Naruto: My Goal Is Tsunade

Chapter 40: [40] Big Bro's Buying You Ramen

Ryosuke didn't answer Yatsushiro's question directly. Instead, he posed one of his own.

"Of course I want to see the Uchiha clan rise again. But what exactly do you plan to do?"

Yatsushiro was pleased with his attitude. Ryosuke clearly aligned with their faction.

Reviving the clan meant putting the clan's interests first—unlike Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui, who had joined the Hokage's Anbu, betraying the clan in his eyes.

"Our radical faction plans to unite and pressure the clan head," Yatsushiro explained. "We'll stage a coup and force the Third Hokage to step down. One of our own will take the seat of Hokage. What do you think?"

Ryosuke wasn't impressed.

"That's it? Just force him to step down?"

He understood all too well that this was a life-or-death political battle. The enemy had already considered wiping out the entire Uchiha clan—including civilians. Their methods were ruthless.

Yet these so-called radicals acted like they'd grown soft in peacetime, completely lacking the ferocity of their warring-era ancestors.

With that mindset, they would never revive the Uchiha.

Yatsushiro was puzzled by Ryosuke's reaction.

"You don't think placing an Uchiha in the Hokage seat is enough?"

Ryosuke's expression suddenly turned dark and cold.

"Of course not. We need to wipe out Konoha's leadership entirely. Only then can we truly protect ourselves and restore the Uchiha name."

Yatsushiro didn't share Ryosuke's excitement. In fact, he felt a chill.

This boy was too extreme—bordering on dangerous.

The Uchiha didn't have the strength to completely eliminate the village leadership. Even if every clan member fought, they wouldn't stand a chance.

Konoha's power was immense—the Hokage's Anbu, and even worse, Danzo's Root, which had specifically targeted the Uchiha.

Even other clans in the village wouldn't stand idly by if the Uchiha tried something like that.

Such a plan would lead the Uchiha to destruction.

"That's too extreme," Yatsushiro said flatly. "We only need to seize control. Once we have that, we can restore the Uchiha's honor."

Ryosuke responded coldly.

"Elder Yatsushiro, don't be naïve. Do you think Konoha's leadership will just sit back and watch us take power? That they'll hand it over peacefully?"

"Power struggles are always bloody. If we don't want to fight to the death, then we might as well curl up and stay subservient."

Yatsushiro slammed the table, furious.

"That's enough! Say no more."

Ryosuke was too radical—too dangerous. He was talking about an all-out war against Konoha's leadership.

The radicals just wanted to reclaim what was theirs—not commit clan suicide.

"Get out. We radicals have nothing more to say to you."

Ryosuke left the office without a care.

So the radicals had long since lost the ruthlessness needed for real revolution.

Outside, Raihō had heard the sounds of their argument and saw Ryosuke storm out.

He hurried in and saw Yatsushiro's dark expression, tinged with anger.

Had Ryosuke rejected their offer and enraged him?

"Elder Yatsushiro, did he refuse to join us?" Raihō asked nervously.

He was disappointed. Why were the clan's elites unwilling to fight for their people?

Yatsushiro calmed down and replied with clear dissatisfaction.

"That guy's insane. He wants to go to full-scale war with Konoha's leadership and kill them all."

"That would drag the entire Uchiha clan to its doom."

"Don't repeat any of this outside. If Konoha's higher-ups catch wind of it, they'll move against us immediately."

Raihō was stunned.

Was Ryosuke really that extreme?

Starting a war with the top brass and killing them all? That was suicide.

If the Uchiha tried something that reckless, their reputation would plummet. The other clans would likely unite against them.

Now he understood Yatsushiro's anger. Their radical faction just wanted to restore their clan's glory—not plunge it into destruction.

Meanwhile, Ryosuke was heading back to the ancestral grounds when he happened to catch a glimpse of a blond-haired boy standing alone in a corner.

He approached quietly.

Naruto sensed someone nearby and looked up to see a young man in a high-collared robe walking toward him.

At first, he was wary.

But this stranger didn't wear the usual cold, hateful expression. Instead, his face was calm and kind.

Naruto asked cautiously, "Mister, are you a ninja?"

Ryosuke was surprised Naruto spoke to him. But the way he addressed him made him laugh a little—he was only sixteen.

"Don't call me mister. Just call me Ryosuke-nii."

"And yeah, I'm a ninja."

Naruto's eyes widened in disbelief.

Besides that one old man, this was the first person who had ever treated him kindly.

Ryosuke's friendly attitude immediately lifted his spirits.

"Ryosuke-nii, I want to become a strong ninja one day too!"

Ryosuke smiled.

"You absolutely can."

After all, in the original story, Naruto would go on to become the Seventh Hokage.

Then Naruto looked a little unsure.

"Ryosuke-nii… you don't hate me?"

Ryosuke paused. The kid had been hated so much he was scarred.

"Why would I hate you?"

Considering everything Naruto had been through and hadn't turned bitter, Ryosuke respected him even more.

If it had been him, treated like that by Konoha's leadership and villagers, he wouldn't have just walked away—he might have turned against them.

Because they didn't deserve his protection.

Naruto asked again, confused.

"Lots of people in the village hate me. They call me 'fox demon.' Do you know why?"

He had checked himself in the mirror plenty of times and had never seen any fox features.

Ryosuke chuckled.

"Fox demon? Anyone calling you that is a damn idiot."

Naruto blinked.

"What's an idiot?"

Ryosuke explained patiently—after all, he was still a kid.

"It means someone with no brain. Or someone whose brain is broken."

Naruto nodded thoughtfully.

So the people who cursed at him were brainless or brain-damaged. That actually made sense.

He decided to trust this Ryosuke-nii.

Ryosuke remembered how Naruto had been kicked out of shops earlier and said gently, "How about I buy you some ramen?"

He deeply respected the Fourth Hokage, Minato. Naruto was his son—he didn't deserve such a cruel childhood.

Naruto tilted his head. "Ryosuke-nii, what's ramen? Is it tasty?"

Ryosuke grinned, recalling the taste.

"It's delicious."

Naruto's eyes lit up, but he hesitated again.

"But I only have ten ryō… I don't know if that's enough."

An old man had given him that money.

Ryosuke's expression darkened.

Just ten ryō? That cheapskate old man had to be the Third Hokage.

Only ten ryō? Was he joking?

Had he pocketed the inheritance Minato and Kushina left behind?

There's no way the Fourth Hokage left his child with nothing.

The Third Hokage was seriously corrupt.

Ten ryō couldn't even buy a bowl of plain noodles.

Naruto noticed Ryosuke's reaction and quickly said, "If it's not enough, then I won't go."

He turned to leave.

He usually ate cheap food. It filled his belly, even if it didn't taste great.

Still, he didn't complain. The old man who helped him was already a great person in his eyes.

But Ryosuke called out, stopping him.

"It's fine. Big bro's treating you."
