"What happened to Naruto? Has he returned?" Danzo loudly asked as he entered.

Jiraiya shot him a cold look before turning away.

He had never respected this man who thrived in internal politics but struggled with external affairs.

So much chaos happening in the village? Half of it was probably Danzo Shimura's doing.

At this moment, Danzo noticed the White Zetsu corpse that hadn't been moved yet and couldn't help asking, "What is this?"

At Konoha's village gates.

Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane were on duty as professional gatekeepers.

"Isn't the ground beneath my feet part of the Land of Fire? Why shouldn't I enter? Is Konoha so arrogant that it might as well declare independence?"

Her words hit them like a thunderclap with logic, leaving Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu speechless simultaneously.

As they were momentarily distracted, Yugao's figure flickered and she directly entered Konoha Village.

Only then did Izumo and Kotetsu finally react.

The two exchanged glances before creating Shadow Clones to report at the Hokage Building.

A while later, Tsunade and Shizune also appeared outside Konoha's main gate.

Under the respectful gaze of Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane, Tsunade and Shizune slowly entered the village.

Yugao walked confidently through Konoha's streets.

Everyone who recognized her looked at her in shock.

Anko and Kurenai didn't answer, their silence heavy with tension.

After a long silence, Kurenai let out a sigh. "Yugao, you'd better leave—now."

With that, she and Anko turned and walked away.

Yugao didn't miss a beat. She stepped calmly into a small izakaya.

Soon after, Tsunade and Shizune also stepped into this very izakaya.

At a street corner, Naruto calmly watched as Yugao and Tsunade appeared one after another. Then, he quickly headed toward the Hokage Building.

Danzo Shimura sat there stunned, listening to Hiruzen Sarutobi explain about Kaguya Otsutsuki.

His mind was restless for quite some time.

"So what you're saying is," Danzo finally spoke, "the Nine-Tails comes from the Ten-Tails, which is the God Tree, and Kaguya Otsutsuki used the God Tree to transform humanity into those creatures?"

Jiraiya nodded.

"That's correct," Sarutobi confirmed.

Danzo felt his own vision had been too narrow-minded.

What did becoming Hokage matter? What did governing a single village matter? Even unifying all Five Great Nations didn't amount to much?

Just look at them—they toyed with an entire race like it meant nothing.

"If something like this White Zetsu can live for thousands of years, imagine if we figured out how it sustains its life force—wouldn't that grant immortality?" Danzo murmured excitedly as he stared at White Zetsu's corpse.

"Danzo, right now we should be more concerned about Kaguya's revival," Sarutobi couldn't help reminding him.

"You kept this from me for so long because you thought I couldn't help. If that's the case, why should I even care?"

He randomly found a seat, crossed his arms, and snorted coldly.

Jiraiya scoffed and refused to engage with him.

Sarutobi fell silent.

And that's exactly what he was thinking.

After brooding silently for a while, Danzo couldn't resist asking again, "Seriously, have you identified anything special about this creature yet?"

"Not enough time has passed. We haven't made any discoveries yet," Sarutobi responded.

"What if we handed it over to Orochimaru?" Danzo mused. "Progress would definitely speed up, and considering his obsession with immortality..."

"What? Are you suggesting we collaborate with Orochimaru?" Sarutobi interrupted sharply.

Jiraiya caught something between the lines. "Danzo, are you still in contact with Orochimaru?"

"Do you think Orochimaru could be more terrifying than that woman you mentioned?" Shimura Danzo coughed slightly, without denying his connection with Orochimaru.

"By your logic, perhaps the number of people Orochimaru has killed doesn't even compare to that woman's tally. Even adding up all the casualties from all Five Great Ninja World Wars might not reach a thousandth of the humans Kaguya has murdered..."

This argument sounded reasonable but was deeply flawed, leaving both Jiraiya and Hiruzen Sarutobi at a loss for words.
