-------------------------------------------------------------

A light morning breeze swept across the field, dispersing the lingering dust and waking everyone present.

The scene that had just unfolded in a flash of lightning and thunder was too shocking. Everyone on the field was left speechless, their expressions frozen in astonishment.

"Clink!"

A young man with golden hair stood in front of the Konoha group, gripping an unusual kunai tightly, his posture slightly guarded.

His blue eyes were focused and serious as he looked toward the spot where Kakuzu had fallen. In a low voice, he asked the Konoha shinobi behind him.

"Is everyone okay?"

Hearing his words, the group finally snapped out of their daze. Captain Daiku stared at him, suddenly exclaiming in surprise.

"You… you're Lord Jiraiya's disciple, Namikaze Minato, right?"

At this, the Konoha shinobi were all slightly taken aback. Minato nodded lightly, a hint of guilt appearing on his face as he softly said.

"The village's manpower is really stretched thin right now. I'm sorry I arrived a bit late."

Hearing this, the Konoha shinobi let out sighs of relief, marveling at the warmth of the young man who truly lived up to being Jiraiya's disciple. They hurriedly responded.

"No, it's fine. We completely understand. Besides, it's thanks to Nawaki-sama that we've survived until now."

Minato, hearing their words, finally had a moment to observe his surroundings.

His gaze fell on Nawaki, who was standing nearby, his eyes tinged with doubt. Internally, he mused.

Tsunade-senpai's younger brother? Wasn't he with Aizen before? But judging by the current situation, it seems he's fighting against the forces of Las Noches for Konoha's sake.

Nawaki remained silent, offering no explanation.

In the distance, Ulquiorra's green eyes faintly gleamed as he observed Minato's sudden appearance. Internally, he thought.

To appear so abruptly—was it through a space-time jutsu using the kunai?

Casting a glance at Nawaki, who stood alongside the Konoha shinobi, Ulquiorra continued to muse.

Since Lord Aizen's orders have been fulfilled, it's time to retreat.

"Boom!"

At that moment, Kakuzu suddenly leapt out of the ground, his body covered in dust and grime, his expression dark.

His body was encased in countless black threads extending from his joints, resembling swarming jellyfish—grotesque and terrifying.

His pale green eyes fixated on Minato, and in a hoarse voice, he said.

"Kid, you're strong. I've taken a liking to your heart."

Minato's gaze darkened slightly, his expression serious as he watched Kakuzu.

This guy… he's dangerous!

Just then—

"Swish!" "Swish!" "Swish!"

The sound of swift movements broke through the air, emanating from the distant forest.

"Thud!" "Thud!" "Thud!"

Led by Uchiha Fugaku, a group of Uchiha shinobi appeared on the battlefield.

Fugaku stepped forward, his sharp gaze sweeping over the members of Las Noches before settling on Minato. In a calm voice, he said.

"Minato, protecting the village isn't something only you can do. This is also the responsibility of the Konoha Police Force."

Hearing this, Minato's grave expression softened into a gentle smile as he replied.

"That's truly reassuring."

The Konoha shinobi, overhearing their conversation, showed excited expressions and whispered among themselves.

"This is great! The Uchiha clan is here. With them around, we should be able to repel these enemies!"

"Yes, no doubt. With so many of us, we can definitely drive them back!"

Kakuzu's face turned slightly grim as he regarded the elite Uchiha who had arrived. In a deep voice, he muttered.

"The Uchiha clan… Shinobi Asuras, huh?"

As someone who had lived in the same era as the First Hokage, Kakuzu understood the significance of those eyes and the terrifying power the Uchiha had once wielded.

Ulquiorra glanced dispassionately at the Konoha shinobi who had gathered. Casually placing his hands into his pockets, he stood upright and said softly to Kakuzu.

"That's enough, Kakuzu. Let's leave."

Though reluctant, Kakuzu said nothing further. The black threads receded into his body, restoring him to his normal appearance.

The two began walking away toward the shadowy forest, seemingly indifferent to the Konoha shinobi.

As they departed, the Konoha shinobi collectively exhaled in relief. Even Minato's wary gaze relaxed slightly. Nawaki remained expressionless, lost in thought.

But then, Fugaku's cold voice cut through the stillness.

"You two are members of Las Noches, correct? After attacking Konoha, do you really think you can just leave?"

His words stunned everyone on the battlefield. The Konoha shinobi turned pale with fear.

They knew all too well the power of these two enemies. Even Nawaki-sama formidable Wood Release had struggled to threaten them.

Though Minato and Fugaku's arrival had bolstered their confidence, it was only enough to ensure survival—not victory.

As Fugaku's voice faded, the two figures halted.

Minato frowned slightly and spoke softly.

"Fugaku, don't provoke them. They're incredibly strong."

Fugaku hesitated, ready to argue, but the sudden surge of terrifying chakra stopped him in his tracks.

"Crack, crack."

Ulquiorra and Kakuzu slowly turned around, their bodies radiating an overwhelming aura. The violent waves of chakra flattened the surrounding vegetation and trees.

Kakuzu's green eyes gleamed coldly as he stared at the Konoha shinobi, his gaze resting on Fugaku. In a detached voice, he said.

"This one must be Uchiha Shino's brother, correct? He looks like a fool."

Ulquiorra remained calm, his voice icy as he said.

"There's no need to target him. If he gets hurt, it could complicate things with Uchiha Shino. Lord Aizen wouldn't want that."

His emerald gaze flickered with indifference as he added.

"However… giving him a lesson shouldn't be an issue."

Their conversation was loud enough for everyone to hear, leaving the Konoha shinobi and Uchiha clansmen stunned.

The group began whispering anxiously.

"Uchiha Shino, wasn't he known as 'Konoha's Asura'? Isn't he dead?"

"Quiet! Fugaku is the clan leader and Shino's brother. Be careful what you say!"

"Are they telling the truth, or is this just a trick?"

The Uchiha shinobi were equally agitated.

"Could Lord Shino really be alive?"

"That's impossible. He died in Sunagakure, didn't he?"

Meanwhile, Fugaku ignored the commotion behind him, his posture tense as he prepared for the worst.

"Shino, is he really still alive!? If he's alive, why hasn't he returned!?"

Facing Fugaku's relentless questioning, both Kakuzu and Ulquiorra remained completely calm.

Ulquiorra's emerald-green eyes reflected the image of the seemingly angry young man before him. He spoke calmly.

"Your anger at this moment is utterly meaningless. If you have so many questions, you should confront Shino directly and ask for his response. Of course, I don't believe he will have the patience to answer your doubts because your behavior is simply too childish."

Hearing Ulquiorra's words, Fugaku's handsome and pale face displayed a look of anger as he coldly responded.

"Then I'll make you talk and tell me myself!"

Bang!

With a slight sway of his jet-black hair, Fugaku stomped the ground forcefully. His figure suddenly shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow, heading straight for Ulquiorra.

Seeing this, both Minato and the Uchiha clansmen cried out in alarm.

"Stop!"

Standing next to Ulquiorra, Kakuzu lightly shook his head.

Swish!

In an instant, Fugaku's figure appeared before the two of them. His crimson Sharingan trailed a streak of red light in the air as his hands quickly formed seals.

"Fire Release. Dragon Flame Jutsu!"

With a shout, Fugaku inhaled deeply, his chest and abdomen swelling as he prepared to unleash a torrent of flames upon the two.

Kakuzu stood motionless, as if completely indifferent to the situation.

In the next moment, a shadow suddenly appeared in front of Fugaku. Ulquiorra, his face calm, reached out his pale hand like a flash of lightning and tightly grasped Fugaku's throat.

Smack!

Fugaku's next move was abruptly halted. His face turned red as he struggled in pain, staring in disbelief at Ulquiorra, who held him by the neck.

Behind him, the Konoha group and the Uchiha clansmen were equally stunned.

"Let go of Fugaku-sama!"

The Uchiha clansmen immediately rushed toward Ulquiorra in a panic. Minato urgently shouted.

"Everyone, stop!"

But no one heeded his command.

Ulquiorra, his expression unchanged, held Fugaku's throat with a grip so powerful it made Fugaku feel the imminent approach of death.

Pulling Fugaku closer, Ulquiorra's indifferent emerald-green eyes locked with Fugaku's crimson Sharingan.

Fugaku's face turned even redder as he quickly formed hand seals, his eyes suddenly widening.

"Naraku Vision Technique!"

Buzz—

To his shock, nothing happened. Fugaku gasped in disbelief, his voice pained.

"How… How is this possible!? You're… unaffected by the genjutsu!?"

Ulquiorra glanced at him coldly and said calmly.

"It's simply because you're too weak."

As he finished, Ulquiorra cast a fleeting glance at the Uchiha clansmen rushing toward him. Slowly, he lifted Fugaku higher and spoke to him in an indifferent tone.

"Remember this. If you want to understand the truth of this world, the first step is to overcome your own weakness."

"We, the Espada of Las Noches, follow Lord Aizen in ending this era. This is also Uchiha Shino's choice. As for you, you don't even possess the right to make a choice."

"When you gain the strength to stand, come back. For now, stand down!"

As his voice fell, Ulquiorra casually flung Fugaku toward the approaching Uchiha clansmen.

Whoosh!

Fugaku's body shot through the air like a cannonball, crashing into the midst of the Uchiha group, causing a commotion.

"Damn it..." The Uchiha clansmen caught Fugaku and cursed angrily.

But they still charged at Ulquiorra.

Hum!

Ulquiorra calmly raised a single finger, at which a green light began to gather at its tip. In the next moment, a massive green beam shot directly toward the group.

The sheer force of the beam caused everyone's pupils to widen in terror. Faced with the overwhelming power of the light, their faces turned deathly pale.

Boom—

With a deafening explosion, thick smoke and dust filled the area. The battlefield was left in ruins, with trees splintered and a massive crater carved into the ground.

As the dust settled, a colossal wooden figure lay shattered in the center of the area. Its body bore a massive black hole, riddled with cracks.

The two terrifying individuals, however, had vanished.

The survivors, having narrowly escaped death, gulped involuntarily. Their faces, still filled with terror, showed profound relief that they were still alive.
