Naruto: Starting with Tsunade-san

Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Without Allies

What's going on?

The blonde beauty widened her eyes, patted her cheeks with both hands, and closed her eyes for a moment, seriously doubting whether she was hallucinating from drinking fake alcohol.

However, no matter how hard she slapped her face, the scene in front of her eyes never disappeared.

If her memory wasn't playing tricks on her, the girl in front of her wasn't exactly identical to how she looked as a child, but they were definitely carved from the same mold.

The same mouth, the same eyebrows, the same eyes… even the flat chest that she was ridiculed for back then.

Could this be an illusion?

The blonde beauty shook her head. With her strength and knowledge, she was certain no one in this world could trap her in an illusion without her noticing.

Besides, even if it was an illusion, why was it completely non-aggressive?

In other words, there was only one possibility left: the girl in front of her was real.

"This is so strange..."

The blonde beauty mumbled, completely baffled. Out of sheer curiosity, she slowly approached the girl.

The man lying on the ground, Tōshirō, coughed up a large amount of blood, which splattered onto the ground like crimson flowers.

He forced out a faint smile. "Sorry, it seems… I can't… keep the promise I made to you."

Even though there was so much he wanted to say to her, when he opened his mouth, he found that no words came out.

"Tōshirō!!!"

With a heart-wrenching cry, his eyes gradually turned cloudy, and his eyelids felt as heavy as lead.

The poison spread throughout his body, the icy chill engulfed him, and his vision dimmed more and more, plunging into darkness.

It felt as though he was wandering alone in a pitch-black abyss where he couldn't even see his own hands. This isolating feeling of detachment from the world brought him an unprecedented sense of unease and loneliness.

He wanted to cry but found that his tear glands were frozen and he couldn't.

Drip, drip…

Rain…

Endless raindrops drenched Tōshirō's face.

He looked up at the sky, and droplets fell from the boundless darkness above.

Strangely, the raindrops felt warm.

A faint light began to pierce through the darkness.

"Rain… it's raining…"

With a weak and almost inaudible voice, Tōshirō called out a name and then whispered, "You'll catch a cold…"

Tsunade's sorrowful tears overflowed from her eyes, clinging to her lashes before falling like beads one after another.

"Please… please, don't leave me alone…"

As time ticked by, she felt it moving slower than ever, leaving her completely helpless. Her cries seemed to be the only way to release her emotions.

"Don't give up!"

Suddenly, a strong voice echoed.

At some point, a blonde woman had appeared beside her. She crouched down, placed her interlocked hands over Tōshirō, and released a glowing green light.

"This is…"

Tsunade widened her eyes. This was a medical ninja technique. Although she didn't know the exact details, could it be that this woman was a medical ninja? And not just any medical ninja—one of extraordinary skill.

Tsunade, as if grabbing onto a lifeline, wiped away her tears and spoke with utmost sincerity: "Please, I beg you, save him. I'll do anything you ask."

"Don't worry. There's no one in the world I can't save…"

Hearing this, Tsunade felt a weight lift off her chest.

However, the blonde woman's words didn't last long. She collapsed to the ground with a pained expression. "Urgh…"

"What's wrong?" Tsunade asked, startled.

"I… faint at the sight of blood…"

Tsunade: …

Despite some hiccups, the blonde woman used her exceptional medical skills to bring Tōshirō back from the brink of death. Tsunade had also helped significantly during the process.

The blonde woman gasped for breath. "I can't remember the last time I had such an exhausting surgery."

"Thank you, truly, thank you," Tsunade said, bowing her head repeatedly in gratitude.

"You're welcome," the blonde woman replied with a wave of her hand.

After a moment, she looked at Tsunade with a deep gaze and asked, "By the way, little girl, what's your name?"

Without hesitation, Tsunade answered honestly: "My name is Tsunade."

The blonde woman smiled. "Oh, Tsunade, what a nice na—NANI?!"

Tsunade froze. "What's wrong?"

The blonde woman swallowed hard. "Are you a ninja from Konoha?"

"Yes." Being honest with her savior, Tsunade nodded without hesitation. "I'm a ninja from Konoha."

Upon hearing this, the blonde woman's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. She waved her hand and shouted:

"Impossible.

"This is absolutely impossible.

"You're lying. This must be a dream!!!"

To confirm her suspicions, the blonde woman pinched her own face—hard enough that her face swelled.

Tsunade tilted her head in confusion, completely puzzled by the sight.

This older sister was clearly a brilliant medical ninja, but… her brain didn't seem to be functioning properly.

Pain!

So much pain!

His head throbbed painfully.

Tōshirō, lying in a soft hospital bed, began to regain consciousness. His fingers twitched slightly as he woke up, his head feeling unbearably heavy.

Slowly, he opened his eyes, only to be blinded by the bright fluorescent light above him. After a while, his eyes finally adjusted to the brightness.

Looking around, he realized he was in an unfamiliar, spotless white room. His hands were covered in needle marks, and along the IV tube, he noticed a hanging drip stand.

This didn't look like the afterlife. In fact, it seemed more like a hospital.

Am I not dead?

As he pondered this, a teasing voice drifted into his ears.

"Oh my, kid, you're awake?"

Tōshirō was momentarily stunned and turned toward the voice.

Under the light, a brilliant golden radiance suddenly appeared.

It was long, golden hair parted in the middle.

A faint white glow shimmered on it, accompanying the rhythmic clicking of her high heels as she walked. The shine was almost dazzling.

The woman had perfectly arched eyebrows, a straight nose, almond-shaped eyes, and an oval face. A blue, diamond-shaped mark adorned her forehead, adding a touch of purity to her already stunning beauty.

She wore a tea-green long coat with black edges, a loose, sleeveless kimono-style top underneath, secured at the waist with a black sash, and deep blue capri pants.

With just one glance, Tōshirō was captivated.

It wasn't just her outstanding appearance that caught his attention—Tōshirō was somewhat face-blind and didn't prioritize beauty. What mattered to him was a good figure.

And this woman's figure went beyond "good"—it was explosive.

Her features included narrow shoulders, a full chest, a slim waist, wide hips, and shapely thighs, forming an hourglass, eight-heads-tall figure.

Moreover, she had an astonishingly generous chest that would make any woman jealous.

Tōshirō estimated that even through her clothing, her figure was the type that people invented new words to describe.

It seemed entirely out of proportion to her moderate height.

As he observed her up close, she walked casually, yet every step seemed to blind his vision.

At that moment, Tsunade, who had been lying on Tōshirō, began to stir. She groaned softly, opened her eyes slightly, and, through her hazy vision, saw the figure she'd been longing for. A look of joy appeared on her face as she leaned forward and hugged him tightly.

Feeling the softness and faint fragrance from her embrace, Tōshirō's hands froze mid-air, unsure of how to respond.

Realizing her sudden action might have been too forward, Tsunade blushed and quickly withdrew, lifting her head. Her gaze met Tōshirō's dark eyes.

Their eyes locked, and Tsunade looked like a startled deer.

"Are you okay?"

Her pitiful expression exuded a tender vulnerability that could almost drip with emotion.

This look was rare for Tsunade. Tōshirōcouldn't resist teasing her. He feigned confusion, his gaze blank. "Who are you?"

Tsunade's face turned pale, as if struck by lightning. "Don't scare me! I'm Tsunade!"

The blonde woman nearby perked up at the name, narrowing her eyes with a thoughtful expression.

"Tsunade?"

Tōshirō froze.

"Hey, don't do this! We worked so hard to save you…"

Tsunade's eyes filled with tears, glistening like silver droplets as they fell.

Tōshirō suddenly chuckled. "I'm just messing with you, dummy."

Tsunade blinked, her face darkening like a burnt pan.

"You're so gullible," Tōshirō teased.

"You think this is funny?"

Tsunade gave a forced smile, clenching her fists as though ready to explode. But when Tōshirō quickly apologized, her anger subsided. She lightly pinched his arm as a token punishment.

Tōshirō smiled. "I won't do it again."

"You think you'll get another chance?" Tsunade shot back fiercely.

"Uh…"

Tōshirō decided it was better to stay silent for now.

Feeling triumphant after subduing him, Tsunade smiled proudly. Then she noticed the blonde woman approaching and introduced her. "Oh, right, let me introduce you. This is Rangiku-san. She happened to pass by and kindly saved you. You should thank her properly."

Tōshirō obediently thanked her repeatedly.

The blonde woman looked at them with interest and smiled. "No need to be so formal."

At close range, Tōshirō snuck a glance at her.

Whoa… so big…

Tsunade's sharp eyes caught the lecherous look and frowned in displeasure.

Pinch!

"Ow! What was that for?" Tōshirō asked, confused.

Tsunade turned away with a huff, her expression saying, You know exactly what you did.

"Well, if everything's fine, I'll leave now. I'll be next door if you need anything."

The blonde woman, noticing the playful atmosphere between the two, tactfully left the room, even closing the door behind her to give them privacy. Or so it seemed—she stayed behind, peeking through the door crack like a mischievous eavesdropper.

With the blonde woman gone, the room was left with only Tsunade and Tōshirō. A heavy silence filled the space, making things slightly awkward.

Although they had already confessed their feelings to each other, that was during a special situation. Now, in the calm of the moment, neither knew what to say.

Even Tsunade, usually bold and confident, felt a little shy. She stood up abruptly, trying to escape. "If there's nothing else, I'll head out. I'm tired and want to rest."

She turned and took a step forward, but a hand grabbed her wrist, stopping her in place.

"Stay with me, okay?"
