Chapter 127: 127. Misunderstanding
"Hey, hey, hey, can you all hear me?!"
"Stop fighting, stop fighting!"
Uchiha Gin's shouts were drowned out by the loud crashes of the giants fighting, making his voice sound like a mosquito's buzz. Realizing his efforts were futile, he let his hands fall. Both women were fully engrossed in the battle, and there was no way his small self could stop them.
"No choice then, I'll have to use that."
With a sigh, Uchiha Gin turned and found Uchiha Haruka, who was trembling behind a rock.
"Haruka, you take those two dummies and hide somewhere safe."
"Aren't you coming with us, Gin-san?"
Hearing his teacher's voice, Uchiha Haruka raised her dusty little head, her face covered in grime like a little cat, filled with confusion.
"Do you believe in the light?"
Instead of answering her question, Uchiha Gin asked an enigmatic question.
"Huh?"
Uchiha Haruka was even more baffled now. Gin-san's thoughts were always so unpredictable, she couldn't keep up.
"By 'light,' do you mean sister Hikari?"
She cautiously answered, her mind too limited to think of any other meaning.
"Sigh... you kids with no childhood. One day, I'll show you what I mean," Gin said, shaking his head, lamenting the incomplete childhood of the locals.
Looking at the two giants fighting in the background, the lazy look in his eyes suddenly sharpened, bursting with a strange light.
Uchiha Gin turned, leaving Uchiha Haruka with a confident back, his tone no longer the usual lazy drawl.
"Haruka, evacuate the civilians. I'll go check things out at the front!"
With that cryptic line, Uchiha Gin ran towards the battlefield without looking back.
Uchiha Haruka: (...) Huh?
"This feels more ceremonial," Gin thought to himself, feeling satisfied with his earlier performance. Suddenly remembering something, he clapped his hands together, and a pale blue light flashed.
A branch extended from his palm, rapidly transforming under his manipulation until it became a uniquely shaped flashlight.
"No matter how urgent, we can't settle for mediocrity!" Gin muttered, holding the crude wooden flashlight. Far from being disappointed by its simplicity, he felt an even greater sense of duty.
Clutching the makeshift transformation device, Gin sprinted to the center of the battlefield where the two women were fighting.
"Whew... first time, and I'm a little nervous," he admitted, glancing at the two giants whose battle was shaking the earth. He took a deep breath, steadying his trembling heart. Then, raising his hand holding the transformation device above his head, his gaze became righteous and resolute.
"I want to see everyone's genuine smiles. So, watch closely, here's my transformation!"

As he pressed the button on the device, Uchiha Gin's body was enveloped in a blinding blue light, so intense that everyone on the battlefield turned to look.
"Is that... Gin?!"
Both women momentarily paused, confused, and turned towards the glaring light source.
Uchiha Hikari's Mangekyō Sharingan easily pierced through the light to see Gin inside, while Uzumaki Mito's sensory abilities similarly recognized the figure standing within the glow.
"Human trafficker?" Mito thought, bewildered.
Just as they were distracted, a thunderous shout came from the light, so loud that it made both women instinctively feel a sense of danger, like prey being watched by a predator.
Uchiha Gin stood firmly on the ground as a torrent of Wood Release chakra surged from him. Numerous thick branches burst from the earth, wrapping around him and fusing together in an orderly manner, growing higher and higher, sending dust flying everywhere.
In no time, a colossal figure emerged from the smoke. With a wave of its hand, powerful gusts of wind scattered the dust.
"Wham! Wham! Wham!"
The two women reflexively raised their arms to shield themselves from the intense pressure. Stones caught in the wind pelted their giant forms, sounding like fireworks exploding.
Feeling the oppressive aura, the two women cautiously lowered their arms, looking at the figure emerging from the dust with unease. They instinctively took a step back in unison.
A massive blue giant stood in the middle of the battlefield. Its body, though not bulky, was beautifully strong. The simple lines of its form gave off an air of mystery. A ridge ran from its head down to its trapezoidal mouth, its eyes were almond-shaped, and its strange face radiated a divine serenity, reminiscent of a Buddha.
Its muscular chest and shoulders were striking, exuding an imposing presence. A round orb protruded from its chest, and within it, Uchiha Gin stood, his hands trembling with excitement.
"It's all here, everything!"
Gin couldn't contain his excitement. He had never imagined his first time using this jutsu would go so well.
Indeed, the technique was the Wood Human Technique, contributed by none other than Yamato. If he ever met him, Gin thought, he'd owe him a favor.
[Wood Release: Wood Golem Technique]
In the original story, the wood golem summoned by this technique took on different forms depending on the caster.
Hashirama's wood golem was a dragon-wrapped Arhat, while Yamato, under White Zetsu's control, summoned a miniature version of the Shinsuu Senju.
Clearly, the wood golem's form wasn't fixed but was instead shaped by the caster. Uchiha Gin had tried to mold his wood golem into the form he'd always dreamed of, and to his surprise, it worked.
"Hehe... You two disobedient brats, are you ready to face justice?"
Gin, controlling the wood giant, extended a hand and made a classic Ultraman taunt towards the two cautious women.
"Come on, bring it!"
"Ugh, why does Gin look so punchable!" Hikari, inside her crimson Susanoo, puffed out her cheeks in frustration, her eyes darkening with irritation.
"Good thing the human trafficker is fine," Uzumaki Mito thought, relieved, seeing Gin summon such a massive wood golem. She patted her chest, thankful he wasn't hurt.
"But... why do I feel like picking on him?"
Even Mito couldn't resist the urge, the taunt's effect was just that powerful.
"Waaahh!"
From a relatively safe distance, Uchiha Haruka and two brothers companions, mouths agape, stared at the sudden appearance of the blue giant.
"Bro, that thing is awesome!"
The normally composed Ginkaku was the first to recover, his eyes full of admiration as he grabbed his still-stunned brother, Kinkaku.
"Damn, that's so cool!"
Kinkaku, snapped out of his daze, gave the highest praise a man could offer.
"GIN!!! Why did you play with another woman behind me?!"
Half-consumed by darkness, Hikari made the first move, swinging her massive blade at Gin's wood giant, the blood-red edge flashing with killing intent.
"Watch out!"
Mito, though she also wanted to smack Gin, didn't share Hikari's murderous intent.
Seeing the blade coming down, she hurriedly shot golden chains from her giant to stop the attack.
"Smack!"
Just as the chains were about to reach the blade, a pair of large blue hands appeared, catching the blade with perfect precision. It was the classic Ultraman move: catching a sword bare-handed.
"Hngh!"
Hikari gritted her teeth, pouring all her chakra into Susanoo, her face flushing red with effort. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't pull the blade from the wood giant's simple but unyielding grasp.
"Disobedient children need a lesson in justice."
Gin chuckled, controlling the wood giant as it ripped the sword from Hikari's hands.
The crimson sword shimmered in the giant's hands, and with a flash of light, it transformed.
"Huh?"
Everyone stared in silence as the wood giant's hand now held a... ruler.
Gin, unbothered, swished the ruler around, satisfied. Then, with a wave of his hand, countless wooden branches erupted from the ground, wrapping around Hikari's Susanoo and draining her chakra.
"What are you doing? I'm Uchiha Hikari!"
Unable to move, Hikari watched in horror as the wood giant approached with the ruler, ready to strike.
"Haha... I know, but in my family, naughty kids get punished."
Gin cackled, controlling the wood giant to raise Hikari's Susanoo and deliver a swift punishment to the most embarrassing spot.
"Whack!"
"Will you misbehave again?"
"Sniff... No, I won't!"
"Whack!"
"Do you understand human speech?"
"Sniff... I do! Stop!"
"Whack!!!"
"Sniff... You said you'd stop!"
"First time doing this, mistakes happen."
"I'm done, I quit!"
Unable to bear the humiliation, Hikari's dark side retreated into the depths of her mind, and her Susanoo crumbled into dust. She was left lying on the branches, completely bewildered.
"Ah?!"
Feeling an odd pain where she'd been struck, Hikari blushed furiously and let out a loud scream.
"Hmph, from now on, every time I see you, you'll face the family rules."
Uchiha Gin smiled in satisfaction as he placed the screaming girl back on the ground, letting her calm down on her own. Then, controlling the wooden figure, he turned to glance at the golden giant that had been watching the entire scene. His oval-shaped eyes showed neither joy nor sorrow.
"You—"
"Human trafficker, hurry! Tobirama is coming!"
