Early in the morning, Sarada excitedly put on her newly prepared outfit.

Today was the opening ceremony of the Chunin Exams, where shinobi from the five major villages would gather.

The divisions were: Konoha (Leaf), Mizu (Water), Kaminari (Lightning), Kaze (Wind), and Tsuchi (Earth).

All eligible shinobi would come together for a ceremony before the Chunin Exams officially began.

The exams weren't just a one-day event. The final rounds would span five to six days.

Today was only the first day.

Sarada wore her outfit with the Konoha emblem, but without a forehead protector. Nowadays, shinobi forehead protectors only bore the character for "shinobi."

Shinobi with different chakra natures would be assigned to different divisions for specialized training.

For example, Sarada, whose chakra nature was fire, was assigned to the Konoha division.

Boruto, whose primary chakra nature was wind, was assigned to the Wind division.

Of course, while shinobi from different divisions would undergo specialized training and study in the afternoons, mornings would still be spent with their respective teams, either on missions or training together.

Each division had its own leader. For instance, Naruto, as Hokage, led the Konoha division across the shinobi world.

This arrangement was designed to break down barriers between the Kage and to fully integrate the shinobi.

Although, as Hokage, his Fire-Style techniques weren't particularly strong, Konoha wasn't lacking in powerful Fire-Style users.

Sarada went downstairs and glanced at Sasuke's room, noticing that he had just woken up. He pushed open the door, rubbing his eyes.

He was wearing a loose white sleeprobe, the chest slightly open.

His muscular frame, with its perfect lines, made Sarada blush instantly.

"Go... Good morning, Uncle Sasuke!"

Sasuke yawned and nodded in response. "Good morning..."

With that, Sarada quickly fled. Today was an important day the start of the Chunin Exams. She absolutely couldn't let herself be distracted by his charm.

After escaping from her idol, Sarada thought about her interactions with him over the past few days.

He was a strange one, spending most of his time doing nothing, just sitting in the yard daze.

He seemed completely idle, and he never knocked before entering, like a true homebody.

But maybe that was for the best. Her uncle was too handsome, and even she couldn't help but be affected. If her classmates found out about him, she'd never have peace.

"Sarada!"

Someone suddenly called out to her.

She turned to see Chocho, the daughter of Choji and a shinobi of the Akimichi clan.

She and Sarada were close friends.

"Sarada, it's finally starting today the Chunin Exams! I've been waiting so long!"

Sarada nodded. "I'll tell you a secret. I've learned two new techniques! You're all going to be shocked during the exams."

"Oh? New techniques? What are they? What are they?"

Chocho looked curious.

Sarada smiled. "It's a secret..."

"Hey! Sarada, you're so sneaky..."

"What secret?"

Another voice suddenly appeared. Hearing it, Sarada frowned slightly. "Come out, Boruto! You always sneak around like this. Don't you think it's rude?"

"Rude? This is cool, isn't it? Shinobi are supposed to be elusive, right?"

The two girls rolled their eyes.

The protagonist of the new era, Boruto, had arrived. If Sasuke were here, he would have been shocked.

Because!

Boruto had awakened his Byakugan both eyes.

This was utterly unbelievable. In the original story, Boruto didn't have the Byakugan.

What he had was the Jōgan.

But now, Boruto had awakened the Byakugan.

"We'll see!"

Sarada tossed her hair and walked away, leaving Boruto standing there feeling somewhat helpless.

He had awakened his eyes, and she didn't even seem fazed.

"By the way, Sarada, did your dad teach you your new techniques?"

Chocho asked.

Sarada shook her head. "No! My uncle taught me."

Uncle?

Chocho was stunned. "Your dad has another brother?"

Sarada nodded. "Yes."

"Wow! Is he strong?"

Strong?

He claimed that no one in Konoha was his match.

But Sarada thought he was just boasting. "He's alright, I guess. Anyway, the techniques he knows are really strong, and now I've learned them."

"I'm so jealous, Sarada! My dad only teaches me... not-so-cool techniques."

If Choji heard someone describing the Akimichi clan's techniques as "cool" or "not cool," he'd be speechless.

As the Chunin Exams began, Sasuke finally stepped out of the house.

Today, he could go see some old friends.

After all, the Otsutsuki would be arriving soon.

While he still had some time, it would be good to visit these "old" friends.

The first person he wanted to see was Hyuga Neji.

After talking with Itachi about the current state of the former Konoha 12, Sasuke headed to a very special place in Konoha.
