The training had ended at dawn, and Itachi and I were exhausted.

I had managed to push him to his limits a few times, thanks to my constant level-ups during training, which allowed me to recover my stamina and HP.

Gasping for breath and sitting on the ground, I turned to Itachi to ask him a few things.

"What's the next step? Now that we know each other's tactics and abilities, it'll be easier to follow whatever Shisui is planning."

"The next step is to rest. Shisui expects us to meet him here again tonight so he can explain how we'll proceed," Itachi replied, getting up and approaching me.

He extended his hand to help me up and continued.

"You know, I was ready to act on my own to put an end to all this. I should thank you for being so persistent."

I stared at him for a few seconds, absorbing what he had just said and remembering how that conflict had ended in the anime.

I took a deep breath, realizing that things had changed — even if they were still far from over—and stood up with Itachi's help.

"Then let's meet here tonight and try to solve this as quickly as possible. Time is running out, isn't it?"

Itachi nodded and prepared to leave. I remained on the training ground for a few more minutes, thinking about how I could change the future of the Uchiha clan massacre.

Now, it wasn't just about ego or nostalgia. I had grown close to people over the last few days.

Renji. Itachi. Shisui. They had all become important to me, and I was going to make sure they all survived.

Once I had recovered, I headed home.

When I arrived, still early, I saw my mother coming down the stairs to prepare breakfast. When she saw the state of my clothes and some burnt tufts of hair, she froze.

"R-Riku?!?! What happened to you?!" she cried. Recovering quickly, she ran toward me for a closer look.

'Damn. I should've come back through the window…' I thought, searching for words to avoid more questions.

"Oh, this? I just woke up early to train with a friend. We got a little carried away, and, well... you can see the result," I said, scratching the back of my neck.

It looked like she was about to scold me, but she changed her mind at the last second.

"Go take a shower and change your clothes. And take it easy with the training."

Relieved that she let it go so quickly, I ran straight to my room.

Upon entering, I saw the mess still there, with roots scattered all over the floor. I made hand seals to retract them once again.

I did everything I needed to do that morning and ended up falling asleep.

When I woke up, it was already past noon, so I ate something and decided to visit the Ancestral Tree once more.

'The voice that pulled me out of the genjutsu was different from the one I heard when I first touched the tree. I need to understand what's really happening,' I thought as I got closer to the secret place.

I followed the same path as last time and arrived without much trouble.

As I approached the tree, I could feel my connection with it growing again. But this time, nothing happened when I touched it.

So, I decided to meditate, just like I had the night before.

I sat facing the tree, closed my eyes, and began to feel the environment around me.

Everything was calm.

My connection with nature was improving — I could sense the animals around the park, the plants drawing energy from the sun, and my chakra spreading across the ground.

The Ancestral Tree in front of me began emanating chakra as well, so I tried to make direct contact with it.

When we connected, I instinctively opened my eyes.

My breathing felt lighter, and for a moment, all worries vanished.

"You're on the right track, Riku," said the same voice I had heard inside the genjutsu.

I turned around, looking for who had said that, and then I saw Hashirama Senju in front of me. He had a smile on his face.

"You were the one who got me out of the genjutsu. How? You were supposed to be dead," I said, confused by the scene.

I couldn't explain what was happening or how I was managing to stay calm.

It felt like all my emotions were sealed away.

"I'm dead! Hahaha," Hashirama laughed.

"That's just a fragment of my consciousness that remained in Konoha. Some of my chakra flows throughout the village, and after you connected with the Ancestral Tree, part of it flows through you as well," he continued.

"So that's why you were able to pull me out of the genjutsu..." I commented.

"Yes! But that also means that your connection to nature's chakra is stronger now, so you may soon be able to use senjutsu."

"That would be amazing... I'm trying to stop a civil war — or worse, a massacre," I said, hoping to receive some advice.

"Hmm, yes, I know about that. Fighting would be the easy way out — subjugating them and stopping the conflict by force. But that's not what should be done.

Trying to end this the same way you started the conflict would only bring more problems in the future... If you want my advice, follow the Will of Fire," he continued.

'Will of Fire.' I smiled.

"I figured you might say something like that. Thanks, that helps a lot."

Before I could say anything else, I opened my eyes again. Once more, I was sitting in front of the Ancestral Tree.

"Visions. Genjutsu. This will always confuse me," I said as I got up.

As I walked away, I started thinking about plans and strategies that might help resolve the conflict and stop it from unfolding.

Time passed, and before I knew it, it was night, and the time to meet the Uchiha had finally arrived.

I made my way to the abandoned temple, careful not to be followed, and soon I stood in front of it.

When I entered, the other three were already there, waiting for me.

"Okay, now that everyone is here, we can begin," said Shisui.

"The clan is planning a coup to seize power in Konoha, but that would likely spark a new ninja war and cost thousands of innocent lives. We can't let that happen. My idea is to use my genjutsu, the Kotoamatsukami, to control the minds of the Uchiha clan leaders and prevent the conflict," he continued.

Renji and Itachi were surprised by Shisui's idea. It seemed solid in theory, but I already knew where it would lead.

"That's just a temporary fix, isn't it?" I asked.

"What are you talking about, Riku? If he can do that, the conflict will be over," Renji said, his voice rising slightly.

"There are some problems with that, Renji. You were exiled from Konoha, and it's not just the Uchiha leaders who are angry — it's the entire clan. So even if Fugaku gives up on the idea, there's still a high chance others might act on their own," I said.

"And there's another problem..."

Renji stepped back and paused to consider what I was saying. Itachi remained silent, and Shisui, hand on his chin, asked:

"What is it...?"

"Danzō Shimura. Isn't that right, Itachi?" I said, staring at Itachi, who looked surprised.

Renji and Shisui were confused, their eyes turning to Itachi for answers.
