Naruto: My Sign In System Is Too Overpowered

Chapter 10: C9: Team Assignments

"U-Uh… Is this really okay, Naruto-kun…?"

Hinata's voice was barely above a whisper. Her face was flushed, her hands nervously gripping the hem of her jacket.

She never expected Naruto to go out of his way to include her. Her heart felt warm, and her feelings for him deepened even more.

Naruto grinned. "Of course it's okay! Come on, Hinata."

Without hesitation, he reached out and took her hand.

Hinata's eyes widened. Her body stiffened.

"Na-Naruto-kun… y-you…"

She was completely at a loss, her heartbeat thundering in her ears. His grip was firm but warm. The boy she had admired for years was holding her hand.

Shyness. Nervousness. But also… a deep, undeniable happiness.

Naruto, completely unaware of her flustered state, led her out of the woods toward the training ground.

Once they arrived, he finally let go, turning to her with a bright smile.

"Hinata, the Hyuga Clan specializes in the Gentle Fist, right? So your training should focus on Taijutsu."

Hinata gulped, still overwhelmed by the closeness. "Y-Yes! The Hyuga Clan mainly trains in Taijutsu and Gentle Fist techniques…"

Naruto nodded. "Then let's practice together."

Hinata lowered her head. "O-Okay… but… I-I might slow you down…"

Naruto just laughed. "Don't worry about that!"

And with that, their training began.

Meanwhile, at the Hokage's Office

Sarutobi Hiruzen sat behind his desk, smoking his pipe, deep in thought.

The morning had barely started, and already, troubling news had reached him.

"Naruto attacked a villager and destroyed a shop."

The report made him frown. Naruto had never been this reckless before. He had always endured mistreatment without fighting back.

The Tiger-Masked ANBU, Ryosuke, knelt before him. His tone was serious.

"It's true, Lord Third. Naruto seems… different. His temper is shorter. He doesn't back down anymore."

Hiruzen exhaled, releasing a puff of smoke. "And the shop owner?"

"He's on his way here now. He wants justice."

The Third Hokage sighed. "Naruto is growing stronger. That means he's also growing more defiant… but that isn't necessarily a bad thing."

His mind drifted back to what he had recently learned—Naruto had mastered the Flying Thunder God and even begun training in the Eight Gates.

There were very few shinobi in Konoha who could use these techniques.

Hiruzen knew what this meant.

Naruto's potential was limitless.

And if Naruto became a true powerhouse, then the village needed him on their side.

Did it really matter if he roughed up some civilians?

Knock, knock.

A voice came from outside.

"Lord Hokage, a villager is here regarding Naruto's actions."

Hiruzen waved his hand dismissively. "I've already decided. Compensate him—medical expenses and triple the value of his stall. Then send him away."

He exhaled again, watching the smoke curl in the air.

Naruto…

This boy might cause trouble for Konoha.

But he might also become its strongest weapon.

At the Training Ground

The morning sun climbed higher.

Naruto and Hinata had been sparring for over an hour.

Both of them were drenched in sweat, breathing heavily.

Pop!

A sharp palm strike met Naruto's counter, and they both stepped back.

Naruto grinned. "That's enough for today. It's almost time to head to the Academy."

Hinata, face flushed from both exertion and embarrassment, nodded. "Y-Yes… Naruto-kun…"

Her hands clenched into tiny fists at her sides. She was exhausted—but she was happy.

For the first time, she wasn't just watching Naruto from afar.

She was training beside him.

Naruto stretched his arms behind his head. "Hey, Hinata."

She perked up. "Y-Yes?"

"Will you come train with me again tomorrow?"

Hinata froze.

She never thought Naruto would ask her that.

She hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "O-Okay! I-I'd love to…"

Naruto chuckled at her shyness. "Great! Let's get stronger together."

And just like that, they walked toward the Academy side by side.

Hinata couldn't stop smiling.

At the Academy – Team Assignments

The classroom was filled with chatter as students trickled in.

Naruto and Hinata took their seats, and soon, the rest of the class arrived.

As the bell rang, Iruka walked in, holding a clipboard.

He smiled warmly at the students.

"Congratulations to all of you for graduating. Today, you'll be assigned to your teams."

The classroom immediately quieted.

Iruka continued, "Each team will consist of three genin, and you'll be assigned a jonin instructor who will guide you in real missions."

Naruto sat up straighter.

This was it.

This was the moment where he would find out who his teammates were.
