Konoha, Year 49.

Months had passed since the Nine Tails incident, and in that time, many big and small events had taken place.

With the arrival of a new academic year, Uchiha Itachi, the son of Uchiha Fugaku, head of the Uchiha clan, had enrolled in the Ninja Academy.

Other future shinobi of Konoha were also being born during this period.

The youngest of them was Hyuga Hinata, daughter of Hyuga Hiashi, head of the prestigious Hyuga clan. She had been born in December.

At Hinata's 100-day celebration banquet, Tsunade attended as the Hokage and brought Guts along to offer congratulations.

After all, this child was the first daughter of Konoha's top-tier clan head, and was expected to become the Hyuga clan's future leader.

Looking at the swaddled baby in Lady Hyuga's arms, Guts found it hard to imagine this fluffy little doll growing into the Hinata he remembered.

The one known for her gentle personality and... well, certain physical traits that stuck with many fans.

"Is Lord Guts perhaps interested in Hinata?"

Lady Hyuga asked curiously.

She had noticed Guts staring for quite some time.

"It's nothing. Just curious," Guts replied calmly.

He couldn't help but recall how Hinata, while not a major force in the original timeline, had a quiet strength and warmth that left an impression, especially when she risked her life for Naruto.

"She's just cute. I've never held a baby before," he added with a smile.

Standing nearby, Hyuga Hiashi turned toward them, his Byakugan eyes softening with amusement.

"It seems Lord Guts is fond of her. Why not hold her for a moment?"

"Aha?" Guts raised an eyebrow.

Where did that come from? Did he see the image of the future BIG TITTY Hinata in my head with his Byakugan? No way... right?

Hiashi gave his wife a subtle signal.

Lady Hyuga, being no amateur when it came to her husband's silent cues, smiled and carefully placed baby Hinata into Guts' arms.

"I think Hinata already likes Lord Guts," she said gently.

Caught in the moment, Guts awkwardly adjusted his stance, cradling the infant like someone holding a phone for the first time.

"Huh~"

Whether from discomfort or pleasure, the sleeping Hinata made a soft, contented sound.

Hiashi laughed.

"Haha! See? She clearly likes you."

Then, as if casually, he added,

"Since the Hyuga and Guts both specialize in Taijutsu, how about letting Guts take Hinata as his student?"

The words dropped like a bomb.

The other clan leaders present—Uchiha Fugaku, Nara Shikaku, Akimichi Choza, immediately reacted, their expressions tightening.

Inwardly, many admitted it was a brilliant move. Even if Hinata's talent turned out average, just having Guts as her teacher would be a huge advantage.

Guts' status in Konoha was now towering, not quite at the level of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, but certainly on par with the legendary Madara Uchiha.

The rest of the clan heads suddenly regretted not thinking of this themselves. Akimichi Choza and the others mentally cursed their own hesitation.

Why didn't we approach Guts first with our kids? they thought, watching Hiashi bask in the spotlight.

Among them, Uchiha Fugaku felt the most conflicted.

If anyone deserved to be Guts student, it should be his own son, Itachi.

Itachi was a genius, consistently ranking first since entering the Academy.

But Fugaku couldn't risk it...not with the simmering resentment in the Uchiha clan toward Tsunade and her camp. The elders, in particular, were watching his every move.

Sending his son to be mentored by someone so closely tied to Tsunade could spark a backlash that might threaten his position as clan head.

Meanwhile, Guts remained silent for a few seconds, raising an eyebrow at Hiashi.

Hiashi grew a little nervous.

Most people would respond diplomatically to such a request something like

"Let's wait until the child grows older," or, "I'll think about it."

But Guts was anything but predictable.

For all Hiashi knew, he might just shrug and say,

"Your daughter's talent is too mediocre. Not worth my time."

Then, after ten seconds of silence, Guts broke into a grin, flashing his teeth.

"Sure. Sounds interesting. I'll take her."

Hiashi let out a quiet breath of relief, bowing with gratitude.

It was decided that Hinata would begin training under Guts at the age of three.

In large clans, chakra control training usually started around that age. Kakashi, for example, could already use a C-rank Earth Style jutsu at five.

Three years old, huh... Guts thought. Something happens around that time, doesn't it?

Regardless, the 100-day-old Hinata was now officially his student.

Later That Year

Uchiha Itachi, now less than a year into the Academy, had already begun sending Shadow Clones to attend in his place. He was quickly making a name for himself.

That same year, 10-year-old Uchiha Shisui took the Jōnin Exam, and passed.

He became the second youngest Jōnin in Konoha history, behind only Guts himself.

Nicknamed Body Flicker Shisui and Uchiha's Strongest Illusionist, his growing list of A- and S-rank missions made him a well-known name not just in the Land of Fire but across the entire shinobi world.

By the year's end, Itachi was caught using Shadow Clones to attend class.

Impressed by his performance, the Academy's head instructor recommended him for early graduation.

At just six years old, Itachi joined a team with two older graduates.

The birth of this new Genin shook the village and beyond, marking him as yet another prodigy of the Uchiha clan.
