Chapter 445: Chapter 445: Climbing Through the Window
Hokage Building.
At this moment, Shishou stood quietly in front of Acting Hokage Shizune, watching her review his intelligence reports from the past few years.
Looking at Shizune, Shishou's mouth curled slightly under his mask.
Over the years in a high position, Shizune had developed a strong presence, her actions becoming more like Tsunade's—decisive and efficient, giving off a strong career woman vibe. Of course, in front of a Flying Thunder God user like Shishou, she was still the sweet, adorable Shizune.
However, when dealing with Aburame Shishou, she was somewhat stern.
After reading through the scroll, Shizune calmly said, "The mission was well done. Thank you for your hard work over these years."
Casually complimenting him, Shizune dismissed Aburame Shishou, then continued with her other duties. She needed to finish quickly to return to her Sage Mode training. Among the people around Shishou, her strength was relatively weaker, so she had to seize every moment.
As Shishou walked out of the Hokage Building, he saw Ino and her friends rushing towards him.
"Shishou!" Hinata, Sakura, and Tenten stopped in their tracks, feeling excited. Only the bold Ino ignored everything and jumped onto him, wrapping her legs around his waist, holding his neck with joy, completely disregarding the Konoha ninjas coming and going around them.
Seeing Ino's actions, Hinata, Sakura, and Tenten felt a tinge of envy.
Holding Ino, Shishou smiled, "Get down now; it's not proper with people watching."
Ino turned her head defiantly, "I don't care."
She even glared at the onlookers, as if daring them to say anything.
Shishou sighed, letting Ino cling to him while greeting Hinata, Sakura, and Tenten.
"Hello, Hinata, Sakura, Tenten. It's been a while."
"Shishou, it's been a while."
After exchanging pleasantries, Hinata, Sakura, and Tenten teamed up to peel Ino off Shishou, leaving her slightly annoyed.
Then Shishou took them to a restaurant, where they dined and shared stories from the past few years.
By evening, after agreeing to gather again the next day, they went their separate ways. Although they all wanted to spend more time alone with Shishou, their mutual presence made them hesitant, resulting in an awkward situation where no one got what they wanted.
On his way home, Shishou bought some cleaning supplies. After being away for years, his house was likely covered in dust and needed a good cleaning.
However, upon reaching his home, Shishou found someone inside.
Opening the door, he discovered his house spotless, with Hana Inuzuka cleaning.
"Hana-neesan," Shishou greeted.
Hana Inuzuka, who had been bending over to clean, turned around and, upon seeing Shishou, exclaimed in delight, "Shishou, when did you get back?"
Seeing the cleaning cloth in Hana's hand, Shishou grinned, "Hana-neesan, what are you doing?"
Blushing slightly, Hana replied, "I had some free time, so I thought I'd help clean up your place..."
Though their relationship had become clear in private, she still felt embarrassed playing the role of a housewife cleaning his place. To avoid being discovered, Hana always came at night.
Dropping his things, Shishou walked over, hugging her, "Hana-neesan, you're the best."
He hadn't expected her to be so considerate, taking care of his house while he was away. Otherwise, after years of neglect, the place would have been uninhabitable.
"Shishou..." Being hugged made Hana uneasy, and she squirmed a bit.
Holding her tightly, Shishou teased, "Hana-neesan, I'm all grown up now."
Years ago, Hana had been reluctant to go beyond holding hands, but now he wouldn't miss this opportunity.
Blushing deeply, Hana stammered, "I don't want anyone to know about us."
Being five years older than Shishou, she felt immense pressure. Plus, Shishou was her brother's companion. If word got out, it would be socially disastrous for her.
Moreover, she knew about Shishou's relationships with Ino and Tenten. If they found out about her secret involvement with him, she wouldn't be able to face them.
"There's no one here anyway," Shishou said, releasing insects to close the door and draw the curtains. He didn't turn on the light, embracing Hana, their faces close. "I've been thinking about you all these years."
Hearing his sweet words, Hana's heart pounded, and her face grew hot.
Feeling the change in her, Shishou cupped her face and kissed her. Hana, already an adult, didn't require the same careful approach as Ino and Tenten. She closed her eyes, nervously and awkwardly responding.
Suddenly, Shishou lifted his head, looking outside.
"W-What's wrong?" Hana asked, confused.
"Shh, someone's coming," Shishou whispered, motioning for silence.
Instantly, Hana tensed up. If caught in his house, there would be no good explanation.
"Knock, knock, knock!" The door echoed with knocks, and Ino's voice came from outside, "Shishou, are you asleep?"
Hearing Ino, Shishou raised an eyebrow, while Hana's anxiety skyrocketed. She least wanted to face Ino right now.
Whispering in her ear, Shishou said, "Hana-neesan, don't make a sound. Let's wait for Ino to leave."
"Okay," Hana nodded slightly.
Just as she did, she froze, gripping Shishou's hands tightly.
Feeling her panic, Shishou chuckled softly. This situation felt oddly exciting.
"Is he asleep already?" Ino's voice pondered from outside. Moments later, footsteps indicated she was leaving.
Relieved, Hana exhaled, then glared at Shishou for his mischief.
"Wait," Shishou said quietly, "Ino's coming back."
Right after, they saw her shadow against the window, highlighted by the moonlight. Fortunately, Shishou had closed the curtains, so Ino didn't see them inside.
No way... Hana's bad feeling grew, recalling Ino's personality.
Pop! The window slid open, and Ino jumped inside.
