Naruto: Starting with Tsunade-san

Chapter 135: Chapter 135: The Confession

"Well… I'd like to say so."

Tōshirō changed his mind at the last minute.

Big Tsunade looked confused.

"If someone could predict every detail of their future, life would be so dull. Sure, it sounds cool, but let's be honest—it's kind of dumb."

Feeling tricked, Big Tsunade huffed in annoyance, pretending to be slightly angry. "You little brat."

Tōshirō smirked mischievously. "In a way, I could say we're the same age, you know. Future Tsunade~"

Big Tsunade squinted at him, as if recalling something. A sly smile formed at the corners of her lips, her expression full of mockery. "Come to think of it, from the moment we first met, you've been sneaking glances at my chest, haven't you?"

That threw Tōshirō off balance.

He vehemently denied it, playing the role of an innocent gentleman. But no matter his words, his eyes betrayed him, still stealing glances.

He couldn't help but marvel at the magnificence of those "36D peaks of the king's canyon."

He thought to himself: Now this is the true Will of D.

Some people dare add a "D" to their names and claim to represent the Will of D? Heh, ridiculous.

"Tch, that's a shame. I thought since you're so fond of breasts, I'd let you touch them just once," Big Tsunade teased, her lips curling into a devilish smile. "But since you're denying it, forget it."

"Really?!"

Tōshirō couldn't keep calm anymore.

"Of course not!"

With a sharp retort, Big Tsunade raised her fist and bonked his head.

The next moment, Tōshirō clutched his forehead in pain as a lump began to swell. "That hurts, you know!"

"Seriously, what's on your mind all the time? I have no idea how my past self could've liked you."

Her chest heaved in frustration, revealing her sadistic side.

"No matter when—past or future—Big Tsunade's temper remains the same," Tōshirō sighed dramatically. Then, with a sly smile, he added, "But this feisty attitude is exactly what I love about you."

"Are you some kind of masochist?"

Big Tsunade instinctively leaned back, as if trying to distance herself from a pervert.

Tōshirō: …

Big Tsunade took a deep breath, her gaze serious. "Before I give you a proper answer, there's something I need to say."

"Go ahead."

"For some reason, I have absolutely no memory of you."

Tōshirō's pupils slightly contracted.

Big Tsunade then shared her reasoning about their time-traveling connection.

Listening to her, Tōshirō couldn't help but admire her logic. Even without understanding the concept of parallel timelines, she had pieced things together impressively.

Feigning calmness, he merely let out a nonchalant "Oh."

Big Tsunade was taken aback by his composed reaction. "You're not surprised? After all, there's a chance you don't actually belong in history, but are the result of someone traveling back in time and causing a chain reaction that led to your existence."

Tōshirō smiled faintly. "If we go by your logic, have you ever considered that your own history might also have been altered by someone?"

Big Tsunade's eyes widened in shock.

That's right. If his theory held, wasn't it possible that her history had also been tampered with?

Tōshirō glanced at her and said, "I don't know if your hypothesis is correct, but there's one thing I can be certain of."

Her voice trembled slightly. "What is it…?"

"When I go back, I'll destroy the Dragon Vein and put an end to all of this. Then, using the historical information you've shared, I'll reshape everything."

"That will cause the village—and history—to develop in unpredictable ways," Big Tsunade said, her voice laced with concern.

Tōshirō countered, "Then tell me, what exactly is a 'controlled' direction?"

She was at a loss for words.

He continued, "Do you mean the way you and Orochimaru are now is what you call 'controlled'?"

"… …"

"Sure, I understand the whole 'protect the village' thing. But after seeing the future, how can you expect me to stand idly by? Compared to the village, Tsunade matters far more to me."

Tsunade's face softened, her smile genuine and warm, like that of a newborn baby. After a moment, she stood up, her voice gentle: "Let's go…"

Tōshirō looked puzzled. "Huh? Weren't you going to tell me what happens in the future?"

"We're still missing someone…"

In a room, Big Tsunade returned. Shizune approached her. "Lady Rangiku, you're back…"

Big Tsunade smiled. "How's the training coming along?"

"She's as brilliant as ever, just like you were when you were younger. She picks things up instantly, unlike me," Shizune said, her words full of genuine praise.

Big Tsunade laughed heartily. "As expected of me…"

"Indeed," Shizune replied instinctively before pausing, her eyes widening in realization.

"Shizune, it doesn't matter anymore…"

As if acknowledging Shizune's silent contributions, Big Tsunade gently patted her shoulder with a smile. Then, she walked over to the young Tsunade, who was completely absorbed in her training, and spoke softly, "Tsunade, take a break from what you're doing for now."

Overlapping hands glowed green before fading away.

Young Tsunade exhaled deeply, then raised her face only to be met with an overwhelming softness. Secretly, she felt envious.

"What's wrong?"

She blinked her wide eyes, looking confused.

"I have something to tell you," Big Tsunade said.

"What is it…?"

Big Tsunade got straight to the point. "I'm sorry, but I've been lying to you. My identity is a bit more complicated than you think."

Young Tsunade looked surprised and let out a faint "Ah."

After a moment, she snapped out of it and said casually, "Oh, that? I already knew."

"You knew?"

"Of course! I'm not stupid. You look so much like me, you have Grandma's unique Yin Seal on your forehead, and you're wearing Grandpa's necklace. Considering your appearance… you're actually my future daughter, right?"

Young Tsunade stood on her tiptoes, stretched out her arm, and gently patted Big Tsunade's head with a soft smile, dimples forming at the corners of her lips.

Big Tsunade: …

Tōshirō burst out laughing. "It's about time you told her who you really are."

Big Tsunade sighed helplessly and said, "You've misunderstood. I'm not your future daughter."

"You're not my daughter?"

Young Tsunade tilted her head, confused.

"I'm actually your future…" Big Tsunade paused before continuing in a serious tone, "self."

"What?"

Young Tsunade's mind buzzed, her face blank with disbelief, as if she doubted her ears.

Big Tsunade repeated herself. "You didn't mishear me. I'm your future self."

Young Tsunade wobbled unsteadily, her body swaying from side to side. After a while, she recovered from the shock, clutching her head. "Wait, give me a moment to process this."

She took a deep breath before asking, "Explain this properly to me."

Big Tsunade nodded.

Young Tsunade asked, "Why do you look so young? At this time, shouldn't I be around fifty years old?"

"That's simple." Big Tsunade pointed to her forehead and explained the special uses of the Yin Seal.

Young Tsunade's eyes lit up, marveling at how her future self had developed such an incredible technique. She thought her future self was truly a genius.

But more than her youthful appearance, Young Tsunade was curious about something else. She glanced at her own flat chest, then at the impressive sight before her. Her eyes sparkled with disbelief, as if she were dreaming.

Seeing her dazed, Big Tsunade asked, "What's wrong?"

Snapping back to reality, Young Tsunade couldn't believe what she was seeing. She extended a finger and timidly poked the soft, pale skin. "They're so big… Are they real?"

"This is heaven's blessing," Big Tsunade replied with a frown, displeased by the doubt. She rewarded her younger self with a flick to the forehead.

With a loud thud, Young Tsunade clutched her head, smoke practically rising from it, her eyes misting over.

Tōshirō watched in amusement, finding karma truly satisfying.

Young Tsunade glared at him with wide eyes.

Tōshirō quickly shut his mouth and stepped forward, intertwining his fingers as soft green chakra enveloped his hands.

Young Tsunade's anger dissipated, a slight smile forming at the corners of her lips. "That's more like it."

Big Tsunade and Shizune were both shocked. "You know the Healing Palm Technique?"

Tōshirō scratched his head. "Sort of."

The Healing Palm Technique wasn't something just anyone could learn. Big Tsunade opened her mouth slightly, genuinely impressed. "You're pretty amazing."

Considering the strength he displayed earlier in a 1v2 situation, even she was surprised. She couldn't help but think her past self had chosen a good man.

Young Tsunade, however, decided to bring him back down to earth by recounting Tōshirō's ridiculous past escapades.

Big Tsunade and Shizune listened, dumbfounded. What kind of character is this guy?

Tōshirō smugly ran his hand through his hair. "Hey, I never wanted to be a ninja, but what can I do? My talent wouldn't let me quit."

Big Tsunade: …

Shizune: …

This guy was full of himself.

Young Tsunade asked, "Why did my future self suddenly decide to confess everything?"

Big Tsunade sighed deeply, her tone soft but serious, as she explained everything that had happened to Young Tsunade and Tōshirō.

Young Tsunade was stunned by what she heard, her entire demeanor shifting.

Tōshirō, too, was visibly shocked, his eyes wide in disbelief—though he was clearly putting on an act.

"What nonsense is this? Even if the Uchiha clan was in decline in the future, how could a thirteen-year-old kid wipe them out?"

Big Tsunade let out a heavy sigh and glanced at him. If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, even she would find it hard to believe the Uchiha clan could be annihilated by a thirteen-year-old child. But that child happened to be the strongest genius Konoha had ever seen.

Even with Tōshirō's strength as a twelve- or thirteen-year-old, which had already astonished her, the thought of wiping out the Uchiha clan seemed impossible. A dying camel was still bigger than a horse, after all, and Big Tsunade knew just how powerful the Uchiha were.

As impressive as Tōshirō's strength was, she couldn't imagine the kind of power Uchiha Itachi must have possessed to achieve such a feat.

Big Tsunade wasn't foolish—she simply didn't dare think further about it. It was just too unbelievable.

Tōshirō forced a bitter smile. "Fugaku, you really did have an incredible son."

Young Tsunade clenched her fists and vowed, "I won't let this happen."

Big Tsunade added, "Now that you both know, if one day you return to the past, I hope you'll change everything and prevent the tragedy from happening."
