Naruto: The First Avatar

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Spirituality

"The most important thing that one should know about bending, and that goes for any element, is that being aware of yourself is the most important factor when determining your bending prowess and skill.

Someone with a weak mindset or someone who has lost their purpose will never be able to bend against someone who knows what they wish to achieve or has a goal to achieve.

That is the most crude and fundamental way for me to explain the concept of Spirituality, which is a reflection of one's self. Even your amount of Chi/Chakra lacks the same importance as being aware of yourself, as one can achieve miracles if they have the will to accomplish what many perceive as impossible.

This journey will allow you the bonus of your bending already being far stronger than those who do this later, and it will give you insight into controlling one of the few benefits that there are to being that Avatar, The Avatar State.

I know that you have questions right now, but before we go further, I want you to ask yourself two questions.

Who are you?

What do you want in life?"

Hayato closed his eyes and thought deeply about Yangchen's two questions, which forced him into a deep trance as he pondered the answers.

Who was he? Was he the man who was viewed as the greatest genius of the century in his world, who had revolutionized many systems and cured hundreds of problems that humanity had? Or was he the boy who had embarked on the mission for the Light to help protect an entire Multiverse from falling into a mass state of disarray?

And even more importantly, what did he truly want? He lived his last life for others, amassing more wealth than he could spend and only acting for the betterment of his race and planet, but not for himself. Did he wish to live his new life simply as a tool for the Light, an extension of his will, and merely as a guardian, one who only lived to serve?

No. The Light didn't say it would control his life. It only wanted him to achieve a single mission in exchange for him being reborn with great power and living in a magical and unique world.

So what did he want? Maybe to have friends? To have a family? To live like the people in his last life did, where they struggled, failed, persevered, and succeeded.

Yes!!

That's what he wanted. He wanted to face the dangers of this new world. To fear the beings that had God-Like power and could create Dimensions. To overcome trials and challenges like Madara and Obito. To succeed in taking down the Otsutsuki. To embrace his role as the Avatar an bring Balance to a cruel world like this one.

He would live for the betterment of his world and the betterment of society, but he would enjoy his new life and truly prosper with it.

He was Avatar Hayato, the hope of the Shinobi World.

~Yangchen~

'I wonder how long he will stay in his state. It took me around four hours to truly figure out my ideals and understand who I wanted to be, but I expect it'll only take him half that time.' Yangchen thought to herself as she looked at Hayato.

However, she was stunned when she saw Hayato's eyes glow white, a sign that he had understood himself fully.

'How?!?' Yangchen thought in shock, as he had barely been in his trance for a minute.

No Avatar in history had achieved something like this.

[I AM AVATAR HAYATO, THE BRINGER OF BALANCE IN THE SHINOBI WORLD!!!] A conglomerate of hundreds of voices spoke all at once, with Hayato floating in the air as a massive burst of pure energy was sent from him, letting the world know of the arrival of the Avatar.

Nature itself seemed to commanded by his will, with the world around him shifting greatly as he seemed reminiscent to a descending God rather than a mere mortal.

The Nature Chakra of the world went towards him as if it had finally found its true master of who should have the right to command it.

'He may become the greatest of us all at this rate!' Yangchen thought though a proud smile could be seen on her face.

~Konoha~

Inside the Hokage's Office, a man with brown hair looked at his three students who had just returned from their mission.

"I'm glad to see that you three are fine. If anything were to happen to you, Biwako would ring my neck." The man behind the desk smiled.

"Thanks to Tsunade, we were able to escape successfully. If I had gone with just this idiot alone, I likely wouldn't have made it back, " the pale-skinned man with black hair said.

"HEY!! I did a lot in the-" The white-haired man's words stopped as he looked up instantly, with his teacher doing the same thing.

'Wh-What could cause such a reaction with the Nature Chakra in the world? It's as if it moved rapidly towards a single source in one instant.' Jiraiya thought.

"I need to contact the Great Toad Sage, Sensei." Jiraiya spoke suddenly, with his changes making both of his teammates grow alarmed.

Hiruzen simply nodded, his gaze still on the strong feeling that he had just felt, one that could rattle the current God of Shinobi.

~Mount Myoboku~

"The World... It's fate has changed." The Great Toad Sage spoke in the silence of the room, his eyes wide as he couldn't believe that his prophecy no longer stood.

~Ryuchi Cave~

"This should be impossible." The White Snake Sage said as she dropped her pipe in shock.

~Shikkotsu Forest~

"What could possible cause such a change in the fate of the world?" One of the oldest beings alive asked to herself, her giant body trembling in both fear and excitement, as for this first time, the world had lost it's definitive path.

~Land of Night~

'This?' A man questioned himself as he felt a change in the Dimensional Plane he was on, yet he decided not to linger on it too long.

~Pure Lands~

"Balance..." An ancient voice muttered, yet it closed it's eyes once again afterwards.
