Chapter 26: Jenzi
After five minutes, Tsunade walked out of the room, leaving only Shinku and Ken inside.
"Ken, I know you hate those kinds of people. But was it really good saying that in front of Lady Tsunade? She did save your life."
Shinku asked.
"I know. That's exactly why I said it. Lady Tsunade is a good person. Even from the perspective of a Ninja, she is still a very good person."
"But that's exactly why I said that to her. Because, in this world of thousands of ninjas, only a handful can make a real impact. She is one of them."
Hearing that, Shinku couldn't help but feel ashamed. He never thought of it like that.
Indeed! This world wasn't controlled by the majority. Instead, it had always been controlled by a minority who possessed a lot of strength.
And, in such a world, having a person who possesses strength and a righteous heart would certainly be a good thing.
Only if that person decided to make good changes for the world, otherwise, it would be no different between having and not having her.
"Alright then, I hope you know what you are doing." Shinku realized being a teacher was much harder when your student was a genius.
If it was Mito or Jenzi, they would've at least listened to him or consulted him before making any decision.
Some people were even influenced by them.
Naruto and Menma were the examples. Naruto was influenced by the third Hokage, Kakashi, and finally, Jiraiya.
Menma wasn't influenced by anyone. Instead, he had his own ideas and his own desires. They were bad, but they were his own.
Ken was different from Menma and Naruto. He was indeed influenced by people, especially those memories.
But at the same time, he knew what kind of person he wanted to become.
"Don't worry, Sensei!" Ken smiled and replied.
Shinku nodded and said.
"Jenzi has woken up. It will still take a week for Mito to wake up. What do you plan to do next?"
Ken didn't think much. He already had the answers.
"I plan to participate in this war with my team, but I also want to act individually. If I participate in them and keep defeating enemies on my own, it will hamper their mentality and growth."
Shinku nodded.
"You are right. Since your team has defeated a Jonin, everyone has been praising the three of you as geniuses. Although some people know that you are the one who defeated the Jonin, most people still think otherwise."
"By acting on your own, you can gain more fame. At the same time, your team can take on tasks based on their strength. I will talk to Lady Tsunade about your placement in this war."
"Thank you, sensei! By the way, let's go and visit Jenzi." Ken said as he thanked Shinku.
"No need to say that. You are my student. I am very proud to be your teacher."
Indeed! Shinku was extremely proud of being his teacher. After all, who wouldn't be proud when their students have closed the gap between them in terms of strength?
"Sensei, is Kurenai alright?" Ken knew his teacher, and Hokage was already at odds, so he wanted to take care of his teacher.
"Don't worry! Nothing will happen to my daughter. She hasn't even graduated. If something does happen, everyone will begin to lose faith in the Hokage." Shinku replied casually.
But deep down, he was indeed worried. After all, the incident of Sakumo proved that there were several ways to deal with a ninja.
And for children like his daughter, having friends was more important than anything else.
Even without Sharingan, Ken was good at reading mood. He understood Shinku's concern and decided to do something about it.
But for, he had other things to do with. At least nobody could openly deal with his daughter.
So, after that, they decided to visit Jenzi.
"Sensei!" When the door opened, Jenzi immediately shouted upon seeing his teacher. He was covered in bandages and was sitting on the ground.
The ground was covered with a large cloth, and there was a mattress beneath him.
"Ken!" Upon seeing the second person, a joyful look appeared on Jenzi's face.
"It seems like you are bored. So, how does it feel surviving at the hands of Jonin?" Ken chuckled and asked while hugging him.
Jenzi's injuries were mostly on his forehead and his back.
"It felt like I reached the hell and managed to come back. It still feels so unreal." Jenzi replied.
"As it should. After all, that was a Jonin. A Jonin who had all the intention to take your life." Shinku nodded and spoke.
"So, what are you going to do next?" Jenzi asked. He wasn't a smart person, but even he knew his limitations.
He wasn't gifted like Sasuke and Naruto. In his eyes, he wasn't gifted like Ken.
"I plan to continue with the team and sole whenever I can. Don't forget, we are a team." Just because he had become stronger doesn't mean Ken would forget his friends.
His serious look made Jenzi smile, but that smile looked a lot better. He lowered his head and looked at his bandaged arms.
"You know, after recovering from those injuries, I feel like I have grown a lot stronger. Not only through experience but also in terms of Chakra and skills."
"But only now, I think I understand where I belong. I am not a genius like you, Ken. You and I have been classmates for so long. Do you think I don't know much about you?"
"Hard work matters, but only when you have enough talent."
Hearing his words, both Shinku and Ken fell silent. They knew this too well.
One had become a Jonin but could never go beyond it. Another had felt that for almost his life.
At this moment, few words escaped Ken's mouth.
"My name is Ito Jenzi. I like good food and hate food that doesn't taste good. I want to be a Jonin."
These words were so similar that they woke up Jenzi. The depression and negative emotions in his heart began to disappear.
Ken slowly raised his hand and smiled.
"So, until you become a Jonin, we will always be a team."
Jenzi saw his smile. It was so infectious. Even though Uchiha wasn't known for his gentle smile, Ken was different.
Jenzi always believed Ken was no different than other Uchiha. He was a proud Uchiha.
At this moment, he truly understood who Ken was. He was still a proud Uchiha, but he was also his best friend.
"Yeah!"
Only one word escaped his mouth as his eyes turned red. He raised his hand and fist-bumped into Ken.
Seeing this, Shinku couldn't help but smile.
"Are you crying?" Ken couldn't help but tease him when he saw those red eyes.
"Who is crying?" Jenzi shouted while wiping his tears with those bandages.
"Alright, alright, anyway, take a lot of rest and after you recover, we will start your training. If you want to keep up with Ken, you will need a lot of training."
Shinku chuckled and spoke.
"Yes, Sensei!" As soon as he heard that, Jenzi nodded with a serious expression.
"What about me?" Ken drastically changed his expression and asked.
"Do you think I can still teach you?" Shinku rolled his eyes and ignored him. Both of them walked out of Jenzi's room as they decided to let him rest.
After Ken walked out, he didn't return to his tent. To be specific, it wasn't a tent. It belonged to his teacher and he was using it rest for a few days.
Now, that he had fully recovered, it was time to test his growth.
Most importantly, it was time to check his system panel and make some improvements.

This was his new panel. His Chakra Reserves had increased from 3.5 to 4 due to the existence of Shukaku.
Although the Shukaku right now existed within a small Magatama-shaped seed.
It seemed like he had become Shukaku's Jinchuriki and he could improve Shukaku by utilizing the points.
But, there was one big problem. There were a lot of things where he could utilize his points.
So, after watching his panel, he couldn't help but take out one scroll from his pocket.
This was the scroll he got from his Sensei.
