Naruto: I Draw Power Into Reality

Chapter 89: Chapter 90: Almost Got Tricked

"What now, so early in the morning?"

"Hey hey, you haven't left your house for three days already!"

Tsunade was leaning against the window frame.

Akaba sat up slowly, his groggy mind gradually clearing.

After finishing all that mess, he'd stayed cooped up at home for three full days, spending seven or eight out of every ten hours sleeping.

Just use the front door like normal.

Tsunade had been thinking she probably wouldn't see Akaba at all this month.

"Do you have something to say?"

Akaba was already being very polite by not cursing out loud from his morning grogginess.

Tsunade climbed through the window and tossed him a scroll.

A scroll?

He opened it, revealing several lines of coded text.

"Do we really need a code just for this silly little Manga Con gig?"

Akaba muttered while deciphering, unable to resist commenting.

"Of course."

Tsunade replied without hesitation.

"In the afternoon, two days later—it's kind of short on time, isn't it?"

"It's just cosplay, you know?"

Tsunade didn't quite understand what Akaba meant by "short."

Isn't it just cosplay?

"There are preparations needed beforehand," Akaba explained.

"Things like posters and venue decoration."

Tsunade paused momentarily, then looked at him with doubt and shock filling her eyes. "You actually knew there was all this work to do, yet you still slept peacefully for three days straight?"

"I know I'll be busy, which is exactly why I cherish my rest time more."

Through repeated practice, Akaba had grown so used to changing in front of Tsunade that it no longer fazed him in the least.

That actually makes sense.

Tsunade had no words. She silently sat there waiting.

She glanced around casually, occasionally turning her gaze toward Akaba.

"Come to think of it, aren't people from your clan generally physically weak?"

Tsunade couldn't quite grasp this.

This guy had clearly been slacking off, yet his physical strength seemed to improve day by day.

"Yeah."

Akaba replied simply.

"Then how come—"

"Because I drink TeLunsu milk every single day!"

As Akaba spoke, he licked his lips.

But Tsunade looked completely bewildered, having no idea what he meant. After a brief pause, she hesitated before asking, "What's 'TeLunsu'?"

"Hmm, it's milk."

Finished dressing, Akaba opened the bedroom door. "Let's go."

"Alright, I'll wait for you outside."

Saying so, Tsunade climbed back out the window, disappearing in an instant.

Akaba couldn't help but notice—her Taijutsu had gotten even sharper.

"You're heading out?"

Sakuma Saiki asked, peeking out from the kitchen where she was preparing breakfast as soon as she heard footsteps.

"Yeah, going out to prepare for the Manga Con event."

Akaba explained.

"That was Tsunade who came in through the window just now?"

"I'm off."

Of course women would be nosy like that.

No wonder Tsunade chose to climb through the window—probably trying to avoid situations like this!

Internally sighing, Akaba helplessly waved his hand and exited through the front door.

"Let's go, everyone's been waiting long enough."

Tsunade said excitedly.

"Everyone?"

"The team arranging the venue, plus Granny and others."

Seeing Akaba's puzzled expression, she had to offer further explanation.

"Why does Grandma Mito need to come too?"

"Oh, you know how Granny Mito gets. She's probably just itching to get out and stretch her legs."

Tsunade's tone carried a hint of helplessness.

As the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and also Hashirama Senju's wife, even the slightest movement from her could shake the entire Ninja World.

"No wonder."

Akaba sighed. Living in the village for so long, it was only natural that she became something of a shut-in (or rather, an otaku).

That makes sense!

"Let's head to our clan's compound first."

The two walked along the forest's edge, traveling from the Sakuma clan's territory toward the Senju clan's location.

Midway through their journey, Akuba suddenly wondered—would Mito Uzumaki, an older-generation otaku, attend a manga con too?

As they approached Tsunade's house, he quietly asked, "What character is Grandma Mito cosplaying?"

"Haku."

"Haku, huh? Got it."

Good thing he asked now.

Akaba inwardly felt relieved—if he had found out later, after finalizing the script, everything would have been too late.

He paused, then continued, "Is anyone cosplaying Zabuza?"

"Not yet—we haven't found the right person."

Tsunade replied, "Originally, I was going to have you play him at the last minute."

"At the last minute?"

Akaba was taken aback.

Since when has this sweet girl learned how to pull sneaky stunts? Good thing he checked in advance—otherwise, he'd be forced into the role at the last second, which would be extremely awkward.

An uncomfortable silence fell as they kept walking without speaking.

After a while, nearing the Senju clan's territory,

"I think the teacher should cosplay Zabuza instead. I don't know anything about Water Release techniques."

Akaba seriously suggested.

"Water Release?! Do they actually need to perform ninjutsu?!"

This time, it was Tsunade who looked shocked.

"Yeah, there's a cosplay scene planned. The storyline I came up with reenacts Kakashi's first battle against Zabuza."

Originally, Akaba hadn't intended to add these extra elements.

But given that the Daimyo himself was coming with his entourage, how could they host the event without a show-stopping performance?

The acting requirements aren't too demanding. Plus, it's a pretty exciting scene early on—perfect for an opening act.

"That really is a great suggestion."

Tsunade's eyes lit up, clearly excited.

Then she started chatting nonstop about her own ideas—becoming even more excited than Akaba himself.

By the time they reached the Senju clan compound,

"Oh! What an amazing idea!"

Now it was Mito Uzumaki expressing excitement. The difference, though, was that she seemed slightly disappointed.

"With this storyline, my Haku only has a fleeting role."

"Granny, if you want, why don't you take on Sakura's role too?"

Tsunade slyly suggested.

"What? Seriously?!"

Mito's face lit up with joy. In contrast, Akaba turned pale.

He quickly jumped in before things spiraled out of control, "No way. One character per person, no exceptions. If you really want to cosplay, Grandma, you can wait until the opening is over and use Multiple Shadow Clones on another stage."

Wait… who exactly is Mito Uzumaki again?

She is the most revered elder in Konoha!

If she ended up playing Sakura, Sakumo would probably die of embarrassment once he found out.

"Pfft, you kids are no fun!"

Mito sighed disappointingly, then half-heartedly said, "Fine, fine. Let's go check out the venue."

"Alright, let's go everyone."

Tsunade let out a loud shout, and in an instant, a group of people came rushing in from outside the courtyard.

Akaba quickly scanned the area—every member of the Senju clan was present!

Definitely not someone to cross—twice.

"Tsunade turned to Zhen Qian and said, 'I'll leave things here to you all.'"

Mito Uzumaki glanced toward the side, looking at the dozen or so people standing there—those not attending the event had been assigned to guard the Senju compound.

"Yes, Lady Mito," Zhen Qian nodded in agreement.

"Let's go, little Akaba," Mito smiled gently. "I'm very curious how you plan to handle things."

"Uh… Well, there's still a lot we can't do today, but getting started on the setup seems like a solid move," Akaba muttered nervously.

Well, no helping it. Everyone here carried weight—they were all descendants of the honored warriors who once followed the First Hokage into battle.

Some explanations would be better made ahead of time.

"What?! Still not finished yet?"

Mito blinked, then smiled slightly. "That's fine; I can help with some things too."

"Right… I guess I'll head to the store first and grab those posters."

There was a batch of posters Akaba had previously asked Izumi Yamano to print. They'd arrived at the shop yesterday, so this was the perfect chance to collect them and install everything together.
