Chapter 112: Experimenting
"I don't need the Eight-Tails to crush you! I can beat you by myself!" roared Buru as one of his colossal octopus tails lunged at Chen.
Swoosh!
Chen frowned. "Do you really think you can take me on? Pathetic," he murmured, sliding to the side lazily, dodging the tail with elegance. Then, without warning, he launched a kick that sliced through the air like lightning.
Bam!
Buru's red chakra cloak shattered abruptly from the impact, like glass breaking, sending him flying through the air, his body writhing in pain, a muffled scream escaping his lips.
The blow almost killed him.
"Buru! You're a fool! You can't beat him! Let me take over!" roared Gyūki urgently.
If Buru died, he would perish too. There was no time for pride or stubbornness. He had to act now.
Buru hesitated for a moment as his pride tried to hold on to control. Finally, his expression turned to resignation, and he nodded. "Take control!" he shouted, giving his body to the Eight-Tails. His body expanded, covered in beastly chakra as he transformed into an enormous, strange bull-octopus.
"The Eight-Tails is out! Maybe... maybe we have a chance," A panted as he carried his father on his back. His breathing was heavy, but his gaze was resolute.
With determination, he moved away quickly, leading the Cloud ninjas to a safe distance where they could observe.
Chen let out a confident laugh. "Eight-Tails? Ha! The strongest Bijū after the Nine-Tails? I'm not impressed in the least." His eyes gleamed with interest. "As a show of my respect, let me show you what true terror means!"
"Tenseigan Chakra Mode!"
As soon as the words left his lips, the world was plunged into absolute silence. Even the wind seemed to stop, as if time itself had held its breath.
A's eyes widened as he watched darkness emerge from Chen's chest, flowing like an endless torrent.
A mantle of pure darkness enveloped him. It was dense, opaque, absorbing the light around it. His arms, torso, and legs were covered in seconds, as if the void of space had swallowed him whole.
The darkness began to change.
Flashes of light started twinkling on the surface of the mantle, like stars being born in the vastness of the cosmos. Vibrant purple nebulae spread across the mantle, swirling as if the universe itself was contained within his body.
The cosmic colors swirled and mixed, and twelve spheres of purple light floated around him, radiating a power that crushed the hearts of those watching.
The chakra pressure was so overwhelming that the very air trembled, forming visible waves that distorted the surroundings.
BOOM!
Nearby rocks began to crack and then exploded into pieces, pulverized under the intensity of the power.
"What... what are you...?" Gyūki murmured, his eyes wide, filled with terror. This child... this child was like the gods! A power that only the Ōtsutsuki could have reached.
Though Tailed Beasts were proud, they were not foolish. Gyūki knew this was not an ordinary enemy. He was facing something far beyond his comprehension.
"Eight-Tails, I hope you're ready for your end," Chen said with a calm voice, but filled with malice that cut through the air. A twisted smile appeared on his face, hidden beneath the mantle of darkness.
Swish!
In the blink of an eye, he disappeared. The space seemed to twist as he reappeared next to the Eight-Tails, his fist ready. "Prepare yourself!"
BAM!
With a deafening crash, the punch sent the Eight-Tails from the border between the Land of Rice Fields and the Land of Fire all the way to the seashore. The ground trembled, and a massive crater formed under the impact. The force of the blow was so overwhelming that Gyūki was severely injured, his chakra overflowing, and half of his body destroyed.
Watching the devastation with a satisfied smile, Chen muttered, "I didn't expect this power to be so... overwhelming. And that was just a simple punch," he said, clicking his tongue with disdain. "It seems it's not even worth using this technique against you."
A purple sphere appeared in his hand. "Don't worry, Eight-Tails... I'll finish you off properly." Without another word, he disappeared again, crossing kilometers in the blink of an eye, and appeared next to the dying bull.
Gyūki gasped, feeling death approaching. Without mercy, Chen began extracting his chakra.
When he finished extracting the chakra, the Eight-Tails was on the brink of dissolution, unable to return to his Jinchūriki's body. His eyes looked at Chen, filled with pain and resignation.
"Eight-Tails, you're a strong beast, and for that... I'll give you an honorable death," Chen said with false respect.
"Reincarnation Wheel Explosion!"
One of the purple spheres floating around him flew into his hand, transforming into a sword of purple chakra light.
Raising the sword, in one fluid motion, he swung it toward the Eight-Tails.
Slash!
The sword sliced through the atmosphere, even cutting off a small fragment of the moon.
Boom!
As soon as the sword cut the Eight-Tails, his figure began to dissolve, his chakra dispersing into the air like a final sigh.
The Tailed Beast vanished, leaving only emptiness behind.
But that wasn't all. The crucial part was the consequences of the attack. Although Chen had aimed at the sea...
The sea split in two. He could see the ocean floor as the impact of the attack cut several kilometers deep into it. The water began to boil and bubble violently, forming a colossal tsunami. The energy released was so immense that the ocean itself seemed to rebel, raising a wall of water hundreds of meters high, threatening to engulf everything in its path.
Nearby countries, like the Land of Earth and the Land of Lightning, were doomed to face the fury of the tsunami.
Watching the tsunami rise, his eyes gleamed with fascination. "Oh... how many souls will perish for this little display of power. How unfortunate."
He estimated that the tsunami must be at least a few hundred meters high. If that mass of water struck all at once, the destruction would be total, millions of lives would be lost.
"Let's stop it," Chen frowned.
"Silver Reincarnation Wheel Explosion!"
Another purple sphere floating around him was used. With a movement of his hand, the sphere flew over the tsunami, starting to spin at a dizzying speed.
The purple ring generated such an intense gravitational storm that the seawater began to be drawn toward it. Under Chen's control, the tsunami transformed into a gigantic drill of water, spinning continuously.
With another gesture, the purple ring ascended, taking the drill of water into the sky, away from the land and thus saving the nearby countries.
Then, the water exploded from great height, fragmenting and falling as torrential rain over the sea.
"This should be considered as an act of kindness on my part," he murmured with a sarcastic smile. After all, he could have ignored the tsunami; it wouldn't have affected him in the least.
But who was he lying to? He wanted to test abilities he had never used before.
