In this mission, there were ninjas from the Yamanaka clan among the reinforcements who had come to Kikyō City. The Yamanaka clan possessed a secret technique that could extract residual information from the brains of the deceased enemies. This was why Hyuga Mirai had brought all the dead Sand Ninja's bodies back in sealing scrolls. Thanks to his position and accomplishments in Konoha Hospital, he had received numerous benefits, one of which was the sealing scroll.

In fact, Hyuga Mirai had already learned how to create sealing scrolls, but the raw materials weren't cheap. Since Konoha Hospital provided them for him, he had never felt the need to make them on his own. 

"This time, we should be able to extract some useful information from their brains," Hyuga Mirai said during a break, speaking to Hyuga Kiyo and Kurenai Yuhi. "Out of the three teams, there are seven Chunin. They must have been assigned a mission from Sunagakure and were heading towards Bōshazan Town."

The mission had gone quite smoothly, and despite the time spent traveling, it could almost be considered a great success. Chunin were regarded as the backbone of any ninja village, and even in Konoha, where there were many elite ninjas from different clans, the number of Jonin barely exceeded a hundred. Sunagakure had even fewer Jonin, and at this time, other villages could not compete with Konoha militarily. 

In this operation, Hyuga Mirai's squad had successfully taken down seven Chunin. Even if Sunagakure learned of the loss, they would feel the pain.

"I didn't expect it to be this easy to take down the three teams. As expected, working with the squad leader makes missions so much more enjoyable~" Kurenai said with a smile, her gem-like eyes narrowing into crescents.

'I still need to find a profitable business opportunity...' he thought. Cloning was something he definitely wanted to pursue, and once he succeeded, with a modified appearance and a new identity, Hyuga Mirai would have a different standing in the ninja world. 

Even someone as ignorant as Gato could control a small country and make massive wealth. There was no reason why Hyuga Mirai couldn't do the same.

This war was an opportunity. Hyuga Mirai planned to make a profit from the conflict and use it as initial capital.

"Kiyo, Yuhi, let's head back quickly," Hyuga Mirai called out. Although they had already left the Land of Wind, they were still in the Land of Rivers, so it wasn't completely safe. They also didn't have much time left before the mission's deadline, so they had to hurry to get the intelligence from the Sand Ninja back to their camp.

During a break in their journey, Hyuga Mirai released the Sand Ninja's bodies from the sealing scrolls. Sand Ninja were famous for their puppet manipulation techniques, but since they were from one of the Five Great Nations, bounty hunters rarely targeted them. This made their puppets especially sought after in the black market. A single puppet with a manipulation method could fetch hundreds of thousands of ryo!

As for how to use the puppets, Hyuga Mirai wasn't worried. Although his main expertise was in biological genetics, he had also dabbled in mechanics. He was confident that he could come up with a basic manipulation technique, and then sell it. While it wouldn't compare to the professional techniques, it should be enough to fool some novices.

The trio continued their journey with great caution. On their way back, they didn't encounter any enemies, as the route Hyuga Mirai had chosen was very remote. The Land of Rain was not involved in the war, and this route was barely patrolled by ninjas.

Once they were near Kikyō City, they showed their mission credentials and identification, after which they were escorted by Konoha ninjas back to the city. 

"Jonin Baiyun, we ambushed three Sand Ninja teams heading to Bōshazan Town and brought back their bodies. If we let the Yamanaka clan's ninjas examine them, we might get some important information," Hyuga Mirai reported the results of the mission.

Baiyun Tsuya took the matter seriously immediately.

"You ambushed three Sand Ninja teams? And brought back their bodies?" he asked, his tone serious.

Hyuga Mirai nodded. "Yes, seven of them were Chunin," he explained as he handed over two sealing scrolls containing the bodies.

Baiyun Tsuya didn't think anyone would joke with him during wartime. And seven Chunin? That was already an A-rank mission, as per mission classification.

"Follow me. We'll report this to Lord Orochimaru," Baiyun Tsuya said, leading them to the war room in Kikyō City.

Inside the room, there were Orochimaru and four other Jonin. Aside from Nara Shikaku, whose pineapple hairstyle Hyuga Mirai recognized, he didn't know the others.

After Hyuga Mirai detailed the mission, everyone in the room, except for Orochimaru, looked at him with surprise. For just three people to ambush the backline of Bōshazan Town was incredibly daring. Even with the Byakugan's ability to scout out enemies, their behavior was bold, to say the least. Furthermore, one of the squad members was from the Hyuga Main House. If something had happened to him, the most strategically important bloodline in Konoha would have been exposed.

"Hyuga Mirai, this time you…" 

"You did well. If we can extract useful information from the bodies, I'll consider this an A-rank mission for your squad," Orochimaru's raspy voice interrupted Nara Shikaku's attempt to lecture.

Orochimaru, who had sparred with Hyuga Mirai a few times, knew better than anyone else. A medical ninja who was weak in Taijutsu? The fools in Konoha should learn from the intelligence department. If not for the location of their sparring being too close to Konoha, Orochimaru believed he could have used his forbidden techniques and large-scale attacks to win without difficulty.
