Naruto: Transmigrated as an Uchiha

Chapter 5: Chapter: 5

It was another early morning, and Toshiro was returning home with sweat pouring down after completing his morning training.

"I'm back," he announced while stepping into the hallway, removing his ninja sandals. He found that breakfast was almost ready.

"Welcome back, go wash yourself first, and breakfast will be ready in a minute." There was a reply from Mei, along with some busy sounds in the kitchen.

After a while, Toshiro sat down at the table and began to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Ever since, he has been training to become a ninja. The meals prepared by Mei became extremely exquisite. Milk, bread, beef, lamb, and fish. A variety of fruits and vegetables to create a well-balanced diet. Feeling this silent care, Toshiro got a heartwarming feeling. The same one was lost when his mother died. It felt like all the emotions of the kid also got transferred to me along with his memories.

The sense of uneasiness I felt when I first arrived in a different place has also been reduced a lot. 'The pre-school training in the clan has ended, and Toshiro has successfully unlocked his chakra. From today onwards, I will be on normal duty in the police force.' I looked at the little boy eating across the table. Mei announced out loud what she was thinking to Toshiro.

It may be that he knows that Toshiro doesn't talk much, and he rarely communicates with children of the same age. Mei thought that he was still immersed in the grief of losing his mother. So she didn't care about table etiquette and talked out loud while eating.

'I just want to talk more with him.'

It's been two months since I came into this world unknowingly. From the beginning of the confusion and anxiety to the present sense of belonging. Toshiro has completed his transformation from being an ordinary earthling to a native of the Ninja World.

The month-long pre-school training ended yesterday. The process of unlocking his chakra was successful on the second day of the training.

This achievement pales in comparison to some geniuses who were able to refine chakra in just one day, or even a few hours, in the history of Konoha. The result was not too bad. In the Uchiha clan, it can only be regarded as an upper-middle level, and it is much better than those children who took nearly a month to succeed at the end of the training.

During the same training period, more than 20 children who participated in the training with him successfully unlocked their chakra. Following him, five or six others were successful in a week. The percentage of children who succeeded is lower than that of those who did not.

In the end, there were 13 people—seven men and six women—who failed to unlock their chakra. Out of the 20 who succeeded, I don't know how many people can become Shinobi. In the end, he adapted to the cruel struggle of life.

Simultaneously, during the training, he learned basic taijutsu, basic swordsmanship, shuriken/kunai throwing, and how to make handseals. Taijutsu and ninjutsu using seals form the fundamental basis of a ninja's foundation. The Uchiha specifically has its own forms of Kenjutsu and Taijutsu, taking the Sharingan into consideration, and also that even uchihas who haven't awakened Sharingan have better eye sight than other clan ninjas. That is also the reason why the Uchiha have better shuriken justu than others.

The Uchiha clan's Sharingan copy power, the usage of shuriken throwing skills, and exquisite swordsmanship. In addition, the natural inclination of the Uchiha to have powerful fire ninjutsu, as well as the Sharingan Genjutsu that can be cast without a seal, All the above caused envy for other hidden villages and also for lots of ninjas in Konoha.

In this way, the Uchiha clan is revered as the "perfect" ninja clan that was proficient in ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu, which were also the roots of the Uchiha's strength.

As for each of the trainees who successfully unlocked their chakra, a copy of the basic Fire Chakra nature training was given along with the basic jutsus of fire nature, the Gokakyu no jutsu, the Ryuuka no jutsu, and the Hosenka no jutsu. These jutsus were passed down from generation to generation in the Uchiha clan.

For the children of the Uchiha clan, fire ninjutsu or even other four elemental techniques or illusion techniques are not too precious. Whether it is one's original family or relatives and friends around, you would have access to collections of them to a greater or lesser extent. After all, being a ninja has been a way of life for the Uchiha for thousands of years. There will be more or less a legacy of various ninjutsu, illusions, or training experiences in the family, like I have some in our study room. What the clan really controls are all kinds of secret or forbidden arts, as well as the secrets of the Sharingan, how it is awakened, and how to progress it from one to two and then to three Tomoe. Also the later stages of the Sharingan, like Mangekyo, the Eternal Mangekyo, and its jutsus. I have not heard even a peep of information on Mangekyo when they were teaching some things about the Sharingan.

Thinking of secrets, I don't know in which division Neesan works. "What kind of work do you do in the Uchiha Police Force? Is it patrolling, or combatants who specialize in catching criminals?"

"I'm on the third team under the Uchiha Garrison, and I'm mainly responsible for medical support!" Hearing that Toshiro was interested in her work, Mei explained it to him.

The Uchiha police force, which lacked many scenes in the manga, primarily consists of three major teams operating under its name. The first department primarily focuses on arresting criminals and completing various challenging tasks that the Hokage assigns to the force. The second department is mainly engaged in daily patrol of the village and is also partially responsible for catching spies. And the third department to which Mei belongs is responsible for non-combat tasks such as Konoha Prison and medical logistics.

From this, it can also be seen that the main composition of the Uchiha, the First Department, is mainly responsible for combat missions outside the village. The Second Department is mainly responsible for the defense of the village, with tasks like daily patrol and intelligence gathering on the status of the village's internal activities. The Third Department is mainly responsible for the production of seals, medical treatment, secret medicines, and various ninja supplies.

As for the family of the patriarch, they are mostly the strongest among the Uchiha clan. This is a clan where only the strongest can become the clan head. Every time there is a succession race in the clan for the position of clan head, the contenders always have a free-for-all fight. This might be one of the reasons for the divide in the clan.

The work of different families in the clan has changed over the years due to the formation of different teams, but many things have also been passed down. For example, Mei Uchiha's family used to be mainly responsible for medical treatment and the production of secret medicines. And Toshiro's father was one of the main leaders of the third team before his death. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many ninjutsu, illusions, and various seals in his home, and there were a lot of scrolls on human anatomy, chakra theory, and medical ninjutsu due to this.

It seems that the stereotype of assuming all the Uchiha are combat oriented is very wrong! I used to think that the Uchiha family didn't have a medical ninja, but now that I think about it, I think it's a little ridiculous. The Uchiha and the Senju have been fighting each other for almost a thousand years. In such a long period of time, the clan's various ninja techniques have developed considerably. For example, if there is no medical ninjutsu, how can Madara Uchiha successfully change his eyes to those of Izuna, his brother? I think there should be something to be achieved in non-combat areas, such as enchantment seals.

A ninja clan, especially a powerful clan like the Uchiha, stands at the pinnacle of the ninja world. The benefits for every member of the clan are clearly their bloodline and their knowledge acquired over a thousand years. Every family member who wants to grow up will have countless opportunities to become stronger. You don't have to risk a lot of dangerous missions to acquire merit points for ninjutsu, like civilian ninjas.

Being born into the Uchiha clan is like having a double-edged sword. I have the benefits of the bloodline and a way to become stronger quickly. But the pace at which I become strong will determine whether I will die, as all the uchiha have in the story, or survive.

I'll not be able to escape easily from Konoha due to the vigilance of Danzo. And no one in the clan will listen to me, even if I cook up some great ideas, if I don't have enough strength and power. The only way is to be the strongest in the clan and start something from the top. What that something is, I do not know for now.
