Chapter 64: Chapter 31

The crew sailed on a calm sea, their practiced movements reflecting their experience. The ship they now called home had been a gift from Z himself, along with a warning to tread carefully. Z had promised to distract the higher-ups, a gesture Naruto deeply appreciated as he stood at the helm, gazing into the endless horizon.

Naruto turned to Shiro, who had settled on the deck without her usual armor. "Are you sure you want to follow me and not Z?" he asked, his voice steady but probing.

Shiro tilted her head, her dark eyes meeting his. "I share responsibility for your death," she said simply. "But more than that, I trust you to help me achieve my goals. Z draws too much attention. With him, I'd end up captured or worse."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," Naruto replied with a faint smile, his gaze returning to the sea. It was then that he noticed a small boat approaching their ship.

'A curious sight,' he thought, watching the tiny vessel draw nearer. His sharp eyes made out the figure of a young girl aboard. He remained silent, and the crew followed his lead, watching as the girl maneuvered her boat close to their ship. She leaped aboard with surprising agility, her pink hair catching the light as she landed gracefully on the deck, a pistol in her hand.

"Surrender peacefully," the girl declared, her voice filled with bold confidence. "Be honored to become the crew of Jewelry Bonney!"

Adam burst into laughter, stepping closer to her. "What's a cute kid like you doing out here? Go back to your mama and her teats before stepping into this life," he joked, his grin wide.

Tashigi, standing nearby, frowned. "How vulgar. Must he say such things in front of a child?"

Bonney's expression darkened. Without a word, she reached out and touched Adam's hand. In an instant, his towering frame was reduced to that of a six-year-old boy.

"See the consequence of your hubris," Bonney said, her voice sharp. She pressed the gun to the now-small Adam's temple. "If you don't want to join me, surrender."

Naruto, unperturbed, spoke calmly. "Interesting. You can join us, little one, but stop causing trouble."

Bonney turned to him, but as she met his gaze, her confidence faltered. She felt an overwhelming presence, a monstrous weight pressing down on her as if the very ocean of wrath was dragging her into its depths. Her legs buckled, and she collapsed.

'What is he?'

'I feel like I'm dying... like I'm drowning in fear,' Bonney thought, her body refusing to obey her will.

Naruto approached her slowly, his voice soothing but commanding. "Relax, child. I won't harm you. Return him to his former self, and you'll have a place among us. Consider it an honor."

He placed his hand gently on her head, and Bonney's vision blurred as she felt him enter her mind.

Inside her mindscape, Naruto found himself in a strange world filled with food—mountains of sweets, rivers of sauce, and hills of savory dishes. Amid the surreal landscape, he spotted Bonney huddled on the ground, trembling.

He walked toward her, his steps unhurried. "Do as I've said, Bonney," he commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.

She looked up, her wide eyes filled with fear. "Who are you? What is this place?" she asked, her voice shaking.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki," he replied, his tone calm but firm. "The same person speaking to you outside. This is your mind, and I've entered it to speak directly to you."

Naruto extended a hand, pulling her up from the ground. "Don't be afraid. You're mine now, and nothing will hurt you as long as you're with me."

His words were soft, almost tender, but laced with an undeniable authority. Bonney, overwhelmed and out of her depth, felt her resolve crumble. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "Please don't hurt me."

Naruto smiled, embracing her gently. "There's no need to apologize. Just return Adam to his true form and join us. You'll be safe with me."

Bonney, her mind spinning, nodded hesitantly. "Yes... I'll undo what I've done and join you. It's better than death."

As the connection faded and Naruto returned to the real world, Bonney stood shakily, avoiding his gaze. She touched Adam, reversing her ability and restoring him to his original form. Adam flexed his fingers, testing his limbs, before glaring at her.

Naruto, now standing tall beside Bonney, placed a hand on her shoulder. "Welcome aboard, Jewelry Bonney," he said with a smile that was both reassuring and unsettling.

Bonney glanced at him, her mind swirling with thoughts. Who is this man? Could he truly be the same Naruto Uzumaki rumored to have been executed by the Marines?

For now, she pushed those thoughts aside. Whether by fear, curiosity, or some strange pull she couldn't explain, she was now part of his crew.

The crew's mission of domination proceeded smoothly, with each step carefully orchestrated by Naruto's meticulous planning and growing arsenal of abilities. Their newest recruit, Jewelry Bonney, though only 14, was proving to be a promising addition. Naruto had personally designed a rigorous training plan tailored to her potential, ensuring she wouldn't remain the weakest link for long.

As the crew arrived at Shimotsuki Village, their reputation preceded them, amplified by Naruto's control over marine bases in the region. Using his new ability to infect and influence minds, Naruto had swiftly turned leaders into his puppets, ensuring the islands under their control were stable and productive. His focus wasn't just on conquering but on fostering growth, utilizing knowledge he had accumulated over decades.

Shimotsuki Village, however, presented a unique challenge. Unlike the other islands, it had a formidable fighting force and a proud martial tradition, anchored by the Isshin Dojo.

Naruto, clad in his imposing full armor, walked at the head of the trio, flanked by Adam and Smoker. Their sinister appearance drew gasps and whispers from the villagers, who instinctively stepped back, giving them a wide berth. The trio exuded an air of menace, their presence demanding attention and respect.

Standing at the entrance to the village was Koushirou, the dignified head of the Isshin Dojo. Behind him stood his elder students, their stances steady, though their eyes betrayed their unease.

Koushirou stepped forward, his tone polite but firm. "How may we assist you, gentlemen?"

Adam, ever the blunt one, smirked. "Nothing much. We're here to conquer this island, and you're going to serve under us. Simple as that."

Naruto, sensing the tension, softened the blow with a more diplomatic approach. "There's no need for alarm. Under our protection, your lives will improve. We'll ensure your safety from all threats."

Koushirou's gaze didn't waver as he asked, "And if we refuse?"

Naruto's tone remained calm, but his words carried an undeniable weight. "Refusal would be unfortunate. I'd prefer not to use force, but resistance is futile. I'm not here to take away your freedom. In fact, I'll ensure fairness and prosperity for your people. Once you've seen the changes we bring, you'll understand."

Unbeknownst to Koushirou, Naruto's threads of power had already encircled him, poised to act if needed. The subtle pressure of Naruto's presence alone made the dojo master falter. Realizing the futility of resistance, Koushirou lowered his head, signaling his submission.

"We accept your conditions," he said solemnly, dropping to his knees. "Please, be merciful."

Naruto stepped forward, placing a hand on Koushirou's shoulder. "You've made a wise choice. Rest assured, I stand for justice. No unfairness will be tolerated under my rule." With those words, Naruto subtly implanted a seed of loyalty in Koushirou's psyche, ensuring his allegiance.

Naruto surveyed the village, noting its strategic position and the skill of its fighters. Turning to Smoker, he issued his orders. "This island is ideal for a base. Smoker, bring the others to the far side and begin preparations."

Smoker nodded and left to gather the rest of the crew. Meanwhile, Naruto strolled through the village, his armor gleaming in the sunlight. Villagers watched him with a mix of fear and curiosity, their eyes tracking his every move.

As Naruto walked through the streets, something caught his attention. Two children, a boy and a girl, sparred with wooden swords in a small clearing. The boy had striking green hair, his movements brimming with raw determination and potential. The girl, slightly more refined in her technique, matched him blow for blow, her stance showcasing discipline and grit.

Naruto stopped in his tracks, his Observational Haki analyzing them deeply. Such fighting spirit... They have great potential. Perhaps even enough to stand alongside me one day.

He made a mental note to keep an eye on them. While he had done this on every island they passed, searching for potential recruits, these two stood out. Their fire and drive were unmistakable, and Naruto saw the seeds of greatness waiting to be nurtured.

With Shimotsuki Village under their control and the foundation of their influence growing stronger, Naruto's crew prepared for their next move. The Kingdom of Goa, a more significant and challenging target, loomed on the horizon. For now, Naruto's focus remained on consolidating their gains and identifying those who could rise to join their ranks. The world was vast, and Naruto was determined to shape it in his image.

Naruto's gaze fell upon two children who radiated potential: Kuina, the skilled swordsman-in-training, and Zoro, a fiery boy with an unyielding will. Using his hypnotic influence, Naruto touched their foreheads lightly, commanding, "Come, children, follow me."

They followed without resistance, their wills momentarily subdued. Koushirou watched helplessly as his two protégés walked away, his heart heavy with worry. Despite his fears, he trusted that resistance would bring ruin to the village. For now, he decided to observe and hope for the best.

Naruto brought the children to the island's edge, where his crew awaited. Standing tall, he addressed them with a commanding presence.

"We will establish a base here," Naruto declared. "I will design it, and you will ensure it is built. No delays. I want it completed within two weeks."

The crew nodded, fully aware of the urgency in his tone. Koushirou, tasked with helping the construction effort, departed with the rest of the crew. Only Naruto and the children remained.

Turning his attention to the young recruits, Naruto released his hypnotic hold over them. As clarity returned to their eyes, they saw their master, Koushirou, walking away with Naruto's men. The reality of the situation began to sink in.

Naruto crossed his arms and spoke calmly. "Introduce yourselves."

The children hesitated, but the youngest, a seven-year-old with a long nose and an eager spirit, stepped forward. "My name is Usopp, Captain!" he exclaimed, puffing out his chest. Usopp had joined willingly, inspired by the promise of strength and the crew's kindness toward his ailing mother.

Next was Kuina, an eleven-year-old girl whose determination was etched into her every movement. She frowned slightly as she asked, "What have you done to my father?"

Naruto's voice was steady. "Your father is fine. He now works for me, as does everyone else on this island. From today onward, this place is my territory, and you—Kuina, Zoro, Usopp—are my students. I will give you the strength to achieve greatness, power beyond your wildest dreams."

Kuina hesitated before speaking, her voice betraying her uncertainty. "Do you think I can become one of the strongest?"

Naruto's eyes locked onto hers, his voice filled with unwavering confidence. "Of course. Follow the path I set for you, and being the strongest will be inevitable. The training will be brutal, but the results will be worth it."

The fire in Kuina's heart reignited. She bowed deeply. "I accept, Master."

Beside her, Zoro grinned, his excitement barely contained. "If Kuina is in, I'm in too. My name is Zoro, and I'll be the strongest swordsman in the world!"

Naruto smiled. "A bold goal, child. I'll make sure you achieve it. Know this: I am the strongest being in existence. Though my power is not yet at its peak, you have the best teacher you could ask for."

His words inspired awe in the boys, while Kuina remained skeptical. She had never heard of Naruto, much less of his supposed unmatched strength, but she resolved to give him a chance.

Naruto pulled out three small bottles filled with a luminous, swirling liquid. "Drink this," he said, handing them to the children. "It will accelerate your growth and awaken potential you didn't know you had."

The children hesitated briefly before downing the potions. Almost instantly, their bodies convulsed, and they collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony as the concoction worked its way through their systems. The potion, a mixture of rare herbs and sea dragon blood, was designed to enhance their strength and resilience at a cellular level.

Naruto turned to Hina, who had emerged from his soul realm to take physical form. "Take care of them while I handle something else," he instructed.

Hina nodded, worry evident in her eyes. "Be careful and come back soon."

"I will," Naruto said gently. With a parting smile, he flew into the sky, heading toward Cocoyashi Village at an unimaginable speed.

In mere moments, Naruto descended upon Cocoyashi Village, his presence heralded by a gust of wind and a ripple in the air. The villagers, startled by his sudden appearance, froze in their tracks. Naruto's sharp eyes scanned the area, assessing the people and the layout. He had come with a purpose: to expand his reach and prepare for the battles to come.
