Naruto: Uchiha Rejects Konoha

Chapter 101: 101. Tsunade Leaves The Village

It was getting late, and Jiraiya had to take care of Naruto, so he said goodbye and left first.

Although Tsunade had been staying in the Hokage Building recently, she was still living in the house prepared for her by the Uchiha. After all, she did not intend to stay in Konoha for long. Even if she avoided working at the harbour terminal, she would find a chance to leave Konoha.

"That guy Jiraiya must know something, but he refused to tell me. Based on what you said just now. Presumably, you also know something. Tell me, what else did the old man and the others do!"

On the way back to the Uchiha compound, Tsunade, who was initially drunk, suddenly spoke.

When Yagami heard this, a slight smile appeared on his lips. Although Tsunade's question was abrupt, it was the result of his subtle influence.

Although the chance was not very high, Tsunade and the Third Hokage had been too close recently.

She had never completely given up on Konoha.

If she were brainwashed by the will of fire of the Third Hokage, she might ascend to the top.

On the other hand, it would create another troublesome situation.

"Since you have no intention of staying, why do you need to know this? Can't you find it out for yourself?"

Yagami moved his lips and spoke with a touch of emotion.

"But I can't watch them destroy Konoha! This place was built with the hard work of countless ancestors. It carries the dreams of too many people. It should be a place where people are happy, but too many tragedies were born here."

Tsunade gritted her teeth slightly. Since she returned, she had witnessed too many disappointments. The current Konoha felt strange and miserable to her.

"Forget it. I'm leaving anyway, so it's fine to tell you some things related to you, but you'll need to confirm them yourself."

Yagami sighed as if hesitating whether to speak or not.

Upon hearing this, Tsunade looked at Yagami with doubt. She couldn't fathom what could be related to her.

"Kato Dan's death was orchestrated by Danzo. It was his people who leaked Kato Dan's location and allowed the enemy to target him when he used the Spiritual Technique. Nawaki—Danzo had a significant role there, too. The Third Hokage also participated, but I don't know the extent of his involvement..."

"This was revealed during a secret meeting between the Third Hokage and Danzo. I have not verified it. You can judge for yourself how credible it is."

As Tsunade's drunk, flushed face gradually turned pale, Yagami stopped speaking further, only citing the source of information.

Nawaki and Kato Dan were Tsunade's absolute ties to Konoha. Other matters might not have shaken her faith, but these two names certainly could.

"I'm sorry, Tsunade-sama, but it's better, you know than remain in ignorance..."

Watching Tsunade rush towards the Hokage Building, Yagami took a deep breath. He didn't believe he had done anything wrong; he had merely stated the truth.

Boom!

The door to the Hokage's office was kicked open, and Tsunade stormed in, her fierce gaze sharp and unrelenting.

The Third Hokage, who had been discussing how to approach the Uchiha with the two advisory elders, suddenly looked up, confusion crossing his face.

When they saw Tsunade's expression—on the verge of exploding—the Third Hokage couldn't help but twitch his eyelids.

"Tsunade, what are you doing?"

"Get out!"

Before the Third Hokage could finish speaking, Tsunade shot a cold look at Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura, issuing a curt eviction order.

"Tsunade! You are so rude. We were discussing with the Hokage, and you barged in without notice."

Boom!

Tsunade stomped on the floor, her chakra surging around her. Cracks instantly formed in the Hokage's office, and the entire building shook violently.

Utatane Koharu's face turned pale immediately, while Mitokado Homura began sweating profusely. Both quickly closed their mouths, not daring to utter another word.

Among the disciples of the Second Hokage, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura had never excelled in anything besides their longevity.

Especially now, in their old age, they were accustomed to their positions of power but lacked the strength of their youth. They were effectively powerless.

"Sarutobi, explain why you allowed Danzo to join the group at that time!"

Once the room was cleared of others, Tsunade suppressed her seething anger and questioned the Third Hokage.

The Third Hokage's heart skipped a beat. Did Tsunade know something?

That couldn't be! It had been so long since the incident, and Danzo, the main perpetrator, was already dead. How could she have found out?

"Don't know how to answer? Fine, let me rephrase. How involved were you in Nawaki and Dan's deaths?"

As the Third Hokage remained silent, Tsunade's lips curled into a sneer. She pressed on relentlessly.

"Danzo did it, and Nawaki..."

The Third Hokage's lips trembled. He struggled to fabricate an excuse, but Tsunade clearly already knew something. Any attempt at covering it up would only backfire. He decided it was better to admit the truth.

"Danzo... It's regrettable that he's already dead. Sarutobi, you're truly remarkable... you're both remarkable! What about you? Were you not involved? Tell me—are you responsible for Nawaki's death?"

Tsunade's chakra flared again, inflicting further damage on the Hokage Building as parts of the ceiling collapsed.

"Tsunade, please listen to my explanation. I didn't want to harm Nawaki! I only wanted him to face a setback and retreat from the frontlines. It was Danzo who twisted my intentions. He orchestrated the fatal outcome..."

"Enough!"

Tsunade roared, her voice filled with bitterness.

Heaven's truth! The Third Hokage hadn't intended for Nawaki's death. He only sought to crush his ambition and leave him physically incapable of pursuing the Hokage position. The actual killing was entirely Danzo's doing!

"What a glorious and majestic Third Hokage... the prized student taught by my grandfather!"

Tsunade laughed bitterly in anger and delivered a devastating punch, sending the Third Hokage flying across the office.

But she didn't continue her assault. Her trembling body betrayed her inability to press on.

Watching the Third Hokage spit blood, Tsunade bit her lip, turned away, and left the Hokage Building, departing from Konoha entirely.

"Old man, what happened? Did Tsunade attack you?"

Anbu and Jiraiya rushed in, having sensed the disturbance. Traces of Tsunade's chakra lingered, making it clear who the perpetrator was.

"It's fine. Let her go..."

The Third Hokage waved them off weakly, accepting the medical treatment in silence. His face seemed to age several years in that moment. He knew this time Tsunade would never forgive him.

On the road outside Konoha, Yagami watched as Tsunade stumbled and collapsed after walking only a short distance. His emotions were complicated.

"Did I just make trouble for myself? This woman, even in this state, insists on running away. She's not even afraid of being kidnapped and sold..."

Yagami muttered under his breath. Between her physical weakness and her mental turmoil, Tsunade was extremely vulnerable. She could barely defend herself, even against common bandits.

After some deliberation, Yagami carried her to the Uchiha Industry outpost in a nearby town. He then contacted the harbour terminal, arranging for Fugaku to send someone to retrieve her.
