Except for Kazuki, no one else spoke.

However, judging from their expressions, everyone was furious. Even Itachi, who could usually control his emotions, was glaring angrily at Danzo through gritted teeth.

If this matter wasn't resolved properly, the Uchiha clan absolutely wouldn't let it go.

"I will give you all an explanation for this," said Tsunade, the Hokage, offering a guarantee.

If this situation escalated, Konoha would once again become the laughingstock of the ninja world.

And beyond being humiliated, it would destroy the hard-won stability of the Uchiha clan, rendering previous efforts futile.

When hardliners caused trouble before, both Kazuki and Fugaku worked to stabilize the situation.

But Danzo digging out Sharingan from corpses? That was something no Uchiha could tolerate.

Staring at Danzo, who now looked like a monster, the Third Hokage asked with deep sorrow, "Danzo, why?"

He couldn't understand why Danzo had done this.

Why turn himself into something inhuman?

Yes, Danzo had been injured on the battlefield, but was that reason enough to make himself into a monster?

"You don't understand anything!"

"You know nothing!"

The Third Hokage's question seemed to provoke Danzo, who suddenly roared like an enraged beast, his face twisted with fury:

"I don't have the Sarutobi clan's natural chakra affinities, nor do I possess the Kekkei Genkai of other ninja families. Since we were kids, the teacher's attention was always on you and Kagami. Why?!"

"Am I, Shimura Danzo, not as good as you?!"

"After I was injured on the battlefield, my strength would have been severely hindered. And the most unforgivable thing you did, Hiruzen, was stopping the experiments on Wood Release!"

"Your Sharingan..."

Koharu noticed something unusual about Danzo's right eye.

Among the Second Hokage's disciples, the one most valued was the Third Hokage.

But the one who shone brightest was Uchiha Kagami.

Had Kagami not been an Uchiha, the position of the Third Hokage might never have gone to Hiruzen.

Unfortunately for Kagami, being part of the Uchiha clan meant there was no hope of him becoming Hokage.

Koharu herself had harbored youthful dreams and was also captivated by Kagami's brilliance during her younger days.

As fellow students of the Second Hokage, they had trained and grown together, knowing each other better than even family.

And Kagami's Sharingan had a distinctive feature—his right eye had a white spot near the pupil, caused by an old injury.

When Danzo removed the bandages from his right eye, Koharu immediately noticed it.

Though uncertain, given how much time had passed, she couldn't ignore the possibility, even if Kagami had died in battle long ago.

"That's right, it's Uchiha Kagami's Sharingan. Hahaha..."

Danzo burst into maniacal laughter, as though he had lost his mind:

"Koharu, weren't you secretly in love with Kagami back then? Hiruzen could never win your heart. Now that you see this Sharingan, doesn't it pain you?"

What the hell?!

An unexpected scandal just dropped!

"Hahaha! Did you know? Kagami was gravely injured back then, as was I. He entrusted his eye to me, asking me to return it to the Uchiha clan. I remember how heartbroken you were back then."

"Enough!"

Koharu could no longer hold back. Her voice trembled, and even Hiruzen and Homura wore awkward expressions.

Judging from their reactions, it was clear they all had quite the dramatic past.

It seemed like some messy love triangle—or possibly a multi-sided affair—had unfolded among them.

"Danzo."

Koharu's hands trembled as she pointed at him, her eyes brimming with anger.

"Do you have any idea how much Kagami trusted you?

Why would you keep his Sharingan and even transplant it into yourself? How could you betray him like this?"

"Hmph!"

Danzo didn't take Koharu's accusations to heart.

If he had any conscience, he wouldn't have done this in the first place. Kagami's trust meant nothing to him—Shimura Danzo trusted only himself.

"Stop bringing up such things. Back then, if you hadn't been so timid and unwilling to confess your feelings, Kagami wouldn't have married a girl from his own clan."

"You..."

Goodness, this scandal just keeps getting juicier.

Kazuki hadn't expected such a story to emerge among these elders.

What started as a serious confrontation now felt like a chaotic marriage dispute.

"Hiruzen..."

Danzo shifted his gaze away from Koharu.

The Third Hokage cleared his throat awkwardly and stepped forward.

"Danzo, give it up. Abandon these unrealistic ideas. There's still a chance for redemption..."

Before he could finish, Danzo's right arm suddenly split open. Sharp wooden spikes surged forth with chakra, aimed directly at the Third Hokage.

"Lord Third Hokage!"

The attack was so sudden that no one anticipated Danzo would lash out, let alone target the Hokage.

Fortunately, the heavily warded prison cell prevented Danzo's attack from succeeding.

Unless his strength could instantly overwhelm the seals, he couldn't reach anyone outside.

"How is this possible?!"

Danzo was stunned for a moment when his seemingly certain attack failed.

He quickly grew enraged and shouted, "Hiruzen, this was all your doing, wasn't it?"

"It was."

The Third Hokage lowered his head in sorrow.

Aware of Danzo's expertise in seals, he had secretly asked the sealing team to add multiple hidden layers to the cell, ensuring Danzo couldn't escape or act freely.

The same barriers that restricted Danzo's movements now shielded the Hokage from his attacks.

What a pity.

It would have been better to kill him outright.

Kazuki felt a twinge of regret.

Despite knowing the Third Hokage wouldn't die so easily, he had still held out a faint hope—what if?

But clearly, Danzo had been overestimated.

His so-called Wood Release was barely sufficient for landscaping, let alone assassinating the Hokage.

"What a shame."

"..."

Standing beside Kazuki, even Itachi was stunned.

Was their captain actually disappointed that Danzo's attack failed?

Though the incident passed without casualties, Tsunade was thoroughly enraged:

"Summon the sealing team and activate the seals. Apprehend Danzo. I want to see every secret he's hiding."

With the seals in place, capturing Danzo would be easy. Like a bird with broken wings, he was at their mercy.

"Stand back!"

Kazuki gave a direct order, instructing the Uchiha clan members to keep their distance.
