Saving a blind man

"Shisui ! Please ! Reconsider what you are saying. There has to be another way." Itachi pleaded to Shisui after hearing what he was about to do.

"Itachi, you should understand this better than anyone else. I am already on the verge of death. And even by some miracle I managed to survive, the clan won't stay idle after knowing that the village elder head blatantly targeted my eyes. You have heard that sound from the village. Haven't you. I doubt that was caused by our Clan. It must be some external enemy targeting the village. At this moment, no matter what, the hidden leaf village cannot afford a civil war. If you have to then use my eyes against the hokage or your father. Only you have the capability to change the fate of the Uchiha clan. My death might raise a lot of suspicion, but it will definitely force the Clan to back down for a while. It should be enough for you to make your move. That's why, I am leaving the fate of our clan as well as the village in your hands. I believe in you, Itachi. So please don't stop me.

I just hope that my death could give you another gift that might help you in achieving your goal." Shisui said his final words, as he plucked out his own eyes as if he was just unplugging his charger from the socket.

Even Naruko, who was watching from a distance, couldn't help but wince at the sight. At that moment even she felt a little emotional after watching the drama. No matter what, Shisui's life was very miserable. And only she could change that miserable life.

Naruko didn't waste any time as she moved from her spot. She had already positioned herself around the bottom of the Cliff just above the Naka river.

As Shisui's body fell from the height, Naruko jumped into the river as well. The current was strong. But Naruko's body was strong enough to easily handle it. To avoid further injuries in Shisui's body, she kept her Chakra chains connected to the wall of the cliff. As soon as Shisui reached near the water, she secretly adjusted his orientation and let him fall straight to the water.

At that point Naruko moved quickly. Not that the blind man was in any state of resisting her. With her natural speed, she managed to drag his body to the hidden shore of the river before making a swallow cut near his chest and pressing her Karma Mark on the wound. Originally she would have put his body into a static seal and would have tried to find the antidote as the cure for the poison. But now it didn't matter. She knew that it was a Chakra poison from hearing the conversation between Danzo and his subordinate through her Senrigan. So she didn't hesitate to use a karma seal to isolate the Chakra poison. With already having the knowledge how to use the Karma seal, the treatment was over within a couple of seconds. But just as Shisui regained his ability to use Chakra, Naruko knocked him out using Tai-lung's technique.

After retrieving the unconscious body of Uchiha Shisui, Naruko immediately put him into a static seal and returned to her apartment as fast as possible.

She had already created a lot of chaos in the village. Now she would have to find a way to delay the war between the Uchiha and the village. It wouldn't be easy, but she will have to set up a proper base camp for the next phase of her task.

Naruko avoided every single shinobi patrolling the streets as she finally reached her apartment after a long detour. Upon entering her home, she suddenly felt exhausted as if the adrenaline rush had ended. Without bothering to say hello to Kurama in her real body he tossed the static scroll containing the unconscious body of Shisui on the sofa and cancelled her reinforced Shadow clone Jutsu.

*Poof*

The consciousness of Kurama was helplessly pushed back into the sealed space as Naruko regained control over her body.

Looking at the pile of shopping bags on the other side of the sofa, Naruko understood that the old man must have paid her a visit before he went to investigate the area. But then she realized something. She was not wearing her panties.

"You damned fox !" Naruko muttered angrily as she immediately cancelled the thought of reviewing the memories of her body while she was gone. Even though she didn't feel any soreness in between her legs, she knew that at some point the damned fox was using her body to relieve himself.

Naruko immediately restricted Kurama's vision and decided to focus on the current situation of the village. She quickly put all the gift bags into the closet without bothering to check them. Then creating a couple of shadow clones, she sent them to cook her a meal. After that, she went to her bed and dropped down, activating her Senrigan. She needed to keep an eye on the top brass of the village. And depending on their situation she would make her next move. Activating her eyes, Naruko immediately found herself seeing the hospital room where Hiruzen was talking with Danzo.

"Danzo, stop blaming everything on the Uchiha ! You can't even take care of a single mission properly ! This is definitely an external enemy who is targeting the hidden leaf village. And in these times, if we get locked in an internal conflict, then the only thing that will happen is the destruction of the hidden leaf village." Hiruzen told Danzo with an authoritative voice without a hint of baking down. But Danzo's unconvinced look made him sigh.

"Look, I understand your Paranoia that this external entity might be some secret ally of the Uchiha Clan. And this entire thing might be the plot of the Uchiha Clan. But at least cooperate with the complete investigation. There were still root agents, whose minds we can read. Even if the root base is destroyed, there might be some worried root agents whose minds we can read. It was no doubt that the attacker was targeting you directly and in extension, the hidden leaf village. If this entire thing is plotted by the Uchiha, then we will suffer if we don't take actions immediately. But if this thing is not arranged by the Uchiha then we will suffer if we take actions immediately. So for now, at least corporate with the investigation. I intend to keep the code red alert till the end of the next week. So even if the Uchiha clan tried to make any move during this time, we will be notified immediately and will have enough time to take actions." Hiruzen tried to calm down the poor Danzo, who had gotten ass-aulted by the mysterious masked woman.

"Fine…. Hiruzen, at least let me borrow some manpower right now. Let me prepare the village in my own way. Whether it is the Uchiha or an outsider with a grudge against me, my team will be able to respond quickly when the time arrives." Danzo understood Hiruzen's logic. But that didn't mean he would let go of the situation without making any profit.

"Alright. I will sanction your request. But not now. You will have to recover first. You can even sit on a normal chair right now. Once you recover, I will fulfill your request." Hiruzen agreed with the request of his bosom buddy.

Seeing the interaction between Hiruzen and Danzo, Naruko sighed in relief. At least they will not go full on blame mode from the very beginning. Naruko was confident that there was nothing to find even if they read the memories of those dead root agents.

So with one problem solved for the time being, she shifted her attention to the Uchiha Clan. They might see it as an opportunity to launch an attack. But Naruko knew that, despite most of the Uchiha being arrogant assholes, a very few of them were actually stupid. And Fugaku was not one of them. But then again Naruko knew her weakness. So she decided to keep a direct eye on the situation to remain in control.
