Naruto: Strength Through Teaching

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Danzo's Obsession

"Night, these are the latest instructions from Danzo-sama." A Root Organization Ninja handed a scroll to Mutsuki.

Mutsuki nodded as he took the scroll; Night was his code name within the Root.

Without much exchange, the Root Organization Ninja swiftly departed after handing the scroll to Mutsuki. Mutsuki was like a hidden piece for the Root, and it wouldn't be good to be discovered by ANBU through too much interaction.

Before the departure of the Root Organization Ninja, Mutsuki performed an appraisal.

[Name: Hirasu]

[Potential: B]

[Chakra: 7000]

[Evaluation: A Jonin with some strength]

Looking at the impressive 7000 Chakra, Mutsuki couldn't help but feel a bit envious; he didn't even have 5000, lagging behind someone like this by five or six years.

Once the Sensory Ninjutsu could no longer detect the Root Organization Ninja, Mutsuki entered the room and opened the scroll to see what latest orders Danzo had issued.

"Uchiha Shisui in your class is a genius of the Uchiha Clan. Monitor his actions, assess his character."

After reading this, Mutsuki couldn't help but feel a bit emotional; Danzo's apprehension towards the Uchiha seemed almost pathological.

Shisui is only six years old this year and has just entered the Academy. Yet, just because he has a bit of a genius reputation within the clan, Danzo wants Mutsuki to keep an eye on and assess him.

Of course, it's not ruled out that Danzo has some plans for Shisui, perhaps wanting to recruit him into the Root.

However, Mutsuki doesn't believe Danzo's plans will come to fruition. Lord Third will make sure Danzo knows who the true Hokage is.

Lord Third can tolerate the existence of the Root Organization but cannot tolerate an excessively powerful Root.

The potential of a genius Uchiha is too high; who knows to what extent he might grow.

So, a genius Uchiha should either stay obediently within the Uchiha Clan or join the ANBU.

After reading, Mutsuki used Fire Release to destroy the scroll.

The new instructions were within Mutsuki's acceptance range. Even if Danzo didn't specifically send someone, Mutsuki would still report Shisui's genius when giving updates. Mutsuki believed that, given Danzo's attention to the Uchiha, hiding the fact would be pointless and would only draw attention to himself.

Mutsuki created a shadow clone to practice Ninjutsu, while his main body began the practice of enhancing Chakra. Currently, Chakra was his biggest weakness. No matter how many Ninjutsu techniques he learned or how proficient he became, without sufficient Chakra, it would be challenging to unleash their full power.

A Ninja with little Chakra, no matter how strong, has limitations. On the other hand, a Ninja with abundant Chakra, even if weak, is not weak to a significant extent. It can be said that Chakra determines the upper and lower limits of a Ninja.

...

The next day.

As there were no classes in the morning, Mutsuki took the opportunity to visit the archive room at the Ninja School. He intended to organize the exam papers from the past few years, and since the process went smoothly, he also took out the papers from the first year.

His main purpose was to take on apprentices, but improving the theoretical scores of both was not a mere fabrication. Mutsuki studied and found that the exam questions each year didn't differ too much. Each question fell into a certain type, with variations in wording or data. Some papers even had identical questions.

Mutsuki nodded, confident about the passing grades for both. He felt that practicing more questions was unnecessary; having them go through the papers from the past two years should be enough for them to pass.

After taking a few papers, Mutsuki left the information room and went to the office.

"Yesterday, she kept listening to me, clearly showing interest in me!"

"Is there a possibility that she simply didn't want to talk to you?"

"Yesterday, when we paid, she insisted on splitting the bill, showing concern for me!"

"Is there a possibility she's afraid you might use the excuse of treating her once to ask her out again?"

As soon as Mutsuki entered the office, he saw Ueda Aya arguing with Chitani Isamu.

Mutsuki glanced at Kimura Sugito, who was watching the drama unfold.

"Yesterday, Isamu went on a blind date. He was just talking about the experience and wanted us to help come up with some ideas to pursue the girl. However, Ueda thinks the girl from the blind date isn't interested in him and advised him to move on to the next one," Kimura Sugito briefly explained the situation.

"Yumi sensei, you came at the right time. Do you have any special techniques for pursuing girls?" Chitani Isamu, upon seeing Mutsuki's arrival, didn't bother arguing with Ueda Aya and quickly asked.

He thought Mutsuki looked like someone who had a lot of girlfriends.

"Special techniques? I think as long as the other person feels your sincerity, that should be enough," Mutsuki thought for a moment and replied.

Whether there were actual techniques or not, Mutsuki wouldn't tell Chitani Isamu. That wasn't the persona he should portray.

"Sincerity..." Chitani Isamu looked puzzled. How exactly could he make the other person feel that?

"Give it up, Chitani. Look at what Yumi sensei looks like. Even if he has useful techniques, they might not work for you," Ueda Aya said with a hint of sarcasm.

"How is that possible? I admit Yumi sensei is indeed a bit more handsome than me, but not that much!" Chitani Isamu retorted, unwilling to concede.

"You really won't give up until you hit a wall, will you?" Ueda Aya looked somewhat frustrated at the stubborn Chitani Isamu.

Being a woman herself, she understood women, and after hearing Chitani Isamu's words, she knew the blind date was a lost cause. However, Chitani Isamu insisted on not believing it.

"Good luck," Mutsuki smiled in encouragement. What else could he say? Even Ueda Aya, his friend, couldn't persuade Chitani Isamu.

Moreover, Mutsuki actually hoped Chitani Isamu would stay busy so that he could substitute for Class 2 of the fourth year again.

"Looks like Mutsuki sensei has a good eye. Ueda, you just wait and see," Chitani Isamu said with increased confidence, fueled by Mutsuki's encouragement.

During the afternoon class, Mutsuki made a small attempt. He intentionally lowered the quality of his teaching.

Based on previous system feedback, he speculated that teaching ratings were divided into two major components: the quality of the lecture content and student satisfaction. He aimed to receive a B-grade evaluation this time, as there was an additional reward for the first time receiving an A-grade evaluation.

Following the logic, there should also be an extra reward for the first time receiving a B-grade evaluation.

[Teaching completed, settling evaluation]

[Rating: B]

[Rewards: Chakra +20]

[First completion of B-grade teaching evaluation—Mastered Chakra Form Transformation]

A plethora of memories about him practicing Chakra Form Transformation instantly flooded Mutsuki's mind.

Mutsuki was pleasantly surprised. In the Chakra system, Form Transformation was a presence that could be effectively strengthened alongside Nature Transformation. Although he had only become proficient, not mastered, in Form Transformation, it was not limited by Chakra attributes.

Speaking of Form Transformation, it inevitably brought to mind Naruto's Rasengan, crafted from beginning to end. Rasengan could be considered a representative Ninjutsu of Peak Form Transformation, wielding tremendous power without the need for Nature Transformation.

"It's time to start developing Rasengan." Mutsuki planned to self-develop this useful A-rank Ninjutsu, which had a detailed training process in the original work. Coupled with his knowledge of Form Transformation, the process shouldn't be too difficult.

The Chakra rewarded for a B-grade evaluation made Mutsuki reconsider his future teaching approach. He thought about occasionally aiming for B-grade evaluations, as each instance might not give much, but it would accumulate over time.

Adding the development of Rasengan to his schedule, Mutsuki found his life to be particularly fulfilling.

Mutsuki really wanted to maintain this peaceful life and develop steadily for a few years. Unfortunately, he didn't transmigrate into a peaceful period, destined to find it hard to enjoy quiet days.

On the fourth day of Mutsuki's arrival in the ninja world, some unwelcome news arrived in Konoha from the front lines.
