Terumi Mei certainly couldn't be arranged to live with Guts.

Tsunade gave her VIP-level treatment, arranging a private residence in a quiet corner of Konoha Village.

After all, as the future Fifth Mizukage and a newly-formed ally of Konoha, it wasn't appropriate for her presence to be too public.

As for helping Terumi Mei find and gather her fellow rebels still resisting Yagura's rule in the Land of Water, Tsunade assigned the task to ANBU, led by Namikaze Minato.

Minato, alongside Kakashi, served as a key member of ANBU.

Though already highly renowned, Minato was the most suitable person for this mission. His calm judgment and strength made him indispensable.

Of course, this didn't mean Terumi Mei was just sitting around. She frequently joined ANBU operations, showing her dedication.

Later that night, as Tsunade returned from work, Guts noticed the shift in her mood immediately.

"Something wrong? Bad mood?" he asked, stepping forward.

"No," Tsunade replied curtly, turning her face away.

Of course, the reason was obvious. Guts bringing back someone as stunning as Terumi Mei rubbed her the wrong way, even if there was no real reason to object.

Though Guts didn't always grasp the subtleties of a woman's heart, this one wasn't hard to read. So, as Tsunade was about to speak again, he leaned forward and sealed her lips with his own.

Tsunade gasped, eyes wide with shock, as Guts pressed his lips against hers in a fierce, unexpected kiss.

The intensity left her breathless, her body stiff at first...until that strength overwhelmed her resistance.

She wanted to push him away, to scold him, to remind him that she was still angry … but instead, her hands trembled at her sides.

By the time Guts pulled back, she was gasping softly, her chest rising and falling.

Before she could speak, he grabbed her ass with both hands, his grip rough, the sheer strength of it making her knees weak.

"Hnn..." A soft, involuntary moan escaped her lips.

"Hey...what's going on here!?"

The voice came from the hallway.

Kurenai stood at the entrance, her eyes wide as she caught sight of the two locked in a compromising moment.

The room froze. For a second, no one moved. Then, Guts broke the silence, his voice carrying a thunderous weight.

"Just in time. You both remember my promise, don't you? Now... let's begin."

Before either woman could react, Guts was in front of Kurenai.

He picked her up effortlessly, her eyes wide with surprise, and vanished into the room in a blur of motion.

Tsunade, still stunned by what had just happened, instinctively turned to leave.

But just as she made her first step, Guts reappeared, blocking her path.

"Ha... haha... Guts, I—uh—I've got urgent Hokage duties," she said, keeping her voice serious, even as she slowly backed away.

Guts grinned. "Tsunade, come on. A promise is a promise. What if something bad happens because we didn't go through with it? For your future...no, our future, we need to see this through."

He closed the distance and, like with Kurenai, swept her into his arms and carried her into the room.

Unconsciously, time slipped into the year Konoha marked its 53rd.

Future rising stars like Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura had reached the age of enrollment.

Meanwhile, Hyuga Neji, Tenten, and Rock Lee had already spent a year at the academy.

With peace reigning and no war looming, most students were in no rush to graduate. Another reason? The newer generations weren't quite as strong yet.

"Naruto, behave at school!" Kushina urged cheerfully as she walked her energetic son to the academy.

Up ahead, leading the stoic-faced Sasuke, stood Uchiha Fugaku.

"Ah! Chief Fugaku! Long time no see!" Kushina greeted him.

"Hello, Mrs. Namikaze," Fugaku replied with a polite nod.

At that moment, Naruto and Sasuke crossed eyes.

Within seconds, they both scoffed, turning their heads away in sync.

Why do I already hate this guy? they both thought.

Fugaku ignored the tension and asked, "Minato didn't come himself?"

Kushina scratched her cheek. "He said he's on some confidential mission. Didn't tell me the details, but it sounded big."

"I see. Minato is highly trusted by the Fourth. He's probably being considered for the Fifth Hokage, isn't he?" Fugaku replied, his expression unreadable.

Kushina, oblivious, simply nodded with a laugh. "He does work really hard!"

If Mikoto or Itachi were here, they'd notice it instantly—that flicker of bitterness behind Fugaku's eyes.

The next Hokage would almost certainly be Minato. And after him, if not Guts, then definitely not someone like Fugaku.

With increasing tension within the Uchiha clan and external pressures mounting, Fugaku was nearing a breaking point.

Suddenly, Naruto puffed his chest. "Of course my dad's gonna be Hokage! And when I grow up, I'll be the Sixth!"

"What nonsense! It'll be my father, then my brother, then me!" Sasuke shouted.

"What're you saying, stinky face?! I don't even wanna see you!"

"Disappear, idiot!"

In seconds, fists were flying.

Parents and other freshmen stared as the two boys tangled.

Kushina and Fugaku hurried to break them apart, Kushina bonking Naruto on the head while Fugaku's glare alone made Sasuke stop.

"So lively today, huh?"

A familiar voice broke through the noise. Heads turned immediately.

"Lord Guts!" "Lord Guts! Miss Hinata!"

Villagers bowed respectfully as Guts arrived, carrying five-year-old Hinata in his arms.

Unlike the anime, this Hinata had flowing long hair...a style she started growing two years ago at Guts' suggestion. It framed her delicate face, giving her a serene beauty even at such a young age.

"Guts-sensei, can you let me down?" Hinata mumbled, cheeks flushed.

Guts grinned and set her down.

Then, with a voice loud enough for everyone to hear, he pointed at the feuding boys.

"Hinata, keep an eye on these two. One's got that permanent scowl and probably the type to abandon his wife and kids after running out to buy milk."

Sasuke's eye twitched.

"And the other... stupid" Guts pointed at Naruto, "he's the kind who'll drown himself in work, never come home, and then pretend he's too busy to change diapers."

Hinata's face turned red as a tomato, her gaze diving into the ground like an ostrich.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING STUPID?!" Naruto barked, charging forward.

Sasuke, equally annoyed, narrowed his eyes. "I am not abandoning anyone."

Kushina and Fugaku sighed.

They had long since accepted Guts unpredictable personality. Reasoning with him? Waste of time.

Stand in the way of his fun? You'd get a fist of love for your troubles.
