Naruto: The Medical Shinobi

Itachi and Ryu ran towards Uchiha's private training ground with their arms waving in the air behind them. They landed in the middle of Itachi's favourite spot. One more person made an appearance and landed up high on a tree.

Ryu and Itachi both noticed this person. Ryu thought, "It's Shisui. It's good that he's here, but this may disrupt the timeline even more than I already have. If that's the case, then let's make the most out of this fight."

"Do you want me to send him away? He will leave if I ask him to," Itachi interrupted Ryu's thoughts and asked.

"No need; I am his fan too." Ryu said.

"Are you a fan of all the Uchiha?" Itachi asked, curious about Ryu's admiration for both him and Shisui.

"No, just you two. I find the others to be a pain in my ass. Especially Kenji." Ryu retorted, explaining his selective admiration for Itachi and Shisui.

Ryu picked up a stone and said, "Let's start when this rock hits the ground."

Itachi nodded, and Ryu threw the stone up high. Both of them watched the stone fall, and when it was about to hit the ground, time seemed to stand still.

- [Temporary Enhance] running on [Fast thinking] and [Parallel thinking]

- [Overclocking] enabled

Ryu thought, 'If I may need them in the future, let's make a good first impression.'

As the rock hit the ground, both launched themselves like bullets and clashed with each other. They engaged in hand-to-hand combat. They swiftly countered and evaded each other's strikes.

Itachi thought, 'He is good. Very good. He was holding back too much against Kenji. Is he really a first-year? Kenji had no chance against this monster.'

He was saying it like he was worried, but Itachi was smiling as they fought. He wasn't challenged much after he displayed exceptional talent at a young age in the academy. His status as son of the clan leader also kept the challenge away. But in reality, he was very strong, stronger than even many adults. Ryu was also smiling. It was the first time he was not holding back after a long time.

After the hand-to-hand exchange, shuriken were thrown at Ryu, but he remained unfazed. He bent his neck left and right and then stepped left and right with minimal movement, dodging all shuriken.

Ryu said, "You were watching me fight Kenji, right? Then you know it's useless against me."

Itachi launched more shuriken, and Ryu ran sideways, dodging and launching his own shuriken, which Itachi also dodged swiftly. Itachi then grabbed the wire he had attached to a shuriken and directed it to change the trajectory of the shuriken, slightly scratching Ryu's cheek.

Ryu wondered, 'He used that string at the last possible second. Even without Sharingan, you are better than Kenji and Akira combined. What happened to you in the original story? On a badass scale, you were the G.O.A.T., but power-wise, you lag behind significantly compared to Madara, Obito, and even Sasuke. Was that because of the illness?'

Ryu smiled and gently wiped away the trickle of blood from the scratch on his cheek.

- Running [Temporary Enhance] on [Minor Healing]

- [Super Healing] activated

The wound smoked a little and then disappeared into the skin, surprising both Itachi and Shisui with Ryu's unexpected healing abilities.

'What was that? Healing without any handseal. Is he already skilled in medical ninjutsu?' Itachi wondered, astonished by Ryu's unexpected healing capabilities.

Although the wound was minor, Ryu wanted to impress the top ninjas on his list by showcasing his impressive healing abilities, leaving a lasting impression on them.

- [Super Healing] deactivated

Even if [Super Healing] was active, it was not draining too much, as it was only a scratch, but he soon deactivated it to not waste his stamina to fight longer.

At that moment, Itachi waved a few hand seals and said, "Fire Release: Flame Bullet."

Ryu saw a fireball coming and looked at the blood on his hand and thought, 'Good thing I learnt slotting. It helps me deploy fuinjutsu without writing it manually. And I don't even need to use hand seals or a slotting scroll to do it.'

As he was thinking that, the little blood he had on his hand came alive and moved. When the fire about reached Ryu and he was just standing there, both Itachi and Shisui became nervous that jutsu was about to seriously hurt Ryu.

But what happened next surprised them. Ryu wasn't joking when he said he wouldn't be holding back.

- [Passive barrier] activated

The shield blocked the fireball, and it exploded on the shield. The fire was blocking the view, but Ryu's face was visible to both Itachi and Shisui from behind the transparent shield and all that fire on it, and the image of his face waved due to heat haze.

Ryu was smiling like Majin Vegeta was after killing onlookers in the world tournament in the Majin Buu saga under the influence of the Majin Seal.

If it were anyone other than Itachi or Shisui, they would have been terrified watching Ryu smile like a maniac.

Ryu looked at his forearm. There was a seal pattern for [Passive Barrier] written with his own blood on his arm.

Elsewhere, Akira and Kenji were also having a battle of their own when they noticed the explosion of Itachi's fireball, and they paused their battle, saw the smoke, and many birds flew away from the direction of the smoke.

"What was that?" Kenji asked.

"Isn't that obvious? Someone is fighting in that direction," Akira said.

Kenji said, "Let's go check it out," and ran in the direction of Ryu and Itachi.

"Oiii, wait," Aikira followed.

They reached the battle location in less than a minute, as it was not far away. As soon as they reached there, they were scared shitless watching Ryu smile like a maniac.

Ryu thought, 'Good that those two came. After today, they won't bother me again.'

Ryu and Itachi both noticed, but seeing Ryu ignore them, Itachi ignored them as well. Shisui landed near Akira and Kenji and asked, "What are you two doing?"

"We heard that explosion and came to see who was fighting," Kenji said.

"Did Itachi challenge him? But Lord Fugaku said, "Akira asked.

Shisui interrupted and said, "Itachi and Ryu are just talking. Just watch and keep your distance." 

"Does it look like they are talking?" she thought, but she did not question any further and kept watching.

Ryu looked at his hand again and thought, 'This seal won't cut it.'

Itachi and Shisui also noticed the seal on his forearm like a tattoo. Shisui thought, 'That wasn't there before. He can slot. But I also did not see him make any hand seals or take out any scroll.'

Ryu started walking casually towards Itachi, with a relaxed demeanour.

- [Passive barrier] deactivated

- [Reflex Guard] activated

The tattoo-like pattern morphed, and Itachi and Shisui noticed it too and became tense.

"What the hell?" both of them said.

Itahci was still surprised by the earlier sudden display of the barrier. Itachi thought, 'So Ryu is a sealmaster. He was holding such a secret. Those brats are bothering the wrong person. Ryu will eat them alive someday if they do not stop annoying him.'

Itachi then soon composed himself again and said, "Let's see if you can block this one."

"Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique," Itachi said.

He then launched multiple fire bullets and moved in an unpredictable manner, not in a straight line. Unpredictable, but not for Ryu. Fire jutsu moved around and tried to surround Ryu, but he kept walking when the bullets were about to reach him, and time slowed down again from Ryu's perspective.

- Calculating optimum angles for trajectory change 

The hexagonal shield appeared near each bullet, but instead of facing and blocking it, it appeared at an angle. When the bullets hit the barrier, some were blocked, but some just changed their trajectory and were directed to where Shisui and others were standing. All three of them had their sharingan active, and they all clearly saw what Ryu did there.

Itachi was dumbfounded. He thought, "What the hell are those barriers?"

"That attack was intentional. Both of you, do not think about intervening and maintain a safe distance," Shisui instructed, emphasising the need to respect the ongoing confrontation.

"Itachi-san," Ryu spoke, "There is too much on your mind, and you are not certain of who you want to be. You lack conviction. That's what's holding you back."

"I lack conviction?" Itachi thought.

- [Lighting Argumentation] activated

- [Super Healing] activated

Lightning formed around Ryu's body as he launched himself at Itachi. As he was about to reach Itachi, Itachi launched a close-range fire jutsu.

"Fire Release: Fire Bullets," Itachi said.

Ryu jumped to the side, and a shield was formed, floating in the air. Ryu stepped on the shield and jumped on the next shield and then the next and landed right behind Itachi in just a couple of seconds and punched him before his surprise wore off.

Shisui, Akira, and Kenji watched what just happened with their mouths wide open.

After the childish fight between kids in the academy, this is the first real fight that I wrote. I hope you liked it. Itachi and Shisui are my favourite characters and deserve more screen time. Especially Shisui.
