Minato nodded. "I understand, Jiraiya-sensei."

Jiraiya explained, "Minato, although during the past two operations your accomplishments were overshadowed by Chinya, don't underestimate yourself. Combined, your past achievements are more than worthy of this promotion."

Jiraiya patted Minato on the shoulder. "Alright, I know how eager you must feel about learning the Flying Thunder God Technique right now. Work hard!"

After Jiraiya left, Minato immediately unrolled the scroll and eagerly started reading about the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Time passed quickly, and another week went by.

During this period, despite some friction with Cloud Ninja, tensions never escalated too far.

Now, the more than 80 ninja sent here from Konoha were all skilled members of established ninja clans. Even those ranked as Chunin were formidable fighters.
