Naruto: Strongest Shinobi System With a Glitch

Chapter 29: Chapter 29

Although people often claimed that Kakashi Hatake was "chakra-deficient," the truth was more nuanced. As an elite Jōnin, Kakashi's chakra reserves were by no means small. Even one-tenth of his chakra pool easily surpassed that of an average Chūnin.

And more importantly—if one mission rewarded such a boost, then surely more would follow. Stack those rewards infinitely, and surpassing legends like Senju Hashirama or even Uzumaki Naruto wouldn't just be possible... it'd be inevitable.

But this particular mission wasn't going to be easy.

The Sexy Jutsu itself wasn't hard. The real problem was that Naruto hadn't even invented it yet. He hadn't fully grasped the basics of the Transformation—let alone the twisted art it would one day evolve into.

"What do you think after hearing that story?" Kitazawa asked, studying the contemplative look on Naruto's face.

Naruto's eyes gleamed with excitement. "If I use the Transformation Jutsu to turn into a beautiful woman, I can totally catch enemies off guard!"

"As expected of you." Kitazawa chuckled. It was such a Naruto-like answer.

In many ways, Naruto's charm came from his utter shamelessness. Whether it was inventing the absurdly effective Sexy Jutsu, wearing a green jumpsuit like Gai, or even using the notorious Thousand Years of Death, he did it all with the same fearless grin.

"Hehe, it's all thanks to you, sensei!" Naruto scratched the back of his head, grinning. "Hey, Kitazawa-sensei, are there any more stories about Uchiha Madara—like, the secret kind?"

"We'll save those for another time." Kitazawa coughed lightly, steering him back on track. "Don't forget our goal today."

"Right!" Naruto pumped his fist. "I've gotta master the Transformation Jutsu today!"

Kitazawa smiled to himself. Naruto's energy was infectious. Seeing him so full of life made it hard to believe he carried the burden of being a Jinchūriki. His recovery rate was insane—yet another gift from the Nine-Tails sealed inside him.

That is… assuming he didn't run into a Hokage with a questionable moral compass.

In hindsight, Uzumaki Kushina had been luckier than her son.

Saturday and Sunday passed in a flash.

After relentless practice, Naruto finally succeeded in executing a proper Transformation Jutsu.

Though it had taken him two full days—much slower than Sasuke and the others—he'd already outpaced most of his peers. The average Academy student needed six years just to fully master the Three Body Jutsu. Naruto had done it in two days.

"HAHAHAHA!" Naruto cackled, striking Sasuke's signature brooding pose in celebration. The excitement radiated off him in waves.

Kitazawa massaged his temples.

'Something about that laugh feels deeply cursed…'

"Kitazawa-sensei!" Naruto suddenly blurted, "Who's the most beautiful kunoichi in Konoha?"

Tsunade's image sprang to Kitazawa's mind immediately—because in the world of shinobi, big was often synonymous with beautiful.

"Why do you ask?" Kitazawa raised an eyebrow.

"I wanna use her for my Transformation Jutsu!" Naruto said earnestly. "If I'm gonna trick my enemies, I should use the most beautiful woman in the village, right?"

Kitazawa nodded, then paused. "Your thinking's not wrong… but it's only half right."

"Huh? Isn't beauty enough?" Naruto looked genuinely confused.

"You don't understand men," Kitazawa said, patting his shoulder with a solemn expression. "Men aren't just attracted to beauty. What really stuns them is beauty plus appeal."

A beautiful woman in clothes might catch your eye. A beautiful woman without them? That was a full-on critical hit.

In the original timeline, Naruto's Sexy Jutsu leaned hard into the latter. And it worked—even on Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

"I still don't get it," Naruto muttered, scratching his head.

Kitazawa's brow furrowed.

'How do I even begin to teach this part?' He couldn't exactly drag Naruto into a red-light district for "research."

Sure, in the shinobi world, those places were technically legal businesses. One only had to look at Jiraiya—every time he showed up, it was with a bottle in one hand and a woman on each arm.

Kitazawa doubted Jiraiya was "doing research" like he claimed.

Still… Naruto was just a kid.

If Kitazawa so much as stepped into the Academy the next morning with his left foot first, he might find himself fired—or worse, interrogated by ANBU.

"This can wait," he finally said. "For now, just focus on perfecting your Transformation Jutsu. When the time's right, I'm sure you'll figure out the rest on your own."

After all, Naruto did create the Sexy Jutsu by himself in the original story—without any teacher to guide him.

And when that day came?

Kitazawa would be ready to claim his chakra reward.

A New Week

Kitazawa finished breakfast and made his way straight to the Ninja Academy's conference room.

By the time he arrived, the room was already more than half full, buzzing with quiet chatter among the assembled teachers.

"Kitazawa-senpai!" called Iruka, waving him over with a bright smile.

Kitazawa glanced over and spotted Iruka standing beside Mizuki.

"Kitazawa." Mizuki greeted him with a polite nod, then asked with a faint smile, "How many of your questions do you think will be picked this time?"

"No idea." Kitazawa shrugged lightly. "It's all up to luck."

"Luck? Come on—it's all about skill." Iruka said admiringly. "Kitazawa-senpai, for three years running, you've had the most questions selected. A full ten last year!"

The Ninja Academy's exams were structured much like the ones in Kitazawa's previous life: multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and essay questions.

Altogether, there were only about fifty questions on the entire exam. And last year, Kitazawa alone had written a fifth of them.

"Mizuki, you're no slouch either," Iruka added. "Last year, nine of your questions made it in—you nearly surpassed Kitazawa-senpai!"

"…" Mizuki's fists clenched subtly at his sides.

'Why bring that up again?'

"I'm not that great," Iruka said, trying to laugh it off. "I'll be happy if even one of my questions makes it this year."

"I've heard the Hokage himself selects the final exam questions each year," Mizuki said, glancing sideways at Kitazawa's calm expression. "Maybe Hokage-sama will change the criteria this time."

"Hokage-sama… personally picks them?" Iruka's eyes widened in alarm. "What if my questions annoy him somehow?"

"Don't worry," Mizuki said smoothly, lips curling into a knowing smirk. "Hokage-sama's magnanimous. He'd never blame you."

Before Iruka could respond, the conference room fell silent as Vice-Principal Hisao Sarutobi entered.

All conversation stopped instantly.

"I'll announce how many of your questions were chosen," Hisao Sarutobi said without preamble. He flipped through his papers and read out, "Kitazawa: thirty questions."

A stunned silence filled the room—followed by an immediate uproar.

"Thirty?!" someone blurted out.

It was unheard of. Each teacher submitted thirty potential exam questions, but by long-standing custom, no more than fifteen were ever selected from any one person—to avoid bruising egos.

"How many? That can't be right!" Mizuki's forced smile froze on his face.

"Yeah." Iruka blinked rapidly, his eyes wide. "That's… amazing… but… wow."

Iruka genuinely admired Kitazawa—but thirty out of thirty was simply unbelievable.

"These selections were made personally by Hokage-sama," Vice-Principal Hisao said firmly. "There's no mistake."

Even as he spoke, he looked faintly uneasy. When he'd first seen the list, he'd assumed there had to be an error. But he didn't dare question Hiruzen Sarutobi's choices. Even if there was a mistake… he'd simply have to live with it.

Kitazawa lifted an eyebrow in surprise.

'Whoa. A golden legend drop.'

'This old man's not even pretending anymore. Straight-up favoritism. But hey—if I'm the one getting favored, then Hokage-sama is obviously a man of excellent taste.'

He was well aware this was the Hokage's way of quietly rewarding him for his dedicated efforts with Naruto these past months.

"Next… Mizuki, five questions. Iruka Umino… one question." Hisao Sarutobi continued reading.

With Kitazawa monopolizing thirty slots, the pool for everyone else had been drastically reduced.

When Hisao Sarutobi finished, he left the room without further discussion.

Kitazawa didn't linger either. Since he was scheduled to teach the first class of the day, he calmly headed for his classroom.

"Damn it!" Mizuki finally burst out as soon as Kitazawa was gone. His face twisted in frustration.

He'd lost out the year before last… and the year before that… and now once again this year. At this rate, his pride—and his reputation—were going to be completely shattered.

"Mizuki, don't feel bad. Second place is still really impressive," Iruka said quickly, trying to soothe him.

"…" Mizuki twitched as though physically struck.

'Second place… That's just like saying "small is still cute."'
