The system's task completion notification confirmed Uchiha Sogetsu's suspicions.

The 'corruption' on the moon came from the "Mother Tree of Desire" controlling the "Chained Pathway," and it was tied to an 'Angel,' Sequence 1—Abomination! 

Moreover, the most important thing was that this 'angel' had gone mad.

It wasn't clear whether it was the nature of the Chained Pathway or the long passage of time, but the 'Abomination' in front of him was not in a good mental state.

It was mad!

A mad 'angel', in some ways, is even more dangerous than a normal one.

Because no one knows what a 'madman' might do.

At this moment, the shell of the "Demonic Statue of the Outer Path" completely shed.

Crack, crack, crack.

Massive and long arms stretched out from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's shell, black and sticky, as though some strange liquid flowed beneath the surface. Inside these liquids, pale skulls, eyes with visible blood vessels, sharp-toothed tongues, and various other strange and bizarre forms emerged.

Having broken free from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's 'restraints', Abomination revealed its true form as a mythical creature before Uchiha Sogetsu.

It resembled a giant rag doll, with eyes as red as blood, its body etched with countless mysterious patterns, wrapped in eerie vines, with grayish-black skin lacking the luster of humanity.

Buzz!

Uchiha Sogetsu's mind was instantly shattered.

It was as if a powerful bomb had been forcibly shoved into his mind, and then exploded with a deafening bang.

In that instant, extreme evil and madness assaulted him. The first glance at 'it' made his spirit nearly spiral out of control, as whispers and screams echoed in his ears. Another surge of intense desire flooded his mind, spreading rapidly in his consciousness.

Looking directly at a Sequence 1 Angel while being a Sequence 4 Beyonder was costly.

At best, his spirit would go berserk and be counteracted by its Beyonder Characteristics. At worst, he would lose control entirely and become a formless, indescribable entity.

Calm!

The spiritual soothing measures that had been set up beforehand quickly stabilized his runaway spirit.

Before coming here, Uchiha Sogetsu had made appropriate preparations in case he faced the "high-tier" Beyonders and their potentially disastrous 'corruption' attacks.

Although they might not be able to fully resist, fortunately, the Beyonders of Spectator Pathway had strong mental and spiritual control, making them highly resistant to "corruption." 

They can also use some prior psychological cue, which allows them to barely control the situation. But it was only just barely.

Meeting the 'Abomination' here was somewhat expected, at least to a certain degree.

In fact, it was almost a "good outcome." After all, facing the 'Sequence 1 Abomination' was probably better than confronting a Great Old One, right?

After stabilizing his spiritual turmoil, Uchiha Sogetsu stopped looking at the 'Abomination,' took a deep breath, and murmured to himself, "Since the mission is complete, there's no need to stay any longer. I'm not in a position to deal with Sequence 1 yet. I'll come back when I've advanced."

The Sequence 1 Abomination's natural 'corruption' was something even Sequence 4 couldn't withstand.

So, it's better to leave while there's still time.

The 'Abomination' was on the moon, after all. He could always come back to deal with it once he reached Sequence 2 or 1.

Suddenly, the 'Abomination' opened its mouth and emitted a sharp screech.

Boom!!!

An invisible sonic wave, like a tsunami, crashed into Uchiha Sogetsu.

He grunted in pain, his mind feeling as if it were being struck by thunder. The powerful shock nearly tore his spirit apart, causing blood to flow from his nose. His body trembled, and he almost fell.

"Tsk, you don't want me to leave, huh?" Uchiha Sogetsu clutched his aching forehead, his eyes bloodshot.

Clearly, the 'Abomination' wasn't ready to let him go.

The 'Abomination' extended a dark, sticky arm, casting a shadow over Sogetsu like a dark cloud.

It wanted to "devour" Sogetsu, to consume his Beyonder Characteristics.

Even though they followed different pathways, the problem was that it had already gone mad. 

A completely insane "angel," driven by the Law of Beyonder Characteristics Convergence, wouldn't care if the one being devoured followed the same pathway or not. It was purely driven by instinct to consume all Beyonder Characteristics.

"If I want to escape, I have to stop it first!"

With that thought, Uchiha Sogetsu no longer hesitated.

After layering multiple mental states, the 'Mythical Creature Form' was immediately activated. It transformed into a giant dragon covered in gray-white scales, with two wings on its back. 

It roared and unleashed a 'mental breath', carrying violent mental piercing forces that directly clashed with the Sequence 1 Abomination.

Without a sound, the mental energy stirred up huge waves, causing ripples in the real world.

The 'Abomination', however, seemed completely unaffected. Its rank was too high, and a Sequence 4 Manipulator couldn't even shake its mind or spirit by a single inch.

Seeing that the attack was useless, Uchiha Sogetsu flapped his wings and stirred up a storm in the sea of his subconscious.

Mental Storm!

The targeted thought turned into a mental storm, expanding outward from him in all directions.

Layer after layer of storm, with violent intensity, slammed into the 'Abomination's' island of consciousness. 

In the Sea of Collective Subconscious, a massive shift in the sky occurred, with lightning and thunder. Under this intense mental assault, the 'Abomination's' spirit was heavily disturbed, pushing it further toward 'losing control.'

So, what would an angel who 'lost control' do?

The answer was simple: the already insane angel, now with added 'loss of control', caused the mysterious patterns carved on the 'Abomination's' body to darken and deepen. 

Evil liquid and strange vines grew wildly, soon covering most of the plaza. Frenzied mutterings echoed in its mind.

It was like blades piercing its spirit, tearing at its sanity.

Mind Walk!

For a brief moment, Uchiha Sogetsu abandoned his physical body, allowing his consciousness to drift through the Sea of Collective Subconscious, avoiding the 'Abomination's' muttering.

Then, Uchiha Sogetsu created a Virtual Persona to endure the 'Abomination's' corruption and then erased it completely. He replaced it with a trick of magic.

"Indeed, an angel of Sequence 1 is not something I can face right now," Uchiha Sogetsu took a deep breath, manipulating his Mythical Creature Form. He flapped his wings, creating a storm and flying toward the misty place above. "The exit is up there!"

However, the 'Abomination' lifted its head, watching Uchiha Sogetsu, who was about to escape. It reached out with its black, sticky arm.

Vroom!

The surrounding spiritual energy began to change.

It seemed to form layers of barriers, trapping Uchiha Sogetsu, who was trying to flee.

Not only that, the "Abomination" let out another sharp scream, filled with a sinister, otherworldly howl. It seemed to pierce the spirit directly, causing Uchiha Sogetsu's mind to go blank. 

His spiritual essence seemed to be tainted with a layer of pitch-black darkness. His movements grew stiffer, his thoughts heavier, and the connection between his body and soul slowly started to fade.

"Heh, you can't escape."

Uchiha Sogetsu's consciousness was slowing down, his eyes becoming more vacant. But in his mind, he felt strangely calm.

He struggled to grip a staff, completely black with a gem embedded at the top, looking at the still-screeching "Abomination." A slight smirk appeared on his lips. "Goodbye, Abomination."

0-62: Staff of the Stars.

From the "Door Pathway," Sequence 2 Planeswalker.

When holding this staff, the user only needs to imagine a specific, real location in their mind, and the Staff of the Stars will transport them directly to that place.

However, it's important to note that the image of the location must be absolutely accurate, with no room for error in the details. Otherwise, the user will be transported to an unknown destination.

"Hidden Leaf Village!"

Uchiha Sogetsu gripped the Staff of the Stars and envisioned the complete, detailed image of the Hidden Leaf Village in his mind.

The "Abomination" seemed to sense the power of the staff, extending a massive, sticky black hand in an attempt to stop him.

However, with a flash of starlight, Uchiha Sogetsu's figure suddenly vanished.
