"Well, Uchiha Qin Yu's background remains unclear. The safety of Konoha is paramount. If he has ulterior motives, what's stopping him from leaking our secrets to enemy forces?" the Root operative sneered.

The gathered shinobi tensed at his words.

Loyalty was everything in a hidden village. Whether under the Second Hokage or the current administration, Konoha's leadership had always been wary of the Uchiha clan.

It was for this very reason that the Uchiha had been relocated to the outskirts of the village—to monitor them and prevent potential rebellion.
