Naruto: Reborn With Combat Simulation Space

Chapter 40: Setting Fire

Resting in the wilderness meant limited conditions, and even with Tsunade and her group taking turns on night watch, their sleep was hardly guaranteed.

Fortunately, they weren't ordinary people, they were already Ninja.

Not long ago, Tsunade had even made them do all sorts of strange tasks. They had cleaned public restrooms, cleaned ranches, taken care of livestock, and even dealt with manure—they had experienced it all, and quite a lot of it.

Therefore, Kazuki and the others were already accustomed to even the toughest and most tiring work.

Tsunade's tasks hadn't significantly improved their strength, but they had certainly cultivated their mindset.

Early the next morning, after a quick cleanup and some food, they swiftly headed towards the mission objective. Finally, around noon, they arrived near a valley.

"This is the place. Let's rest up, then deal with the enemies inside." Tsunade said to the three, surveying the valley for a moment.

"This time, you decide how to proceed with the battle."

Kazuki then turned his gaze to Rinka beside him. "I'll trouble you."

Rinka nodded slightly, forming a hand sign.

"Byakugan! Activate!"

The scene inside the valley instantly appeared in her Byakugan.

"There are six Chakra signatures inside. Three of them aren't too strong, two are not weak, and one is very strong."

"Hmm, I'll take on the strongest one. Is it a problem if the remaining five are left to you all?"

Kazuki pulled out the Sword of the Thunder God from his back.

As for tactics, they were useless here. The valley itself was easy to defend and difficult to attack, with only one passage allowing easy entry.

"Can you see any traps?" Kazuki then asked.

Rinka shook her head slightly and said, "While the Byakugan can see many things, many traps are invisible."

"Kazuki, why don't I go? At most, I can use Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu to trigger all the traps." Kushina said, eager to try.

She thought of her role. In terms of strength, she was far inferior to Kazuki, and even Rinka 's strength temporarily surpassed hers. And Rinka also had the Byakugan, giving her an advantage in utility.

This made Kushina quite unwilling, but now it was different. She could use Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu to clear the way.

"No need, I'll do it!"

Kazuki's eyes instantly transformed into the Three-Tomoe Sharingan. He could foresee a large number of traps inside, with Explosive Tags and kunai being the most basic.

He was very confident in his speed, and as long as he was fast enough, those projectiles wouldn't be able to hit him.

If it came down to it, wasn't there still the Flying Thunder God Technique?

His Flying Thunder God Technique was relatively slow to activate, making it unsuitable for battles against stronger opponents, and the distance it could traverse was short.

He couldn't perform like Minato and Obito in their battle, but against ordinary Ninja, it was more than enough.

"Help me check for any flammable areas." Kazuki said to Rinka .

"Many. Their houses are all wooden, but there's a water source inside the valley." Rinka 's voice was a bit low. She was analyzing how to attack.

Kazuki hesitated for a moment, then asked Rinka and Kushina, "How many Explosive Tags do you have?"

"Explosive Tags, huh? Let me see."

Kushina rummaged through her belongings, pulled out a stack of Explosive Tags, and handed them to Kazuki.

Kazuki took the Explosive Tags, then looked at Rinka, who silently pulled out a storage scroll and handed it to Kazuki.

"These are all Explosive Tags."

What kind of teammates had he found?

Look at Kushina's Exploding Tags—at least dozens, maybe even hundreds.

And Rinka even used a storage scroll for her Explosive Tags. You guys are really well-prepared for missions.

He thought about how he couldn't even manage to stock up on some Explosive Tags. If he had so many Explosive Tags in the combat arena, he would have been going on a rampage there long ago.

"Thank you. Wait for me to force them out. You two wait at the valley entrance." Kazuki instructed the two, then glanced at Tsunade.

He didn't ask Tsunade for help. He knew this was Tsunade's test for them.

Kazuki wasn't the type to be timid. Instead, the Uchiha blood within him began to boil.

"Kazuki, be careful." Kushina quickly warned Kazuki.

"Don't worry, it's just a matter of fire."

Kazuki smiled confidently, then his figure flickered and disappeared from their sight.

"Such a fast Body Flicker Technique." Rinka clenched her fists.

She thought she understood Kazuki's strength well enough. But she hadn't even forced Kazuki to use his Body Flicker Technique. The gap between them was simply too vast.

Tsunade, however, folded her arms across her chest and let out a light hum.

"He is hiding a lot of things."

As she spoke, Tsunade frowned slightly.

For some reason, her 'heart' seemed to be growing lately, which made her a bit uncomfortable.

Sometimes, being too big wasn't necessarily a good thing. It was also a bit too much of a hindrance during battle.

Rinka fell silent. Indeed, Kazuki had hidden himself too deeply.

Kazuki didn't choose to directly rush into the valley. Instead, he constantly moved along the valley's edge, setting up various small devices with steel wire on the trees.

After a long time, he took a deep breath and swiftly charged into the valley.

With a burst of speed, he easily entered the valley.

His forceful entry triggered the internal traps. In an instant, countless kunai and shuriken shot towards Kazuki.

A faint lightning glow emanated from Kazuki's body, further increasing his speed, and he effortlessly passed through the concentrated traps.

At the same time, the Sword of the Thunder God in his hand continuously swung, deflecting the projectiles attacking him.

"Who's there?!"

Kazuki's sudden actions quickly alerted everyone inside the valley.

But what greeted them was a massive fireball.

Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!

A fireball about ten meters in diameter attacked them. They all dodged, and because of their evasion, the houses behind them caught fire.

As the houses burned, explosions echoed from the valley's edge.

Trees, now ablaze, rolled into the valley, followed by a tremor of the earth, and countless rocks rolled down into the valley.

Meanwhile, Kazuki swiftly retreated towards the valley exit.
