Bōjutsu is the use of the Bō staff in combat. While most people use preset styles in order to fight with it, you have created a style all of your own. Nowhere near effective compared to a regular Bōjutsu style, this will nevertheless keep you from tripping yourself up over your own feet while using a Bō.

In addition to the usual Ryo and occasional [Cured Squirrel Furs], Naruto picked up another [Crafting Recipe], this time for a [Squirrel Fur Vest], which explained why he kept getting these pesky furs.

The big paycheck was found where the carcass of the [Berserk Fox Squirrel] had been. Not only was there a hefty chunk o' change (3000 Ryo!), there was also a [Extra-Large Cured Squirrel Fur], as well as a Jutsu Scroll.

"At last!" Naruto grinned and hit 'Y', letting the jutsu scroll dissolve into blue light and sink into him.

The Wind Style: Rotating Shuriken Jutsu is a useful jutsu for increasing the effectiveness of your Shurikenjutsu. By infusing a shuriken with Wind-Natured Chakra, you increase its cutting power. Once a shuriken has been infused, you can manipulate the shuriken to attack your opponents remotely.

- Actively increases the Damage of any infused bladed weapon by 10.

- Actively allows you to control the infused weapon up to 4 Meters away.

"Kick ASS! No damn handsigns!" Naruto cheered, before looking around with a frown, "Now where's that damn 'Grand Chest' thingy?"

As if waiting for him to ask that question, the tree that the Field Boss had made its entrance on split in two and fell neatly apart, revealing…

"What the hell?" Naruto groaned before stomping up to look at them. They were a deep royal blue colour with black designs around the ankle that Naruto had to admit were pretty cool looking.

"{Observe}" he muttered.

"Nice, but not what I was looking for." Naruto remarked as he picked them up and put them in his inventory. A note was lying on the floor.

"To the Shinobi who defeated the Fox Squirrel,

My compliments. You have passed the first hurdle, but do not become complacent. Many harder tasks await you in the other areas. If you wish to open the [Grand Chest], you must gather not only the five keys currently in your possession, but the [Chakra Pass] from Area 6 to allow you entry to the room in which it is kept.

I, and the chest, await you in Area 13.

The Forest Lord."

"Who the hell is this 'Forest Lord' guy?" Naruto moaned, "Well, no use standing around like an idiot. On to the next Area!"

With that, Naruto charged off to the exit of the Area, leaving the note to fade into dust behind him.

Outside Training Ground Thirteen

"This bites!" Naruto grumbled. He was currently torn between glaring at the rusty gate that barred his way back into the Training Ground and the window floating in front of him.

How the hell is he supposed to know about these things if the damn windows don't tell him about them?!

Huffing in displeasure, Naruto decided to head back to Konoha and examine his spoils from today's loot. He did have quite a few, if you included raised skill levels into the equation.

Closing the irritating window, Naruto began the trek back to his new home, mentally reviewing his performance in the forest today. He had to admit that his training had really helped him out; if he had tried this before he got his Gamer ability, he would have had the snot kicked out of him by those damn squirrels.

He still had to either get his hands on a wide-area attack jutsu or make better use of his clones, as some of those fast moving squirrels had come way too close to taking a bite out of him.

As it was, he was surprised that his clothes were still intact from all of the scratches and bites he had suffered in the Training Grounds, but he supposed that was all a part of the whole Gamer thing.

He blinked as a new window appeared in front of him.

"…someone is trying to make a point about my cleaning habits, aren't they?" Naruto muttered under his breath.

He made it back to his apartment without further incident and, after a Cup Ramen or two, settled down to read through the improved versions of his skills.

Earth affinities are not uncommon in the Elemental Nations, although Ishi no Kuni and Tsuchi no Kuni are the ones who have more born there than any other country. Earth Ninjutsu is seen as primarily a element of defence, but in the right hands one can make traps, launch counterattacks and even alter the landscape itself.

Strong against: Fire, Water.

Weak against: Lightning, Wind.

-Passively decreases the chakra cost of Doton Jutsu by 2%.

-Passively increases the effectiveness of Doton Jutsu by 1%.
