Suddenly, B's eyes snapped open.

But before he could react, Chi Yu clamped a hand over his mouth, muffling the shout. With a subtle gesture, his transformation technique dissolved, revealing his true appearance.

B struggled weakly, his limbs sluggish.

"It's no use," Chi Yu whispered. "You've ingested a special illusion-inducing agent. It suppresses your chakra and numbs your will."

He leaned in closer. "Becoming a Jinchūriki was never your choice. You bore this burden for the village—and what did you get in return? Fear. Hatred. Isolation. They call it honor, but isn't it just cruelty?"

Chi Yu reached toward B's chest, revealing the seal that held the Eight-Tails—the Iron Armor Seal.

Chakra flared at Chi Yu's fingertip as he made a one-handed seal.

"Five Elements Unseal!"

With a surge of chakra, he struck the center of the seal.

The Iron Armor Seal shattered.

A violent surge of chakra burst forth as the Hachibi—the Eight-Tails—exploded out of B's body, demolishing the room and sending shockwaves through the village.

Chi Yu leapt to the rooftop, Mangekyō Sharingan spinning in his eyes.

"Fall... into depravity under the Sharingan!"

His gaze locked with the Eight-Tails'. For a moment, the beast's irises reflected Chi Yu's Mangekyō. The control was brief—but enough.

Under the grip of genjutsu, the Eight-Tails roared and charged into Kumogakure, beginning its rampage.

Chi Yu watched coldly from a distant mountaintop.

The Eight-Tails tore through the village like a force of nature, buildings collapsing and flames rising. Shinobi scrambled to respond, but their jutsu barely scratched the surface of the beast's hide.

The Third Raikage, A, soon appeared, leading an elite force.

"Lightning Release: Armor!"

A cloaked himself in a shroud of crackling lightning chakra. His body glowed with raw energy—speed, strength, and durability heightened to superhuman levels.

In an instant, the Raikage vanished and reappeared above the Eight-Tails' head, slamming his fist down.

The impact forced the tailed beast to the ground with a thunderous crash.

Dust billowed as the Hachibi reared back, already forming a Tailed Beast Ball in its jaws.

If that blast hit the village, it would be annihilated.

"Maximum Output—Lightning Release: Strongest Armor!"

The Raikage's hair stood on end, lightning erupting around him as he tapped into his full power.

He launched upward. The earth beneath him cracked from the sheer force.

With a brutal uppercut to the Eight-Tails' chin, he disrupted the forming Tailed Beast Ball, sending its energy scattering.

"Now—bind it!" he roared.

The elite ninja moved quickly, deploying chakra-suppressing chains.

But the Eight-Tails' power was overwhelming. It shattered the restraints, killing several shinobi with a single swing of its massive tail.

Then, right before A's eyes, the Hachibi gored another comrade with its horn.

"Damn you—!" A's eyes were bloodshot. "Lightning Lariat!"

Surging with lightning, A crashed into the Eight-Tails with a lariat, severing its left horn in one swift motion.

"Stand back, Ai! I'll handle this!"

The Third Raikage retrieved a large, jar-like artifact and called out: "Eight-Tails—answer me!"

The jar's lid flew open, and a powerful suction began.

It was the Amber Purifying Pot, a treasured tool from the Sage of Six Paths. Its power: to seal any being that responds to the wielder's voice.

The Hachibi, under genjutsu and confused, roared in protest—and was sealed instantly.

Chi Yu narrowed his eyes. "So they really had that tool… What a nuisance."

Despite the swift containment, the damage had been done. Kumogakure had suffered catastrophic losses.

Chi Yu stood silently on the mountain, reflecting.

The Third Raikage's speed under Lightning Release Armor… it's likely faster than my Thunderclap Flash. And Ai's base speed wasn't far behind. If he enters his own Lightning Chakra Mode, he could rival me.

He sighed. "There are still many who surpass me. I can't grow complacent."

His mission was complete. Though the village wasn't destroyed, it had been shaken to its core.

Without looking back, Chi Yu retreated from the Land of Lightning.

When Orochimaru received news of Chi Yu's success, he immediately led a Konoha strike force into the Land of Hot Water.

Demoralized by the rampage and death of their Jinchūriki, the Kumogakure forces faltered and were routed.

Once forced to cling to their borders, Konoha's forces now pushed forward, reversing the tide. The Cloud forces had no choice but to retreat.

As per the immutable law of the Jinchūriki—when a Tailed Beast is extracted, the host dies.

B died that night.

Strategically, Kumogakure had no time to grieve. They needed a new Jinchūriki immediately to maintain their balance of power.

The Third Raikage and his son, Ai, ultimately chose to entrust the Eight-Tails to a new host.
