Naruto: My Bedroom Connects to Rin Nohara 14 Years Ago

Chapter 11: Sharingan Kakashi

"Uh, this is a group photo of our team. I was wondering where to put it?" Ishikawa raised the photo frame he had made that afternoon and calmly handed over the picture.

Nohara Rin immediately took the frame and examined it closely. Her gaze froze slightly when she saw the familiar yet distant masked face.

"This is Kakashi at 25 years old? Why is he covering his left eye?"

"Perhaps… It's because of that legendary name!" A glimmer of joy flashed in Ishikawa's eyes, as if a fish had taken the bait. He scratched his head, pretending to recall something.

"Legendary name?" Rin asked instinctively, curiosity and excitement welling up in her chest.

Kakashi had been a prodigy since childhood—of course, his future title must be extraordinary!

Seeing Rin's expectant expression, Ishikawa chuckled inwardly and replied with reverence,

"He's known as the man who copied over a thousand jutsu. The Five Great Nations all call him the Copy Ninja Kakashi or Kakashi of the Sharingan!"

"Sharingan? Ka… Ka… shi?" Rin, who thought she was mentally prepared, gasped in shock!

This was completely different from the title she imagined—it was the exact opposite! Sharingan? Why would Kakashi have the Uchiha's Sharingan?

"You mean Kakashi's covered left eye is actually a Sharingan?! How is that possible? He's from the Hatake clan! How can he possess the Uchiha clan's bloodline limit?!" Rin nearly shouted, pointing at the photo with disbelief.

What on earth is going on?

"They say... it was a special gift from his best friend to celebrate his promotion to Jonin and his twelfth birthday. Sorry—that's all I know." Ishikawa answered, shrinking his neck and backing away as if startled.

"Best friend... Jonin... Twelfth birthday present..." Sure enough, the shaken Rin locked onto the keywords and began repeating them, her expression growing darker.

The three of them were eleven this year. That meant Kakashi would receive the Sharingan around his birthday next year, right after being promoted to Jonin.

And Rin didn't even need to think to know Kakashi's best friend with the Sharingan could only be Uchiha Obito.

But Obito… would he really give up his eye? That was impossible.

She clearly remembered how much Obito cherished that unawakened Sharingan. It was his ace—the one thing he hoped would let him surpass Kakashi.

There was no way he would willingly give it away. Their relationship wasn't that close either. If anything, the two of them argued constantly, often giving her and Minato-sensei a headache…

And yet, the truth in the photo couldn't be denied.

"Wait—could it be!!" Suddenly, Rin remembered something Ishikawa had said earlier—Kakashi was the only one left from their original four-man team. Was that the reason?

"Ishikawa, do you know the exact age at which Obito and I died?"

Looking at the tense, nervous Rin, Ishikawa shook his head and replied, "I don't know. I can't ask about that."

"If Kakashi-sensei knew your secrets, he might try to change the past… but that would alter the present—and might even trigger the Fourth Great Ninja War. I can't take that risk."

"I see…" Rin lowered her head in disappointment. She opened her mouth several times, struggling with her thoughts, but in the end, she didn't press him further.

The past can influence the future. If this information leaks, I believe no ninja village would ignore it—launching a war and invading Konoha would become inevitable.

No matter who travels between the past and the future, including the two of them, it poses a grave risk to both timelines.

"But don't worry. At the very least, you'll be safe until Kakashi-sensei is promoted to Jonin. What we can do now is strengthen ourselves and, when the time is right, change our fate!"

Seeing Nohara Rin's face turn pale, Ishikawa couldn't help but comfort her.

He had revealed all this to instill a sense of urgency in her—and to pave the way for future training.

The stronger Nohara Rin became, the greater the benefits he could gain!

Before he had enough power to protect himself, Ishikawa had no intention of crossing time and space to join the chaos of the Third Ninja War. He wasn't foolish enough to think Anbu and Root were just for show?

"You're right. Kakashi's birthday is on September 15th, so we still have one year and two months until his twelfth birthday. That's all we can count on for now." After a brief silence, Nohara Rin nodded in agreement—unintentionally revealing another piece of valuable information.

"Ms. Rin, you seem to know Kakashi's birthday quite well..." Ishikawa teased playfully, though his heart sank slightly.

One year and two months. Rin's incident happened about half a year after the Kannabi Bridge mission. The timeframe was tight, but just enough for him to grow stronger.

Ishikawa didn't care whether Obito faked his death or not. What truly concerned him was that Rin had been manipulated by Madara into becoming a pawn for Obito's eye awakening. That was an ending he couldn't accept.

Only Rin could open the other space-time door of her timeline. If she died, wouldn't his golden finger become useless? Who knew what would happen to this super-time-and-space room after her death? It might even disappear completely.

No matter what, he had to save Nohara Rin. At any cost.

"Uh, well, Kakashi, Obito, and I are all close friends, so of course we know each other's birthdays and stuff."

Rin gave a shy smile and quickly picked up the photo frame, placing it beside the photo of their Minato team to change the subject.

Ishikawa wasn't jealous or upset by her actions.

Nohara Rin was free to like whomever she wanted. Whether she liked Kakashi or Obito—it didn't matter to him. Rin wasn't his type anyway.

More importantly, Ishikawa had no right, no reason, and no interest in pursuing love at the moment. Especially not with someone who wasn't his type—and who happened to hold the lifeline of his future.

There was no such thing as eternal or unshakable interest in romance. Ishikawa wasn't foolish enough to sacrifice the opportunity for someone like young Tsunade—or even the world—for the sake of Rin...

"By the way, did you notice any changes in your body after getting electrocuted by the door handle yesterday? My physical strength and cellular energy improved, and I can extract more chakra!" Suddenly, Rin turned around, pointed at the door, and asked excitedly.

So she noticed it too! Hearing this, Ishikawa let out a small sigh—but he wasn't surprised. Even a rookie Genin like him had sensed the change. Of course, a medical ninja like Nohara Rin, who also got shocked, would notice it too.

"Yeah, I noticed it as well! This might be our opportunity to become stronger and change our fate." Ishikawa replied with feigned excitement, and then his expression turned serious.

"Ms. Rin, I heard you're skilled in medical ninjutsu. Can you teach me healing skills?"

He hadn't planned on learning the Mystical Palm Jutsu so early, but now that he had the door handle plug-in, why not try?

Once he mastered it, he'd have a way to preserve his life… And it would mark a major step forward in his strength.
