Naruto: Starting with the Granted Strongest Eye

Chapter 10: Chapter 10 – In the Name of a Genius

The training yard was rough and beaten, its surface pitted and scarred. A huge Six symbol on the wall had been nearly erased by the relentless battles.

Ida Saburō rose to his feet, outwardly untouched, but tears of pain ran beneath his skin, muscles that felt severed. Across from him, the genin who had applied for early graduation slumped under the weight of his dislocated shoulder.

Ida's lips twitched.

"I underestimated you from the start… and now I've been outmatched—twice injured by a kid, no less."

His voice grew cold, steely.

"But—chūnin are beyond genin! We're still stronger!"

He spammed hand seals, shouting, "Clone Technique!"

Three clones sprang into existence—each armed with a kunai—and surged at Tong from different directions.

This was serious.

Tong grimaced in pain.

My shoulder's dislocated—I can't raise my arm or perform seals…

He clenched his jaw, gritted his teeth, and turned to body—taijutsu.

The clones won't have my power. I just have to outmaneuver them.

The clash restarted. Time was winding down—only a minute remained.

Another few moves in, fatigue set in.

His right shoulder was weakened, but his left arm and legs were still functional. With his preemptive prediction, he kept pressure on all three clones.

Ida, meanwhile, was cautious, occasionally throwing shuriken, but trembling as he stood.

Then the system spoke in Tong's head:

"You have comprehended and successfully released a jutsu. You gain one lottery chance!"

Rare and clear as a single bell in silence—it stopped Tong cold.

One clone broke its grip, and Tong used the opening with a swift kick, sending it flying.

He landed by the real Ida, blade pressed at the man's brow—just centimeters away.

"Tong!" Yuantai and Kimura Sai shouted. Tong looked furious for a moment… then slammed his forehead against the blade.

A metallic strike echoed through Arena #6.

All froze. In that pause, the kunai fell from the handle, and Tong collapsed, drained.

Ida, frightened, watched the boy slump.

But dive into the details: Tong, in that instant, had slapped Ida's leg and arm—his Chakra Scalpel slicing tendon and ligament without proper medical techniques.

Ida's eyes widened.

"You just… blocked my blade with your bare forehead?!"

Beads of sweat dotted Tong's face, sliding down his cheek. His eyes opened wide.

He screamed:

"F— k you—!"

…and fainted on the spot.

Afternoon, 2 PM

Danzo's study at Root HQ

Danzo sipped barley tea, incredulous.

"You mean he caught your blade on his bare skin, and it sounded like metal?"

Ida Saburō lay on the floor, being tended by medics—no quick fix was possible.

Jitai gaped. Even Danzo was stunned.

He has Sharingan—but he's just seven. He shouldn't be this powerful.

After hearing Ida's testimony, Danzo was itching to interrogate the kid himself.

He had beaten a competent chūnin using only ninjutsu and taijutsu, and somehow caught a blade with no defense. Unheard of—even with unique bloodline traits.

Why hadn't he activated his Sharingan during Yuantai's earlier test?

Jitai glared and snapped:

"This brat must have hidden something. Spit out everything that just happened!"

Ida inhaled and began recounting the fight. When he mentioned Tong's last words, "F—you!" in a foreign tongue, Danzo paused.

A curse? A strange secret jutsu?

Regardless, he decided to watch Tong closely. There was more hidden treasure there.

At Training Area #6, Konoha

Uchiha Fugaku stood with Itachi and other clan members, alongside Kimura Sai.

Fugaku spoke seriously to his son.

"Itachi, if you had to face a chūnin—could you handle it?"

The clan members murmured. Could this seven-year-old truly be Tong's son? And beat a chūnin without Sharingan?

Itachi thought, then replied:

"If I didn't use Sharingan, I might not be completely confident. But with Sharingan… I can easily surpass a taijutsu-based chūnin."

Fugaku hummed, eyes narrowed in thought.

"Two great fireballs… one Phoenix fire jutsu… plus sustained combat stamina. He collapsed, yes—but with that preceding chakra surge… perhaps it's more than just talent."

He seemed to regret his quickness to judge Tong before.

Hokage's Office, Konoha

Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi gazed at the crystal ball showing Arena #6.

He frowned deeply, likely troubled by a seven-year-old performing at such an astonishing level, and shrouded in secrets.
