Naruto: Mission Tsunade – Time for Uncle to Step Up!

Chapter 174: Chapter 174: Pakura

The next day, Kawaki and Tsunade woke up from their sleep.

Smelling the unpleasant sake on each other, they simultaneously let go of their tightly clasped hands.

Both said, "Go and wash up quickly!"

Their disgusted expressions were exactly the same.

"Haha, I'll go back first."

There were no clothes here, so naturally, Kawaki was going home.

"Sure, later I'll bring Orochimaru with me. See you at the hospital."

Tsunade hadn't forgotten what was said last night.

"Okay."

Before leaving, Kawaki kissed Tsunade on the cheek and then disappeared from her sight.

The next second, Kawaki appeared in his own bedroom.

He took his clothes and went into the bathroom. After washing up, he came to the dining room.

Sakumo and Natsuki were already having breakfast with the kids.

"Orochimaru is back, huh?"

Sakumo blurted out, with a fried dough stick still in his mouth.

Last night, when he heard the news that Kushina had returned, he came back early to accompany his wife and kids. Otherwise, he would have also joined the others for a drink.

"Yeah."

Kawaki replied and sat down.

"So, did he succeed in his [Sage Art] training?"

Sakumo was quite gossipy. He knew that Kawaki and Orochimaru must have talked about these things.

The curiosity of the two brothers was exactly the same in some aspects.

"He said he's made some progress."

Kawaki repeated what Orochimaru had said.

"Then he's mastered it quite well."

Sakumo naturally didn't think that Orochimaru had only achieved such a little.

"You're not going to let yesterday's matter go, are you?"

Sakumo knew his younger brother's character very well.

"I'll go there. We're not easy to bully."

Kawaki answered casually while having breakfast, but the matter itself was not casual.

"If you need me, I'll go with you."

Unity is strength. (Just as the saying goes, when brothers are of one mind, their sharpness can cut through metal)

Natsuki naturally wouldn't stop them, but there was inevitably a look of worry in her eyes.

"No, you stay at home with Natsuki and Kakashi."

Kawaki refused firmly. Someone still had to stay by Tsunade's side when he was gone.

"Alright then."

Sakumo guessed that Kawaki had already found a helper and didn't force it.

After everyone finished breakfast, Kawaki got up and left.

He used the Flying Thunder GodFlying Thunder God jutsu, which was very fast. When he arrived at the hospital, Tsunade and Orochimaru hadn't arrived yet.

Kawaki went to the dean's office and sat there for a while.

After about half an hour, he sensed Tsunade's arrival.

He stood up and appeared beside Tsunade. She and Orochimaru were walking towards the research room, chatting and laughing.

"What are you two chatting about so happily?"

Kawaki's sudden appearance didn't surprise them at all.

"Just chatting casually."

Tsunade replied first. They were talking about childhood interesting stories. How could they let Kawaki know?

"Haha, you're late."

Orochimaru only felt sorry that he didn't hear about Tsunade's embarrassing moments.

"Fine, don't tell me. Don't be shocked later."

Kawaki raised his eyebrows at Orochimaru. He thought that the two research projects Tsunade was working on could shock the Ninja World.

"I'm not that easy to shock."

Orochimaru didn't care. He considered himself well - traveled.

He really didn't believe that the two of them could come up with something extremely powerful.

The three of them reached the laboratory in no time, and Tsunade didn't drive Kawaki out.

"Come on, hurry up."

Kawaki impatiently urged Tsunade to take out the things for display.

"What's the rush?"

Tsunade glared at him irritably. This guy was an absolute show-off.

When Tsunade took out the cultivated fingers of Hashirama and the Tailed Beast cells, Kawaki's eyes suddenly lit up. He couldn't wait to show them to Orochimaru.

He managed to restrain his impulse under Tsunade's threatening look.

"What's this?"

Orochimaru showed no change in expression when he saw the fingers. Not to mention just some fingers, he's lost count of how many people he's killed over the years.

"This is a finger cultivated by fusing the cells of the First Hokage and mine."

Kawaki said proudly, introducing what the finger was. He watched as Orochimaru's face changed from calm to shocked.

"What?"

Orochimaru's reaction gave Kawaki a great sense of satisfaction.

"You heard me right. I did the fusion."

"If this finger stabilizes without any problems, we can conduct human experiments."

What Tsunade said made Orochimaru even more convinced. Orochimaru clearly understood the difference between conducting human experiments and forcing people to take life-threatening risks.

"Remarkable research."

"The experiment that the teacher stopped has been revived by you."

Orochimaru said with a touch of emotion. He had heard how many people died in that experiment.

"What about the other one?"

He was extremely eager to know what was in the other petri dish at this moment.

"This is the cell of the Seven-Tailed Beast Chōmei."

"I plan to cultivate a part of the Tailed Beast's body."

"In the future, it can be sealed into a human body, allowing them to use some of the Tailed Beast's abilities."

Tsunade told the truth in a flat tone. She wasn't surprised by what she had researched herself.

"Bold move."

Orochimaru was at a loss for words to describe the shock in his heart. He couldn't miss out on these two great experiments.

"I'll definitely help you complete the experiment."

Orochimaru said to Tsunade earnestly.

"I knew you'd be interested."

Kawaki patted Orochimaru on the shoulder.

"Kawaki-kun really understands me."

Orochimaru licked his lips with a smile. This was such an interesting place.

"Can I have a look at the experiment records first?"

Orochimaru quickly got into the state, and at this moment, Kawaki seemed a bit of a nuisance.

"You can leave."

Tsunade took out her experiment records and gave them to Orochimaru, then issued an order for Kawaki to leave.

"Can't I just take a look?"

Kawaki still hoped to put up a last-ditch struggle.

"What do you think?"

Tsunade asked rhetorically. Orochimaru stood by, smiling and crossing his arms, watching the show.

"Fine, I'll go."

Kawaki reluctantly left the laboratory and sat outside.

It's just some knowledge. What's so great about it? He didn't care.

Watching longingly as Orochimaru and Tsunade huddled together, Kawaki began to regret that he didn't have any talent in this area.

Doing research with Tsunade should be a happy thing.

With all sorts of random thoughts in his head, Kawaki gradually drifted off to sleep.

When he was woken up by Tsunade, it was already noon.

"You were sleeping like a log."

Tsunade was about to give him a shake when Kawaki woke up just in time.

"I felt like something was weighing me down last night. I didn't sleep well."

Kawaki made up an excuse on the spot. Orochimaru glanced at Tsunade a few times.

So this is the real you, Tsunade. Taking advantage of people when they're vulnerable.

"I didn't."

Unable to stand Orochimaru's strange look any longer, Tsunade defended herself.

"Haha, I didn't say a word."

Orochimaru let out a sly laugh, and Kawaki was on the receiving end of Tsunade's loving fist.

"I'm leaving. I'm going to see the teacher."

Orochimaru couldn't get the Kekkei Genkai out of his mind.

"Okay, go ahead."

Kawaki was still rubbing the spot where he'd been punched, and Tsunade replied to Orochimaru.

"See you this afternoon."

After saying that, Orochimaru turned around and left. Kawaki then took Tsunade to the Hatake family's place for lunch.

When Orochimaru returned to the Hokage Building, he felt as if it had been ages.

The environment inside the Ryūchi Cave was quite different from the outside.

Looking at the building, Orochimaru stepped inside.

"Lord Orochimaru."

All the ninjas he passed by greeted him.

When he reached the Hokage's office, Orochimaru knocked on the door.

"Come in."

"Teacher, I'm back."

After entering the office, Orochimaru greeted Hiruzen Sarutobi.

His expression was far less joyful than when he saw Kawaki. Instead, there was just a hint of restraint.

"Good to have you back. Did your training go well?"

Among his three students, Hiruzen Sarutobi was most satisfied with Orochimaru.

But now he was getting a bit too close to Kawaki and Tsunade.

"Yes, I came to see you about something today."

"Go ahead."

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned, wondering what Orochimaru wanted from him.

He rarely asked him for favors.

"I want Acting Kazekage Pakura."

"I want to study her Kekkei Genkai. If I succeed."

"Our Konoha can also train ninjas with Kekkei Genkai on our own."

Orochimaru laid out his request and the potential benefits all at once.

Whether to agree or not was up to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Taking a puff from his pipe, Hiruzen Sarutobi fell into deep thought. After a while.

He finally spoke slowly.

"How confident are you?"

"I won't take her life. It's hard to say how likely I am to succeed."

Orochimaru was straightforward and told the truth without hyping up the project like a salesman.

"I can give her to you, but there's a time limit."

"Is one year enough?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't mean to make things difficult for Orochimaru. They couldn't let Orochimaru keep such an important captive with him indefinitely.

"Sure."

Orochimaru readily agreed. If the time wasn't enough, he could always ask for more.

"Then go and pick her up."

Hiruzen Sarutobi wrote a warrant, stamped it with a seal, and handed it to Orochimaru.

"Thanks, teacher. I'm leaving."

"Alright."

Orochimaru put the warrant in his pocket and left the Hokage's office, heading straight for the Anbu base.

After getting through multiple checkpoints, Orochimaru reached the Anbu prison.

The people here didn't recognize Orochimaru; they only recognized the Hokage.

Everyone here wore masks, so Orochimaru couldn't tell who was who.

He didn't have the interest either. For him, taking Pakura away would achieve his goal.

When he reached the cell where Pakura was held, Orochimaru handed the warrant to the Anbu member.

Immediately, someone opened the cell door. Pakura looked at Orochimaru with a bitter smile. Is he going to send me to my doom?

Since she came to Konoha Village, Konoha basically left her alone.

She had three meals a day, but she was going crazy in this dark and gloomy cage.

"Do you know me?"

Orochimaru had never seen Pakura before. He'd heard from Kawaki, and it turns out she's a brave and responsible ninja.

At this moment, Pakura looked haggard and smelled terrible.

She didn't look like a beauty at all.

"Disciple of the Third Hokage, Orochimaru."

It was obvious that Pakura knew Orochimaru. Almost every country had his data.

"Good that you know me. Now come with me."

Orochimaru covered his nose slightly and walked ahead.

Pakura didn't wanna bother guessing what was gonna happen to her. She just wanted to get outta this prison and see the blue sky and white clouds again.

Following Orochimaru out of the Anbu prison and walking on the streets of Konoha, Pakura was completely confused.

Where was he taking her?
