Naruto: I Draw Power Into Reality

Chapter 92: Chapter 93: Closing Performance – "Blue Bird"

Over an hour later, Akaba dismissed his Multiple Shadow Clones.

"Just these posters? Is that really enough?"

Mito Uzumaki seemed doubtful.

"Of course it's not enough, but I've reached my limit."

Akaba said tiredly.

That was his way out—if he said his body couldn't take the strain of Multiple Shadow Clones anymore, Mito wouldn't push him.

Mito nodded slightly, hesitated briefly, then asked, "Then how are you planning to arrange the program?"

Being both an elder and a sponsor, she had every right to ask.

"For the opening ceremony performance, Kakashi will face off against Zabuza, followed by one hour for free visiting and shopping time, then everyone gathers again for the closing ceremony."

"Any specific arrangements for the program?"

Mito casually nodded.

"Other than the impromptu performances and sales in between, which depend on individual skills, I plan to include the scene where Haku gets killed during the closing ceremony, and then..."

When Akaba got to this point, inspiration suddenly struck him.

Besides these, he could add a song!

How about "Blue Bird"?

"What are you planning?"

"I want to add a song, but I'm afraid no one can sing it."

Of course he didn't know "Blue Bird," but with his memory and Genjutsu, he could recreate it through illusion techniques.

Now all he needed was a singer.

Mito's eyes immediately lit up as she gently turned sideways. "How about me?"

"Huh?"

Akaba shot her a skeptical look.

"You're so old, are you sure you can do this?"

"Brat, don't judge by appearances. My talents would amaze you more than you can imagine."

Mito softly and proudly said.

"But I can only convey the song through Genjutsu. Will your tenant be able to handle that?"

Akaba was somewhat worried.

"Don't worry. It behaves itself."

Mito gently stroked her stomach, making the Nine-Tails sealed inside shiver slightly.

Don't you dare move... Don't you dare...

At least now it could see the outside world. If that old woman slapped on another seal, it'd be like being locked away again.

If Mito sang, it would definitely make a great highlight.

Akaba inwardly agreed. Instantly, he activated his chakra and cast a harmless illusionary technique without scenes—only a gentle melody appeared.

The melody drifted in, and Mito closed her eyes, letting it sink in.

Since these sounds were materialized from Akaba's memories, they weren't stable.

After a while, the illusion ended.

Not because Akaba stopped casting the technique, but because Mito deliberately interrupted the Genjutsu.

"That's enough."

She opened her eyes, silently recalling for a moment.

The next second,

[Tobatta yo] (meaning "I flew")

The familiar singing voice began following its own rhythm.

Halfway through the song, Akaba couldn't help tearing up.

"Blue Bird"... So many memories!

As the second half of the song played, Tsunade followed the sound and arrived.

She didn't enter the pavilion but instead chose to hide outside and listen in quietly.

Before she realized it, tears were already streaming down her face.

Tsunade was deeply moved—she could feel every emotion woven into the song. The blue bird symbolized freedom, yet Mito was anything but free.

Soon enough, the song came to an end.

Mito Uzumaki said with regret, "It still lacks something without musical instruments."

"It's already great."

Akaba meant it sincerely, without a trace of flattery.

"There's an instrument at my house I used to play. I can bring it over later for accompaniment."

Mito smiled gently as she replied, "Don't worry, I've already memorized the melody."

Talking to a genius really makes things easier.

Akaba felt genuine envy from the bottom of his heart. At the same time, he cast a glance toward the grass ahead.

"Tsunade, do you need help over there?"

He wore that classic Mito smile—gentle yet mischievous.

"Hey, little Tsunade came back. Did you enjoy my singing?"

Mito had known all along.

Tsunade wiped the tears off her face and came out of hiding.

Even though she was moved, she refused to admit it out loud.

"Not even slightly good."

She'd just cried but still insisted on being stubborn—an obvious contradiction between words and actions.

Seeming to realize her words weren't convincing enough, Tsunade pouted and asked, "*Ao Bird*."

Akaba answered, "It's called *Ao Bird*. It symbolizes breaking free from restraints and flying high."

"A beautiful title, perfectly matching its meaning."

Mito remarked with admiration.

Tsunade was taken aback. She thought the song originated from somewhere in the Land of Whirlpools, never imagining it was Akaba's creation.

"Then let this song be the closing number."

Akaba smiled before continuing, "But there will also be a special illusion performance at the very end."

"I'm looking forward to it."

Mito smiled slightly.

Among Konoha's genjutsu ninja, probably no one had more creativity than this young boy standing before them.

But precisely because of that, life became more interesting—otherwise it would have been terribly boring.

"Oh by the way, Tsunade, how are things going with everyone else?"

"Most of the restoration work has finished. Only a few tunnels still require further reinforcement."

Tsunade hadn't slacked off; she really went to inspect the venue's repair status.

"So does that mean the repaired areas can now begin preparation?"

Mito looked at Akaba, since after all, he was the expert here.

"As for the decorations, feel free to go with whatever style you like."

Actually, Akaba didn't know much about manga cons, so he had minimal requirements regarding setup details.

Considering Mito's sense of style, letting her take charge of the decorations should turn out pretty well.

"You're slacking off again, kid, but I quite like this task."

Mito smiled warmly, then asked, "So what will you be doing then?"

"Don't talk nonsense! I'm not slacking off at all!"

Akaba hurriedly denied.

Okay, fine—he'd originally thought about sneaking off for a quick nap, but once he remembered all the work left to do, he dropped the idea right away.

However, Tsunade clearly didn't buy his explanation, eyeing him suspiciously.

"Obviously, since the Daimyo himself is coming, we can't improvise our performance."

Akaba quickly explained.

"That makes sense. So how do you plan to arrange it?"

"First, I'll pay Sakumo Hatake a visit."

Akaba clearly understood Sakumo's talent. Given enough time, he firmly believed the latter could develop his own [Chidori] and [Lightning Cutter] techniques.

Of course, whether he knew Chidori or not didn't really matter.

If he had Chidori, Kakashi could be included in the final scene with Zabuza and Haku; otherwise, the part where Kakashi used Lightning Cutter would be cut.

"I'll leave this to you guys then."

Akaba waved his hand and immediately set off—he didn't want to stay even for half a minute longer.

"I still think he's just trying to ditch us," Tsunade muttered with a smirk once he was gone.

"Little Tsunade, sometimes turning a blind eye makes life more enjoyable," Mito Uzumaki said knowingly.

"Yeah, yeah, grandma!" Tsunade muttered, knowing exactly what Mito Uzumaki meant—her secret gambling habit.

"And besides, isn't it more fun designing and arranging everything yourself instead of letting others point fingers and interfere?"

With a thoughtful pause, Mito Uzumaki picked up her brush and got to work.
