Naruto: My Progress in Konoha.

Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Time flew by like a white horse galloping past a crack.

In the blink of an eye, a month had passed.

That evening—

Uchiha Clan Grounds.

Inside a secluded training field.

Uchiha Haruki's hands blurred through a flurry of hand seals. As he finished, he opened his mouth wide and unleashed a massive stream of fire.

The flames soared into the air, then quickly split and condensed, forming dozens, nearly a hundred small fireballs, each shaped like the seeds of a phoenix flower.

As Haruki's Sharingan spun in his eyes, the fireballs responded to his will and scattered, targeting over a dozen trees nearby.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A rapid series of controlled explosions followed.

The fireballs struck the trees with sharp force, leaving behind charred, fist-sized craters on the bark.

Haruki looked at the scorched holes and nodded with satisfaction.

"Just as I thought. After leveling up Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu to Lv4, both its flexibility and power have increased significantly."

Back when it was at Lv3, he had to spit the fireballs out one by one. While he could do it fast, there were still small gaps between each shot—just enough for enemies to dodge.

But now, with the jutsu at Lv4, he had begun to grasp both shape and nature transformation of fire chakra.

Shape transformation allowed him to expel the fire chakra in one burst, then split and mold it mid-air, ultimately controlling all the fireballs simultaneously to attack from multiple directions.

The faster he could shorten the time it took for fire to condense and form, the less chance the enemy had to evade.

All he needed was to keep grinding the skill to increase its proficiency.

Nature transformation improved the fireballs' raw damage. Previously, they could only create widespread scorch marks—but the impact itself was mild.

Now, even though the fireballs created smaller craters, each one contained far more heat and explosive energy, making them far more lethal in actual combat.

This single technique alone marked a clear boost in his combat ability.

And it wasn't the only one. Over the past month, several of Haruki's other skills had improved greatly.

"Menu."

With a mental command, Haruki summoned his proficiency panel.

A familiar blue screen floated before his eyes:

Basic Three Techniques: Lv3 (0/0)

As shown, besides upgrading Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu, Haruki had also leveled up his Healing Technique to Lv2, giving him stronger recovery power.

In addition, skills like Body Flicker, Shackling Stakes, Sharingan Genjutsu, and his swordsmanship styles had all made significant progress.

Especially Body Flicker and Sharingan Genjutsu—one was now at Lv3 (870/1000), the other at Lv2 (420/500)—just a step away from the next level.

Unfortunately, he'd soon be returning to the Land of Rain battlefield.

Otherwise, he could've leveled up even more.

Shaking his head in mild regret, Haruki's gaze drifted to his sword techniques. Both had seen improvement from daily practice but still hadn't leveled up yet.

Which meant he couldn't yet accelerate the evolution of his Sharingan.

Speaking of which, Haruki looked at the bloodline section:

Sharingan – Two Tomoe: 354/5000.

At this rate, it'd take him another fifteen months to reach Three Tomoe.

That was absolutely unacceptable.

Thankfully, he had now learned the Chakra Absorption Technique.

Once back on the battlefield, he could drain chakra from enemies to boost his reserves.

Then, by pouring that chakra into his Mind Reflection Technique training, he could speed up the Sharingan's evolution.

Not to mention, both his sword styles were close to leveling up. Once they did, his Physique stat would increase, granting him more daily chakra—which again meant faster Sharingan growth.

Sadly, his Mind Reflection and Chakra Refining techniques still had a long way to go before leveling again. If they did, his speed would jump even more.

"No point being greedy. Let's take it one step at a time."

Muttering to himself, Haruki closed the panel and resumed training Phoenix Sage Fire along with a few other ninjutsu and genjutsu.

The sun eventually sank below the horizon. Only then did he return home.

After a quick meal to fill his belly, he resumed his nightly routine of training.

This had been his rhythm for the past month.

Other than eating, sleeping, and the occasional break, he trained non-stop.

During the day, he practiced ninjutsu, genjutsu, and swordsmanship at the training ground. At night, he stayed home and focused on Sharingan evolution, while also storing up chakra for the next day's grind.

It was a monotonous but deeply fulfilling life.

Hours slipped by.

Midnight arrived.

In the training room, Haruki opened his eyes and let out a quiet yawn. He pulled up the panel again to check his current chakra:

9106 points.

His body had reached its limit.

So he stopped using Chakra Refining, splashed cold water on his face, and returned to his bedroom.

Within seconds, the soft sound of breathing filled the room—Haruki had fallen asleep.

The next morning.

Just before dawn.

After a quick breakfast, Haruki made his way to the square outside the Hokage building.

From afar, he spotted Uchiha Shisui.

Over the past month, he'd seen Shisui a few times at the training field. They'd even sparred a few times with swords. While they weren't exactly close, they weren't strangers either.

Haruki had taken a liking to Shisui's personality.

A bit idealistic at times, sure—but at least he didn't turn out like Uchiha Itachi, who eventually went to extremes.

Of course, maybe Itachi had only turned extreme after watching Shisui die in front of him…

Either way, Haruki would never approve of slaughtering the entire clan.

Since he now lived in this world and carried the name Uchiha Haruki, he'd make sure such a tragedy never happened again.

As for Itachi?

If the kid acted out in the future, Haruki would just beat some sense into him.

And if he still wasn't strong enough to do that?

Then he deserved to get taken out.

These thoughts flashed through his mind as Haruki stepped into the crowd.

They were all preparing to depart—headed once more to the battlefield in the Land of Rain.
