Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Famous Scene
"Izayoi-kun, it's time to get up. The class assignments are about to be announced."
The next day, Izanami was once again awakened by Hinata's gentle voice.
He couldn't pinpoint when exactly it started, but the once-disciplined boy had grown used to sleeping in, now relying on Hinata's daily wake-up service.
Likewise, Hinata had developed a habit of waking early to bring him breakfast and wake him gently. It had become a cherished routine for both of them.
"Yesterday, you guys drained all my chakra. I can't move…"
Izanami didn't get up right away. Instead, he extended both hands toward Hinata and said playfully,
"Hinata, pull me up."
"Liar. The chakra we used wasn't even close to your recovery speed."
Hinata answered with a soft scolding, but still reached out to take his hand.
However, the moment her delicate hand touched his, Izanami suddenly pulled her forward.
Caught off guard, Hinata tumbled straight onto him.
Thanks to her well-developed figure compared to her peers, the impact was easily absorbed, and she landed harmlessly atop him.
"Ah..."
Though she wasn't hurt, the surprise made her let out a small cry.
Then, in one smooth motion, Izanami flipped their positions—he was now above her, pinning her gently with his arms propped on either side of her head.
He looked down at Hinata, who had suddenly become a flustered, red-faced princess.
"I… Izayoi-kun…"
Despite the time they'd spent together over the years, Hinata seemed to have reverted emotionally, unable to meet his eyes. Her composure had completely vanished.
Seeing this side of her—a version he hadn't seen in a long time—sparked a sudden, indescribable impulse in Izanami.
But thinking of their age and how their relationship had yet to fully mature, he managed to suppress the urge.
Just as he was about to get off the bed, his eyes caught sight of the familiar black fishnet lining of her outfit. Something about it triggered a memory. And then, in his hometown dialect, he blurted out,
"Hinata, I want to touch your chest."
"Huh?"
Hinata blinked, not understanding what he'd said at first. Then, a moment later, her face turned scarlet.
Even her pale lavender Byakugan eyes transformed into spiral-shaped "Rinnegan" patterns under emotional overload.
Her emotional stats were spiking rapidly, nearing their limit.
Realizing he may have pushed too far, Izanami quickly rolled out of bed and darted into the en-suite bathroom.
Hinata, meanwhile, gasped for air like someone who'd held their breath too long. Her hand went to her chest to calm her pounding heart and the slight ache that followed.
By the time Izanami came out of the bathroom, Hinata was no longer in the room.
He didn't rush out right away. Instead, he opened his wardrobe and pulled out a combat uniform he'd never worn before—custom-made at the beginning of the year.
It was modeled after Ōtsutsuki Indra's white robe, though Izanami's version lacked the wide collar and black magatama beads.
After dressing and fastening the black belt, he retrieved two storage-enabled white wristbands he'd bought the day before. He stocked them with kunai and shuriken, then slipped them on.
The sleeves of the robe were wide, concealing any movement within. Unless the enemy had X-ray vision, they'd never know what he was doing.
Now fully prepared, Izanami stepped out of his room.
Hinata was already seated at the dining table, bento box opened. Her eyes sparkled when she saw him, and her just-calmed heart suddenly began racing again.
She couldn't help it. Right now, Izanami was simply too dazzling.
His black hair and blue eyes, sharp features, and tall frame already made him handsome—but clad in a pristine white robe, he exuded a noble air that made him seem more like a prince than an orphaned commoner.
Hinata instantly regretted wearing something as plain as a white windbreaker and pants. She should have followed her sister's advice and ordered a custom kimono.
They would've matched better that way.
Resolving to consult her sister about outfits later, she quietly watched Izanami eat, her thoughts racing.
Izanami, unaware of her inner turmoil, calmly finished breakfast. The two then left for the Ninja Academy.
"Yo, Izanami, Hinata! Good morning!"
"You two are still glued together, huh? Hope you end up on the same team!"
On the way, they bumped into a few classmates who teased them good-naturedly.
As usual, Izanami just smiled, while Hinata shyly lowered her head, recalling their earlier intimate moment.
The classroom was already half-full when they arrived.
Originally, Uzumaki Naruto was the only student in Class 6-1 who hadn't graduated, but after passing the final exam, the whole class had officially graduated.
Whether the Jonin instructors would accept all of them into teams, however, was still uncertain.
Without fixed seats anymore, everyone sat wherever they wanted, chatting with their closest friends.
Izanami and Hinata picked a spot and sat down.
Before they could begin whispering to each other, someone sat down beside Izanami.
Izanami glanced over and smiled, "Morning, Sasuke."
"Morning," Uchiha Sasuke replied, a hint of anticipation in his voice. "I hope we get assigned to the same team."
Besides Naruto, who he had a strange connection with, Sasuke only respected Izanami and Hinata. If they were teammates, he could spar with them regularly and grow stronger.
Izanami shook his head slightly.
"I'd like that too, but you know the rules. The top three students can't be on the same team. Otherwise, the Chunin Exams would be too one-sided."
"Yeah… you're right," Sasuke sighed in disappointment. He rested his chin on his hand and waited for the team assignments.
Just then, a familiar figure suddenly squatted in front of him.
It was Uzumaki Naruto.
With golden hair and a mischievous grin, his slit-like blue eyes stared at Sasuke provocatively.
Sasuke's face twisted into a scowl of annoyance.
Izanami, watching from the side, couldn't help but smirk knowingly.
It's happening again…
"This Naruto guy is really rude."
"Yeah! Sasuke-kun, teach him a lesson!"
Nearby girls, disgusted by Naruto's behavior, muttered in irritation.
But seeing Izanami and Hinata sitting nearby, they hesitated to intervene.
At that moment, the boy in front of Sasuke joined the conversation and casually leaned back—without realizing Naruto was squatting on the desk right behind him.
The accidental elbow nudged Naruto's rear, making him lose balance.
Their faces drew closer—Naruto's eyes widened in horror.
Sasuke's expression froze.
Mu~~ah!
In front of their stunned classmates, the two boys unintentionally kissed.
It was the Kiss of the Century.
"…!"
Izanami nearly whistled. He actually regretted not bringing a camera.
Hinata gasped, covering her mouth with both hands, her cheeks burning.
It was… too much to process.
"Blegh…"
Seconds later, Naruto and Sasuke recoiled, each gagging.
Uchiha Sasuke glared murderously. "Dead last… I'm going to kill you!"
Before he could act, a dark shadow loomed.
Sakura Haruno and the rest of Sasuke's fan club stormed forward, completely ignoring Hinata and Izanami.
They shoved aside the boy who caused the accident and dragged Naruto to the podium—where he received a brutal group beating.
A dust cloud rose, echoing with Naruto's yelps and pleas for mercy.
