As he traveled, Chinya opened the Redemption Shop and began browsing for suitable sensory abilities. 

At the moment, Chinya had only a total of 1,310 Witness Points, leaving him with very limited options. 

Abilities like Sensor Ninjutsu—which required actual study—he ignored completely. Learning those would require the System to take over his body for simulated training, something absolutely impossible under current circumstances. 

What Chinya needed now was an immediately usable sensing ability. 

Such directly applicable sensory skills came at a much higher cost in Witness Points. 

Take, for example, Thunder Breathing's user, Zenosuke Aoi, whose hearing surpassed that of normal humans—it required a full 10,000 Witness Points. 

That level of auditory perception was absolute pitch perfection, capable of detecting even breathing sounds, heartbeats, and blood flow. With intense focus, it could even pick up on people's innermost thoughts—as if hearing whispers of their minds. 

Ten thousand Witness Points was simply out of reach for Chinya. 

After some searching, Chinya finally found the ideal perception ability. 

[First-Stage Kenbunshoku Haki], costing exactly 1,000 Witness Points. 

Kenbunshoku Haki [also known as Observation Haki] allowed one to intensely sense another's presence. 

It enabled detection of enemies' locations and numbers outside one's visual field, as well as predicting their next movements. 

Kenbunshoku Haki offered a range of functions: detecting incoming attacks, predicting an opponent's next move, judging the strength level of living beings, sensing emotions and thoughts, and identifying the position and number of targets outside one's field of vision. 

Even glimpses into the future were possible. 

However, this ability was closely tied to mental state—remaining calm was crucial for proper use. It became inaccessible when emotionally agitated or having lost one's rationality. 

Fortunately, Chinya himself was naturally calm, so this flaw posed no real issue for him. 

Moreover, the first stage of Kenbunshoku Haki only allowed detection of enemies' positions and numbers beyond his line of sight, and its range remained limited. 

Still, Kenbunshoku Haki had growth potential. 

Chinya could strengthen it later either through personal training or by buying a higher stage from the Redemption Shop. 

Without hesitation, Chinya spent 1,000 Witness Points to acquire First-Stage Kenbunshoku Haki. 

The instant the exchange completed, Chinya felt a sudden clarity in his mind. 

A surge of awareness coursed through him. 

Every slight movement around him—the breeze, the rustling grass—became perceptible. 

Through Kenbunshoku Haki, Chinya clearly sensed approaching Cloud Ninja on both sides and faintly detected their power levels. 

Seven individuals each approached from left and right, totaling fourteen. Most were likely Chunin, while three or four appeared slightly stronger—probably Tokubetsu Jonin-level. 

Chinya barked his order. "Minato Namikaze!" 

"Hai!" 

"You'll lead five ninja to ambush the seven Cloud Ninja about 100 meters to the left—they include a Tokubetsu Jonin. Think you can handle it?" 

When Minato heard Chinya instructing him to lead forces against seven Cloud Ninja, he paused in shock. 

Earlier, he had just reported spotting Cloud Ninja on the right flank, and their exact number hadn't even been confirmed yet. 

Now how did Chinya know there were Cloud Ninja on the left? Not only did he determine their precise count, but he'd pinpointed one among them as possessing Tokubetsu Jonin-level strength?

Could it be the Sharingan?

But aside from the fact that Chinya hadn't even awakened the Sharingan, it didn't possess any sort of penetrating vision either.

Seeing that Minato Namikaze wasn't answering, Chinya snapped, "What are you doing? Time is pressing. Answer me now! Can you do it?!"

Minato snapped back to focus and immediately replied, "I can!"

"Then pick your team immediately and go eliminate them!"

Minato instantly selected five familiar ninja and led them toward the Cloud Ninja on the left side.

Chinya created a Shadow Clone and barked at the remaining ninja, "Follow my Shadow Clone and keep moving ahead. I'll handle the Cloud Ninjas on the right flank!"

Without waiting for a reply, Chinya vanished using the Shifting Body Technique.

Chinya quickly located the position of seven Cloud Ninjas.

He activated his Sharingan and fixed his eyes on the two lead Tokubetsu Jonin.

[Thunder Breathing, Fourth Form: Distant Thunder!]

Lightning burst from Chinya's body as he launched forward at blinding speed, targeting one of the two Tokubetsu Jonin leading the group.

At the sound of thunder, all seven Cloud Ninjas turned toward Chinya—but it was already too late.

As Chinya closed in, he swung his blade in a high-speed slash, instantly decapitating one of the Tokubetsu Jonin.

The other Cloud Ninjas reacted swiftly.

[Cloud Style Front Slash!]

[Cloud Style Crescent Moon Slash!]

The last remaining Tokubetsu Jonin also unsheathed his sword and slashed toward Chinya.

Infusing his sword with Fire Release chakra, the Tokubetsu Jonin unleashed flames as he swung his blade. (Cloud Style Fire Blade Slash!)

Chinya's hands moved rapidly through three hand seals.

Several attacks from the Cloud Ninjas struck Chinya directly.

But Chinya transformed into a puff of smoke and became a log stump.

Standing atop a tree branch, Chinya's hands flew through more seals.

[Fire Release: Great Dragon Flame!] Gathering chakra in his throat, Chinya exhaled an enormous wave of flame—like a roaring sea—toward the enemy.

With such a wide area covered in flames, most of them had no choice but to leap into the air to escape the fire.

[Thunder Breathing's Fifth Form – Heat Thunder Realm!]

Chinya aimed his ninja sword toward the airborne enemies and released a slash-shaped bolt of superheated lightning, blasting straight through two of the Cloud Ninjas' abdomens.

Chinya started forming seals again.

[Earth Release: Earth Dragon!] Using his chakra, Chinya molded massive amounts of earth into a powerful, awe-inspiring dragon that lunged toward one of the enemy ninja.

The Cloud Ninja slashed at the earth dragon with his sword, slicing off part of its head—but new earth quickly replaced the missing piece. The dragon slammed him down into the blazing inferno below.

The remaining three Cloud Ninjas landed on a tree branch.

The Tokubetsu Jonin began making hand seals rapidly.

[Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet!]

The Tokubetsu Jonin spat a concentrated stream of fire toward Chinya.

Chinya completed his seals just in time, raising his hand to his mouth.

[Fire Release: Great Fireball!] After gathering chakra in his throat, Chinya expelled a massive fireball from his mouth.

The thin jet of flame from the Tokubetsu Jonin was instantly swallowed by the fireball, which surged onward toward him.

The Tokubetsu Jonin immediately used the Shifting Body Technique to evade Chinya's [Grand Fireball].

Chinya then looked at the remaining two Cloud Ninja. 

The two Cloud Ninja noticed Chinya staring at them. When they saw his blood-red Sharingan, a chill ran down their spines.

As Chinya charged, both Cloud Ninja instantly raised their swords to counterattack.

To their shock, their blades struck Chinya's body cleanly. 

But there was no feeling of cutting into flesh—Chinya's form suddenly became ghostlike.

A sharp pain lanced through both their necks as blood sprayed from their wounds. Clutching their throats, they plummeted from the branch into the sea of flames below.

Chinya's rotating Sharingan gradually came to a stop.

Now only one Tokubetsu Jonin was left standing.

The Tokubetsu Jonin nestled deep in the dense treetops, barely daring to breathe.

The battle hadn't lasted long, yet an entire seven-man squad had been reduced to just him.

His mission had already failed—he could only retreat now.
