"Fugaku, what happened?!"

Minato Namikaze arrived in a flash, the residual heat causing him to shield his face.

Sensing the imminent danger, his hands blurred through a series of rapid hand seals.

Three water dragons coalesced from the air itself, surging forward to clash with the raging firestorm.

The advancing wave of flames hissed violently as it was swallowed whole.

Simultaneously, Uchiha Fugaku burst from the dying inferno, his Mangekyō Sharingan reverting to its normal state.

A massive torrent of water erupted forth, submerging the battlefield in an instant.

The fiery remnants hissed and vanished, transforming into a thick mist that shrouded the area.

"Fūton: Dai Tatsumaki!"

Minato continued his assault.

A powerful whirlwind tore through the fog, dispersing it into the heavens.

"Minato, what is going on?!" Moonlight Night hurriedly arrived.

His eyes widened at the scorched landscape stretching for a thousand meters. "Don't tell me... Qin Yu was attempting some kind of forbidden technique?"

"Father, that must be it! We should assist Lord Fourth and capture him at once!" Moonlight Blast chimed in urgently.

His words were cut short by a sudden, chilling presence descending upon them.

"Oh? Were you talking about me?" Qin Yu's voice was casual, yet carried an unsettling edge.

Moonlight Blast stiffened, his breath hitching. He instinctively stepped back, only to trip over himself and fall hard onto the charred ground.

"Night, Minato, don't misunderstand. I was merely testing Qin Yu's abilities. That explosion was just a fireball," Uchiha Fugaku explained as he stepped forward.

His words hung in the air as the assembled shinobi exchanged uneasy glances, their gazes shifting between the burned wasteland and the stoic Uchiha.

"Fugaku, are you serious?" Moonlight Night's voice was tinged with disbelief. "A C-rank Fireball Jutsu shouldn't have this kind of destructive capability. That level of devastation is near an S-rank forbidden technique!"

The other shinobi didn't speak, but their expressions betrayed their thoughts.

The Great Fireball Jutsu was a fundamental technique of the Uchiha Clan, but even among them, this level of power was unheard of.

"I saw it with my own eyes," Minato confirmed, his sharp gaze settling on Fugaku. "The fireball was abnormally large... at least sixty to seventy meters in diameter."

A hush fell over the group.

Every Konoha ninja present exchanged wary glances.

Even Moonlight Night's face paled.

If anyone else had said this, they would have dismissed it as exaggeration.

"Well, if there's nothing else, I'd like to have a word with Qin Yu." Uchiha Fugaku dismissed their shock with a calm nod.

A simple spar had caused this much upheaval.

"Go ahead, but be careful," Minato cautioned.

"Can't we just talk?" Qin Yu sighed, exasperation flickering across his face.

But seeing the firm determination in Fugaku's expression, he turned and walked away, leading the Uchiha leader toward a more secluded spot.

As they vanished into the distance, Minato cast a glance toward Moonlight Night before turning on his heel and heading back to the village.

Qin Yu's abilities had shattered his expectations yet again.

He needed to report this to the Third Hokage immediately.

"Father!" Moonlight Blast scrambled to his feet.

"Silence!" Moonlight Night snapped, his sharp glare pinning his son in place. "You're nothing but a disgrace. You can't even handle a single glare."

His tone grew graver. "Tell me now, did you try to kill Qin Yu?"

Moonlight Blast faltered before stammering, "F-Father, I wouldn't dare act against him without you!"

"Good." Moonlight Night's gaze darkened. "Because if you make the mistake of challenging him again, it won't just be you who suffers—our entire clan will pay the price."

A chill ran through the assembled shinobi.

"This time, it seems that the Uchiha Clan has birthed a shinobi even more terrifying than Shisui the Teleporter."

His words sent a ripple of shock through the gathered leaf ninjas.

In the past, the legendary Sannin—Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade—had stood at the pinnacle of Konoha's strength.

The newer generation had its own rising stars. At the peak stood Minato Namikaze, the Golden Flash, and Shisui Uchiha, the fastest shinobi of his time.

Shisui's meteoric rise had already made many in the village uneasy.

With that parting remark, he turned and walked away.

A few kilometers away, atop a lone rock formation.

Qin Yu stood with the wind at his back. Uchiha Fugaku stood behind him, his expression unusually solemn.

"If you have questions, just ask. Uncle Fugaku, surely you didn't awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan just to hesitate now?"

Uchiha Fugaku stiffened, his pupils constricting in shock.

Qin Yu had seen through his secret in an instant.

Fugaku had awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan during the Second Shinobi War but had never displayed its power openly.

Because he knew the truth.

This power could either protect the Uchiha Clan...

Or lead it to its destruction.
