Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Terrifying Phantom Beasts
A turbulent force like a tidal wave instantly surged through Simu's entire body.
His already massive frame began to expand rapidly.
Scales like black iron emerged across his skin, and his face grew fierce and monstrous, with two massive horns protruding from his head.
He swelled to a height of nearly eight meters—like a miniature titan!
"Wh-What is happening…?"
Huang Tu stood dumbfounded by the sudden transformation.
Why did this guy suddenly morph into… something out of legend?
Simu grinned, baring sharp, terrifying fangs.
The power of the Fish-Fish Fruit, Azure Dragon Form surged through him, giving him strength dozens of times greater than before.
The massive rocks flanking him looked like mere toys in comparison.
With a single swipe of his clawed hand, the enormous boulders—large enough to flatten an ordinary shinobi—crumbled like biscuits.
"Crushed... just like that…"
The nearby ninjas watched the scene unfold in disbelief.
Simu's gaze pierced through the swirling dust and smoke, locking onto Huang Tu.
He opened his mouth.
"Are you prepared to witness the arrival of a king?"
With that, a brilliant flame surged from his jaws.
"Not good!"
Huang Tu's expression shifted. He hastily formed hand seals, summoning an earthen wall to block the incoming flames.
"Heat Breath!"
The blazing flames slammed into the wall.
The intense temperature distorted the air itself.
Even the solid earth wall summoned by Huang Tu struggled to hold up.
Under the scorching heat, the rock began to melt.
Karui, seeing that Huang Tu couldn't hold on, forced herself into action despite her injuries.
With an explosive burst of speed, she appeared beside Simu and landed a fiery punch on him.
An explosion engulfed the dragon man's figure.
But Simu didn't even budge.
"Your attacks are useless."
Simu's golden eyes gleamed in the night, regal and terrifying.
Empowered by the Azure Dragon Fruit, his strength and defense had reached their peak.
Even Karui's Explosion Style barely tickled him.
Not that he was going to let her continue annoying him.
Suddenly, a thick tail lashed out from behind him, slamming into Karui like a steel whip.
His tail, now stronger than iron, struck with the force of a massive pillar.
Simu then used his tail to bind Karui tightly.
Raising his massive spiked mace, he roared—
"Thunder Eight Trigrams!"
Lightning wrapped around the weapon, crackling ominously.
If his earlier Thunder Eight Trigrams was just a prototype, then this time—it was the real thing.
The raw power blasted into Karui.
She screamed in pain—her body writhing before going limp.
The lightning faded.
Karui, small in comparison to Simu's towering form, fell to the ground like a charred doll—lifeless.
"Karui!"
Huang Tu's eyes went bloodshot.
He wasn't afraid of dying.
But as he faced Simu, a voice in his head screamed—
Run…
This was not an opponent anyone could stand against.
And it was true.
This Simu—let alone a thousand shinobi—could even destroy two thousand, maybe three.
"This boring game ends here."
Simu spoke in a voice eerily reminiscent of Kaido—wild and arrogant.
His dragon-scale-covered body began to swell again.
"Stop him!"
Huang Tu didn't know what Simu was planning, but instinct told him—they had to stop it.
The remaining Rock Shinobi launched a desperate attack.
Countless arms of stone erupted from the ground, grabbing at Simu's massive frame.
But he didn't care.
His transformation accelerated.
Cyan scales spread further.
A wild mane formed around his neck.
Even under the crushing weight of the stone arms, Simu's body twisted and grew…
Until he became—
"A dragon…?"
Hundreds of Rock Shinobi stared, dumbfounded.
There had always been legends of dragons in the world.
Ninjutsu that invoked their image—Fire Dragon Flame Bullet, Water Dragon Jutsu, and so on.
But no one had ever seen a real dragon.
"Is this… some new kind of jutsu?"
Huang Tu's face was pale as fear crept in.
A dreadful pressure surged from Simu's body.
He remembered seeing a strange technique in Konoha once—Super Beast Imitating Drawing—which could bring painted beasts to life.
But even that couldn't produce something this massive.
Simu, now a full-fledged dragon, towered hundreds of meters tall.
The stone arms clinging to him shattered instantly under the unimaginable force of his transformation.
He let out a roar that shook the battlefield.
The earth trembled beneath him.
Is this what it feels like… to fly?
Simu was impressed.
From this height, the world looked different.
But now wasn't the time to admire the view.
He wasn't going to waste another second.
His four massive claws gripped the air.
His vast body twisted and coiled through the sky.
Violent air currents whirled around him, forming massive tornadoes.
And the true nightmare… was just beginning.
"Not good—this is bad!"
Huangtu's expression darkened as he watched the scene unfold.
Rei raised his head, and in the next instant, the surrounding natural energy was sucked into him.
After consuming the Green Dragon Fruit, it had become much easier for him to absorb energy in large quantities.
"Sage Art: Ten Thousand Dragon Scrolls!"
As he moved, dozens of massive tornadoes suddenly formed across the battlefield.
These tornadoes were shockingly destructive. The air currents swirling within them were like blades—razor-sharp and deadly.
Getting caught in one meant certain death.
The terrifying storms swept across the battlefield mercilessly.
Several shinobi tried to resist using Earth Style, but the tornadoes were far beyond the power of normal earth walls or rock barriers.
Even rocks more than ten meters thick were instantly shredded into dust and swept into the sky.
Let alone human bodies.
Some ninjas tried escaping underground using Earth Style.
It didn't help.
The violent air currents churned the very land, digging deep into the earth and tearing apart the terrain. No one could survive under such absolute power.
Soaring above the battlefield, Rei danced among the clouds like a dragon of legend.
His eyes locked onto the commander of the Iwagakure forces—Huangtu.
He slowly opened his mouth.
A dazzling red beam of flame burst out, splitting the sky and slicing straight toward the battlefield!
"Flame Breath!"
The difference between the Flame Breath of his human-beast form and that of his full beast form was like night and day.
Huangtu, who was struggling to protect his comrades from the tornadoes, suddenly felt an overwhelming heat.
His vision filled with searing crimson flames.
Desperately, he summoned a towering wall of earth to block the attack.
But this time, his defense wasn't enough.
The terrifying heat, thousands of degrees in temperature, instantly melted the stone wall he had conjured.
The flames engulfed him, hurling his body across the entire battlefield.
He finally smashed into the rocky mountain across from the Kannabi Bridge.
BOOM!!
A blazing explosion lit up the opposite mountainside. Even the ancient, unshakable mountain cracked and crumbled under Rei's devastating attack.
Floating weightlessly in the sky, Rei felt the power radiating from his colossal form.
He rode a cloud of flame across the battlefield toward the Kannabi Bridge.
His mane whipped in the wind.
The compressed air around him twisted violently, forming countless sharp air blades at his mouth.
These Kaido-inspired techniques, amplified by Sage Chakra, were stronger than ever.
"Sage Art: Great Gale Howl!"
Massive wind blades—dozens of meters long—poured down like a deadly rainstorm.
Though the Kannabi Bridge was made of solid stone, it couldn't withstand the onslaught.
Each wind blade carved a deep gash into the bridge's structure.
Thousands of such blades fell.
A devastating storm tore through the air, and chunks of stone crumbled from the bridge.
Finally, with a thunderous crack, the legendary Kannabi Bridge—standing for decades—collapsed completely.
This marked a critical victory for Konoha's forces on the battlefield.
High above, Rei continued to fly through the clouds.
As agreed beforehand, Minato and the others had already launched their full-scale assault on the Iwagakure forces.
With the Kannabi Bridge destroyed by Rei, the Rock Shinobi were now isolated.
No reinforcements could reach them anytime soon.
That meant they were down to only 3,000 troops.
Even after leaving behind guards and prisoners, Konoha still had around 4,500 shinobi in the field.
They now had a clear numerical advantage.
Minato, using his unmatched speed, zipped across the battlefield, eliminating enemy Elite Jōnin one after another.
The tide of battle turned overwhelmingly in Konoha's favor.
"I wonder how Mr. Rei is doing," someone muttered.
The Kakashi team, now hardened by battle, had gained significant experience from the war.
The youthful naïveté was gone from their faces—replaced by steely resolve.
Kakashi didn't even glance at Obito.
"Don't worry," he said calmly. "Even if we all die a hundred times, Mr. Rei will still be fine."
Obito scowled. "You dead-fish-eyed bastard... once this battle is over, I'm challenging you!"
Just as they were about to start arguing again—
Rin pointed ahead.
"Hey... look! What's that in the sky?"
