Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Time passed like a fleeting shadow.
In the blink of an eye, a month had gone by.
Today marked the final round of the Chunin Exams in Konoha. Though it wasn't as bustling as the multi-village exams held during peacetime, a large crowd still gathered to watch.
However, Uchiha Haruki wasn't among them.
Because for him, today was a very important day.
With a thought, Haruki opened his status panel.
There it was—his Sharingan awakening progress had reached (99/100), just one final step from fully awakening.
He glanced over at his [Mind Projection Technique], which had long since broken through level 2 and now stood at Lv3 (595/1000).
Just as he'd anticipated, upgrading the [Mind Projection Technique] to level 3 had significantly accelerated the Sharingan's awakening, far surpassing the effectiveness of level 2.
While Lv2 had only brought his Sharingan to (89/100) at maximum, leveling up to Lv3 yielded a dramatic improvement.
Essentially, for every 50 points of mastery gained, the Sharingan's awakening would progress by one point.
So, for over a full month, Haruki had funneled nearly every bit of available chakra into mastering [Mind Projection Technique].
Eventually, he pushed it all the way to Lv3 (595/1000).
By that pattern, the Sharingan should've fully awakened at Lv3 (550/1000), yet the final point stubbornly refused to budge.
Now, even at Lv3 (595/1000), the barrier hadn't broken.
Still… it was close.
Haruki had a strong gut feeling—if he pushed [Mind Projection Technique] to Lv3 (600/1000), his Sharingan would awaken for sure.
His heart thumped wildly in his chest.
Haruki took a few deep breaths, calming his nerves before launching into the technique.
Once… twice… three times… five times!
And finally—
[Mind Projection Technique] reached Lv3 (600/1000).
In the very next moment, as Haruki began his sixth cast, a surge of strange chakra suddenly erupted inside his mind.
This chakra, triggered and catalyzed by the technique, rushed straight into his eyes—reaching a critical threshold.
A tingling, itchy sensation flooded his vision. Haruki rubbed at his eyes instinctively.
When he lowered his hand…
A pair of blood-red single-tomoe Sharingan had manifested within his eyes.
In that instant, the world around him seemed to shift—the clarity of his vision sharpened immensely, as if the resolution jumped from 720p to 1080p.
Dust particles floating in the air, the fine patterns on leaves outside the window, even the smiling faces of people on distant streets—everything came into sharp, vivid focus.
"So this… is the vision of the Sharingan!"
It took Haruki a long moment to return to himself, before he finally let out a heartfelt sigh of awe.
Lowering his head, he turned his gaze inward.
Though not as all-seeing as the Byakugan, he could now observe his own chakra levels and rough flow patterns.
Right now, he could clearly see that he had very little chakra left, and what remained was being drawn toward his head—toward his eyes.
This ability would be immensely useful in combat. He'd be able to observe the enemy's chakra flow, predict movements, and anticipate attacks.
No wonder people in the ninja world often said:
"When facing the Sharingan, if it's one-on-one—run. If it's two-on-one—attack from behind."
In head-on combat with evenly matched strength, the Sharingan offered an overwhelming advantage.
And this was just its perception ability.
The Sharingan also had two other powerful abilities: hypnosis and replication.
The former allowed Uchiha users to resist normal genjutsu and enhance their own, while the latter enabled them to copy enemy taijutsu and ninjutsu techniques.
Of course, the effectiveness of replication heavily depended on the Uchiha ninja's own abilities.
Take taijutsu, for example:
Even if you could copy an opponent's movement perfectly, you'd still be unable to perform it if your physical condition wasn't up to par. Trying to force it could even injure you.
As for ninjutsu:
Techniques tied to bloodline limits couldn't be copied.
Techniques that didn't match the user's chakra nature were also unusable.
For example, Haruki's chakra nature was currently Fire. Until he developed other affinities, he could only replicate Fire-style ninjutsu.
And even then, if he didn't have a deep enough understanding of Fire Chakra's shape and nature transformations, his copied techniques would be superficial at best.
That's why, out of all those who possessed the Sharingan, only Kakashi—with his diverse chakra natures and immense talent—earned the nickname "Copy Ninja."
Pulling himself out of his thoughts, Haruki deactivated his Sharingan and summoned his status panel.
[Status Panel]Name: Uchiha HarukiAge: 10 → 11Constitution: 6 → 7Mental Strength: 7 → 9Chakra: 230 (2510 → 2570)Bloodline: Sharingan · Single Tomoe (1/1000)

Basic Taijutsu: Lv3 (Mastered)
As expected, the awakening of the Sharingan triggered a breakthrough in his innate potential.
His Constitution increased by 1 point, and his Mental Strength rose by 2.
At a glance, a difference of one or two points didn't seem like much—but in truth, the leap from Mental Strength 7 to 9 was far more difficult than Constitution 6 to 7.
If he had to quantify it, the mental boost was ten times harder.
That made it more likely that the constitution boost was a side effect of overall physical development, while the mental spike was a direct result of awakening the Sharingan.
After all, the Sharingan was rooted in Yin Release, tied to spiritual power.
The body's growth likely came from months of accumulated training and physical development, with the Sharingan acting as a catalyst.
Regardless of how it happened, the result was what mattered—his basic attributes had improved, meaning his potential had expanded once again.
That meant his [Chakra Refinement Technique] could now increase his maximum chakra further.
As for how much? He wasn't quite sure yet.
Still, Haruki estimated it wouldn't be less than 1,500 points.
Shifting his gaze from the stats, Haruki focused on the bloodline section.
Where it once said "Sharingan · Unawakened (99/100)", it now read:
"Sharingan · Single Tomoe (1/1000)"
The presence of a progress bar meant he could continue leveling it up through experience—just like before.
How exactly he would train it, however, still needed testing.
Also, the chakra consumption from using the Sharingan would need to be carefully measured.
Haruki had no intention of being caught in battle only to find himself out of chakra and die a stupid death.
Fortunately, with the mastery panel, he could quantify all of this in detail.
That way, he'd always know his limits.
