Naruto Shippuden: The Rise of Armpits Village

After overthinking for a long time, Hinata realized that Kurenai was no longer in her room. Hinata immediately left the room and saw Kurenai walking towards the exit and rushed over to her.

"Wa-Wait.. Kurenai Sensei!" shouted Hinata.

"Hmm..? What's wrong?" asked Kurenai while holding the doorknob.

Hinata stuttered, "U-Uhmm.. I don't think I can wear that outfit..! It's just.. not for me. I don't feel comfortable with it, Kurenai sensei."

Watching Hinata worried, Kurenai smiled and walked to her. She held her shoulder and said,

"You have to calm down for now and take your time picking the right clothes, you know? This could be a fresh start for you, trying something new isn't always bad is it?" said Kurenai.

"B-But Kurenai Sensei.."

"Look, I understand that this is hard for you. You can take your time to adjust yourself with this. Besides, you'll look very pretty on those clothes and trust me, everything will be alright."

Kurenai then gave her a couple more encouraging words to make her feel more confident.

"Ah.. U-Uhmm.. Okay then.. I'll try my best, Kurenai Sensei." said Hinata as she looked down.

"Alright, let me know if you need any help, I'll be there for you." said Kurenai as she grabbed the doorknob and left.

"O-Okay, take care, Kurenai Sensei..!"

After Kurenai had left, Hinata became silent as she still can't accept the reality. She walked back to her room and put the new clothes on and stared at it for a while.

"What am I gonna do with these clothes now..? I have never even imagined I would wear this outfit in public before." said Hinata as she looked anxious and uncomfortable with it.

She looked at her cell phone and wondered what Neji thought about the new rule. She then remembered about Tenten who's currently training with him and suddenly wondered about her.

"I think I should inform Brother Neji about it since Tenten might not know about this new rule yet." thought Hinata.

Hinata picked up her phone and called Neji.

"Uhmm.. Hello, G-Good afternoon, Brother Neji.."

"Good afternoon, Lady Hinata." Neji picked up and greeted her.

"Brother Neji, are you still training with your team?" asked Hinata.

"Oh yes, I'm still at the training field with the others, but we're almost finished for the day. Is there something that you need?" asked Neji.

"U-Uhmm.. No, nothing really.. But uhmm.. I just wanted to inform you about this weird new rule that was announced this morning." said Hinata.

"A new rule? What is it?" asked Neji feeling curious.

"Ye-Yes.. The rule said that all the kunoichis in the village had to wear sleeveless clothing starting today. I don't know why, but they said that it had something to do with the rate of successful missions." Hinata explained to Neji.

Neji who heard Hinata's explanation said, "Huh..!? Really..?"

"What do you think about it, Brother Neji ?"

"Well, honestly it is pretty weird. I'm surprised and confused to hear that, especially thinking about it. I don't get the connection between wearing sleeveless and mission success rates. Anyway, where did you get the news from?" asked Neji.

"Lady Shizune announced it on television after you left. Kurenai sensei also came here to give me several sleeveless outfits and give me advice. I'm just wondering that maybe Tenten still hasn't heard about it." said Hinata as she felt worried about Tenten.

"Hmm.. Okay then, thank you for the information Lady Hinata, I'll inform her now to avoid any problems." Neji replied.

"Okay, See you later, Brother Neji", said Hinata as she hangup.

Neji sighed as he did not like this new rule at all.

"Hmmm.. I wonder who came up with a weird idea like this? Lady Tsunade? She forced every girl to wear sleeveless even if some of the female ninjas are uncomfortable with it? How is that okay?" Neji thought to himself while sitting underneath a lemon tree.

Tenten who was currently talking with Lee saw Neji from a distance. She approached him and asked,

"Hey Neji, why are you all spaced out? Is something the matter?" Tenten asked concerned.

Neji, who was still deep in thought, didn't hear a word that Tenten said. Tenten brought her face closer into Neji's eyes and shouted,

"Hello, are you there, Mr. Genius ?"

"Ah.. sorry, I was just.. thinking about something", said Neji while looking at Tenten.

"Well, it's been a long time and I haven't seen you like this. Not being nosy, but what is it exactly that you're thinking about?" asked Tenten.

"Okay listen, I need to inform you about the new rule that has been implemented today. Every kunoichi in Konoha should wear sleeveless tops from now on, and this rule applies to leaf kunoichis and any other kunoichi staying in the village." Neji said while looking at Tenten.

After hearing Neji's words, Tenten couldn't help but wonder if Neji was pulling a fast one on her, "Huhh? Are you trying to fool me or something ?" said Tenten.

"Noo, I'm not. I'm not sure who made this rule but I'm sure that there are consequences if you disobey it. And the whole reason for it is to allegedly increase the rate of mission success." Neji replied being slightly annoyed.

"Really..? How strange.. Who told you about it anyway ?" Tenten asked.

"Lady Hinata. She called me and said there was news on the television this morning. You know she'll also be affected by this rule right? I don't think there's a reason for her to lie about it." Neji replied as Tenten still didn't seem to believe him.

"Hmmm… Well, I'll only believe it when I see it. See ya tomorrow." said Tenten as she left and said goodbye to Lee and Guy Sensei.

"Ah yeah, take care!", Shouted Guy as he waved at her.

On the way home, Tenten keeps grumbling as she didn't believe what Neji told her.

"I don't believe the things Neji said at all.. Hmmm, maybe he just wanted to see my armpits by doing a prank like that..? I bet he has some weird armpit fetish that he never talks about.. haha." Tenten thought. 

Suddenly Tenten stopped her walking after seeing something unusual on the road. "Wa-Wait.. What's this!? All kunoichis are wearing sleeveless tops!" thought Tenten, surprised with what she saw.

Tenten kept on walking slowly through the village looking around here and there. Tenten's attention was then caught by 2 girls having a conversation about the new rule that Neji told her. After hearing the conversation, Tenten ran to her house quickly.

"NO WAAY!", Shouted Tenten.

After a while, Tenten finally arrived at her home. She rushed into her bedroom and turned on the television to get more information about the news.

"S-So..i-it was true after all..!", Tenten grumbled.

"Seems Lady Tsunade was the one behind this rule. I guess there's no doubt that she made this rule for an important reason! I have no doubts that Lady Tsunade made the right choice!" Tenten said with bias as Tsunade was her role model. She then headed to her closet.

"Oh well.., it's time to get back to my old pink outfit then."

Tenten immediately took off her current top and grabbed her phone, She then opened up the camera and took a pose for a selfie, flaunting her right armpits.

"He, he, he... It's been a while since my underarms were exposed again.."

On the other hand, Hinata was still staring at the clothes that she got from her sensei. She decided to try them out one by one and see if they'll suit her style.

"A-Alright, let's try this one first." Hinata said loudly to herself as she wore the stripped purple sleeveless top.

"I-It's exp-exposing too much!" Hinata stuttered as she saw her reflection on the mirror as she posed with an arms up, trying to smile.

"There's no way I'm wearing this in public!" Hinata said loudly to herself.

Hinata then tried her second outfit and tried a pose with her hands behind her head to tie her hair while trying to smile.

"This one is too tight, I don't think I could move freely wearing this outfit."

After many times trying on other clothes, Hinata still couldn't find the right outfit she felt comfortable in. With a hopeless look on her face, she sat on her bed and took a deep breath.

"Huuuft.."

In the midst of despair, she turned left and saw an outfit she still hasn't touched. It was a blue-purple colored sleeveless shirt. She immediately put on the last outfit and posed again with it in the mirror.

"U-Uhmm.. This one feels.. comfortable.. and does not show skin too much." she said to herself smiling a bit.

Just as she started feeling at ease, an image of Naruto popped into her mind. Her cheeks flushed as she absentmindedly placed one arm behind her head.

"I-Is this alright? I wonder if Naruto-kun would like this outfit…"

She fidgeted slightly, looking at herself from different angles in the mirror.

 She trailed off, covering her face with her hands, feeling embarrassed just thinking about it.

After a moment, she peeked through her fingers, her expression softening.

"Well… I suppose I'll wear it anyway."

With that, she took one final look at herself and nodded, feeling a tiny spark of confidence she hadn't before.
