The battle at the border quickly tilted in Konoha's favor due to the unexpected attack by the Land of Fire as they advanced directly toward the Land of Sound.

Sakumo was leading the main group advancing toward the city, while hundreds of ninjas followed him, and teams took care of the other enemies on the flanks as they moved forward.

"How are the teams?" Sakumo asked as an assistant—a Hyuuga—approached him from the side to give the report.

"All the Kumo ninjas on the border are being pressured, but none have managed to pass through to inform the enemy, so we're free for a surprise attack," the Hyuuga reported.

"I see… Let's position some ninjas around the city so we can catch anyone trying to alert other camps; we should aim to catch them while we still have the element of surprise." Sakumo ordered as the ninjas began to move, already inside the Land of Sound, with the darkened city appearing on the horizon.

The ninjas moved quickly, now within the Land of Sound, as the shadowed city loomed ahead in the distance.

To the south, Minato was part of one of the squads responsible for securing the border and preventing enemies from relaying information about the surprise attack to other strategic areas. They had just finished dealing with a few more enemy teams and were tracking another group when Minato continued defeating ninjas with his team and helping Duy face high-level opponents. However, the genin felt somewhat lost, as Minato often had to step in to save Duy, using him in some way to handle the situation.

They soon regrouped with the team a moment later, bringing Duy over to Hanabi and Mikoto. "You can guard the bodies like the others," Minato ordered as a toad emerged from his shoulder, landing beside the bodies and opening its mouth to collect them.

They moved forward, bringing the captives inside the toad that Minato had summoned from Mount _____, which he always kept on his shoulder. The summoning facilitated the transport of the bodies. Before long, they reached the area where the commander of their squad was waiting, planning the next steps along with the other teams at Camp 6.

"Well, you're the last ones. I believe we're done here," the commander said, gesturing toward several Kumo ninjas bound on the ground.

"Leader, should we leave them alive? They've killed many of our soldiers over the years. This is our chance for revenge," murmured one of the ninjas as he approached, hatred evident in his gaze as he stared at the prisoners.

"No, we shouldn't do that," the commander replied. Although he understood the ninja's anger and resentment, they couldn't act like this. Minato watched everything from a distance, recalling how he had felt in past situations, when anger overtook him at the sight of fallen comrades, fueling him to fight with fury, killing ninjas on the battlefield.

"We'll use them to negotiate. I'm sure this will be useful for Konoha in negotiations with Kumo," he concluded, signaling for everyone to follow him.

They advanced toward the Land of Sound, crossing the border along with other squads approaching from various sides of the border. In the distance, they could see an intense battle unfolding on the horizon.

"It looks like it's already begun," murmured one of the ninjas as they moved toward the city.

Minato sensed the presence of Sound ninjas who, unaware of Konoha's real position, were just watching.

Flames and intense lights appeared far away, accompanied by echoes of explosions, but what drew everyone's attention was a lightning bolt that shot up from the city a moment later, lighting up the distant sky.

"That…," the commander muttered, surprised.

"This is bad. It looks like they've found a way to alert the other camps," Minato commented, watching the lightning that illuminated the sky, visible for miles. It was clear that the message would reach the other camps, and soon the area would be swarming with Kumo ninjas.

They pushed forward, finally reaching the city, where the battle had already concluded, with all the Kumo ninjas defeated. Some houses were destroyed, and fear spread even more among the city's inhabitants. Hundreds of Konoha ninjas gathered, while the Camp 6 squad halted at a strategic point.

"I'll check the situation and be back shortly," the commander said as everyone nodded, waiting there.

"Minato, do you think we're going to have a fight here?" Duy asked, a bit nervous. It was understandable, as brave as he was with his philosophies, he still hadn't dealt with anything like this before. Now, he was truly on a real mission, seeing firsthand how they worked.

"I believe so. There will be many ninjas, but the worst part is the Jinchuuriki... I don't know him," Minato murmured, trying to understand more about the Two-Tails Jinchuuriki, as he couldn't remember mentions of this figure in the original work, only about Yugito Nii, who hadn't even been born yet and was captured by the Akatsuki in that future.

Everyone remained silent, watching the city completely darkened, except for Duy, who showed a certain restlessness.

"All the places are filled with people..." Hanabi murmured as she observed through her Byakugan.

"Yes..." More than knowing of their presence, he could feel their fears there, which was somewhat uncomfortable for Minato.

At that moment, the squad leader returned. "The commander wants us to set up a security line inside the city, as the enemies are coming here. Even if we try to fight outside, we can use the walls to our advantage," he said. It seemed cruel to use the city as a battlefield, but they were in a war.

Everyone nodded as Minato quickly gathered his team for a briefing and prepared to head to the post designated by the supervisor. Minato also sensed Oto ninjas finally approaching the city as Sakumo spoke with them, explaining the situation.

It wasn't long before ninjas appeared from both the north and the east, coordinated effectively, in numbers matching Konoha's forces, just as Minato had noted in his report. The Kumo ninjas halted in front of the city, analyzing the place.

One of the ninjas began to step forward, looking intently at them as if he were the leader of the Cloud Village ninjas.

"Who is the leader of the Konoha ninjas?" he shouted as he stepped forward, and Minato sensed a powerful presence emanating from him, with an intense chakra—he was the Two-Tails Jinchuuriki, a blond man with an arrogant gaze.

Sakumo stepped forward from the city walls. "I am," he said calmly. The Kumo man saw him and broke into a broad smile.

"Ah, today is my lucky day! We're here precisely because of you, Sakumo Hatake..." he said, while Sakumo narrowed his eyes. The Kumo ninja continued, "I'll give you a proposition: we'll leave Oto and all the Konoha ninjas in peace if you surrender yourself, your life in exchange for all your comrades. What do you say?" he proposed.

The offer sparked indignation among the Konoha ninjas, but Sakumo raised his hand, signaling for them to remain silent as he addressed the Jinchuuriki.

"You speak as if you've already defeated us," Sakumo responded calmly. "Do not underestimate Konoha." He had never seen this man on the battlefield, but that was no reason for him to falter in front of all his ninjas.

The Kumo ninja laughed, derisive. "You may have caught the city by surprise, as it seems you've somehow discovered our operation. But the plan remains the same. Not only have you taken the city, but you've also walked right into a trap we originally set just for you, Sakumo... Allow me to introduce myself. I am Tashi, the one who will kill you!" he said with a confident smile. It seemed Minato was not the focus of attention here, just another ninja doing his part, which was perfectly fine, while Sakumo was the main target the enemies wanted to eliminate.

"Your words are empty. Let's begin the battle!" Sakumo declared, raising his hand to signal his Konoha ninjas to prepare for the attack.

Still, the Kumo ninja continued laughing. "You know, I never joined this war over the past three years, and do you know why? Because they wanted me kept as a secret. But let me tell you something, great Sakumo," he said, clasping his hands together. Blue flames began to form, emerging from his body. Even Sakumo was taken aback, watching an explosion of flames ignite. "Let me show you how a perfect Jinchuuriki fights."

"What is that?" Hanabi asked, watching alongside her team as the immense amount of chakra began to manifest, while Minato's eyes widened in astonishment.

"He's a... perfect Jinchuuriki," Minato murmured, incredulous, as the Two-Tails began to emerge. The flames burst forth, taking shape into a massive cat surrounded by blue flames, towering over the city walls. Even Sakumo observed, shocked, momentarily losing his composure.

"This is bad… All of you, stay here!" Minato ordered urgently, realizing the situation was becoming critical. Matatabi, the Two-Tails, opened its mouth, beginning to form a Bijuu Dama aimed at the city, which would be easily destroyed if the explosion went off, intending to eliminate Sakumo and the Konoha ninjas, even if it meant obliterating an entire city.

Swiftly, Minato reappeared near Sakumo, where he had placed a seal in that area of the city, as everyone watched him move to the far edge of the city wall, directly facing the growing black ball of pure chakra.

"Everyone, get behind me!" Minato shouted as Sakumo looked on, surprised.

"What are you doing?" Sakumo asked, clearly concerned, as the situation was extremely dangerous. He knew Minato could save himself, and even he might survive, but he was uncertain about the other ninjas and the city.

"I'm going to try to stop it," Minato replied to Sakumo, beginning to rapidly form hand seals for a more complex jutsu.

Sakumo had no time to respond or react, as suddenly the Bijuu Dama exploded toward the city, speeding forward and tearing into the ground. Minato finished completing the seals and placed his palm forward. In the next instant, the Bijuu Dama appeared to collide with an invisible space right in front of Minato, halting, as massive seals emerged in the air, absorbing the energy sphere within.

Everyone watched in astonishment, from the Konoha ninjas to the Kumo ninjas behind the Two-Tails.

Minato held the seal steady until the ball was completely absorbed, disappearing, and he quickly performed a new seal, launching the Bijuu Dama to a distant location using a kunai set far away.

All eyes remained fixed in absolute silence, until suddenly, an explosion erupted on the horizon, lighting up the sky and illuminating the entire city. The intensity was so great that even the buildings trembled.

Minato, still standing before the Bijuu, felt a surge of relief at having managed to teleport such a powerful attack using the Raijin seal.
