Chapter 9: **Chapter 9: Happy Wood Release!**
After releasing the barrier, Tsunade looked at her disciple with interest.
Reiki's abilities surprised Tsunade.
Whether it was his talent and hard work in medical ninjutsu, his decisiveness in fighting, or his grasp of opportunity, he embodied qualities Tsunade valued. The disciple of Tsunade could not be someone who only knew medical ninjutsu.
"Evil haunted!"
While Tsunade was thinking, Reiki summoned the evil spirit with a thought.
In an instant, a terrifying super-dangerous figure emerged from behind Reiki. That ferocious aura made Tsunade subconsciously release chakra, ready to take action. But a moment later, the terrifying dangerous species turned into armor and covered Reiki's body.
The dangerous species appeared briefly to customize the armor to Reiki's figure. Once adjusted, it would not appear again. The long sword in his hand transformed into a spear with silver armor and a red cloak—short but intimidating.
"This is... a special blade?" Feeling the haunting aura of the evil spirit, Tsunade was stunned for a moment before asking slowly.
"Yes, teacher, this is what my parents left for me."
"However, I don't know the source."
After Reiki finished speaking, he dismissed the evil spirit. Using it consumed chakra, and if depleted, it would draw from his life force to replenish energy.
After Tsunade lifted the barrier, she leaned in and whispered a few words to Reiki, then took him with her as they left.

Inside the Hokage's office, Sarutobi Hiruzen watched the battle between Reiki and Asuma in the crystal ball. His forehead veins popped out, and his expression turned grim. Asuma had taken ANBU to trouble Reiki, and not only was his pride not restored, but he was beaten again. Despite his usual mild demeanor, Sarutobi took his family's honor seriously.
"Hokage-sama, there is no need to get so angry about children's matters," Danzo commented, suppressing a smirk. "After Shinnosuke returns from his mission this time, our plan can continue to advance."
"Yes. But keep an eye on the Uchiha," Sarutobi said, shifting his thoughts. "Also, Uchiha Shisui seems promising. His loyalty to the village and Will of Fire are strong—it's time to start recruiting him."
Sarutobi Hiruzen then redirected his attention. Asuma's scuffle was a child's quarrel, not worth interfering in, and more pressing matters awaited. "Ensure that Orochimaru and Shinnosuke overshadow Sakumo on the battlefield," he instructed Danzo. "Otherwise..."
Danzo was still concerned. Hatake Sakumo's stellar performance in the war had led to murmurs that he might be the next Hokage—a sentiment stirred by those eager to flatter. Danzo, knowing this sentiment would weaken his own position, acknowledged the orders and disappeared into the shadows.

The next day, at the Senju Clan...
"It may hurt a little, Brother Nawaki, but try to hold on," Reiki said calmly, looking at Nawaki, who lay on the bed.
"It's alright," Nawaki replied, his attitude toward Reiki markedly changed. Over the past two days, he had witnessed Reiki's dedication to treating injured patients in the hospital, seeing firsthand his clear, serious approach. Nawaki was beginning to respect Reiki as an excellent medical ninja and an honorable person, influenced by his sister's endorsement.
"Holy hands!" Reiki placed his hand on Nawaki's body, and a red brilliance surged, drawing out a mist of purple toxins from Nawaki's body. Observing this, Tsunade's expression darkened—she could only imagine who might have poisoned her younger brother while she was away fighting. The anger within her simmered, and her faith in the village's "Will of Fire" waned.
"Teacher, help!" Reiki's voice broke through her anger. The difficulty of the process was evident as he struggled to contain the toxins, now suspended in the air. Without chakra to shield himself, Reiki risked being poisoned.
Tsunade quickly stepped forward. "Healing technique." She formed seals, releasing chakra to contain and neutralize the toxic mist.
Half an hour later, Reiki sat on the ground, exhausted and covered in sweat. "Teacher, it's done. The toxins in Brother Nawaki's body and the damaged meridians are repaired."
As the system beeped, Reiki felt a surge of vitality flow through him, restoring his strength and granting him a newfound ability—Wood Release.
"Are you alright?" Tsunade, instead of checking Nawaki, helped Reiki up, scanning him with concern. Noticing his strong life force, she found his energy levels surprisingly robust.
"I'm fine, but let's look at Brother Nawaki first," Reiki said, diverting her attention to her brother.
Tsunade nodded and moved over to check Nawaki. Just as Reiki said, he was slightly weakened but stable, with his meridians fully repaired. With proper recuperation, Nawaki would recover completely.
---
With Nawaki's treatment complete, Tsunade handed him over to Reiki and left the Senju compound, visibly angry. The following day, the Hokage's office building was found in disarray, under urgent repairs. Word spread that Tsunade had given it a destructive visit.
Her stay was extended by two days to ensure Nawaki's health, but it was during these two days that fate altered.
---
Early the next morning, an ANBU ninja appeared in a hurry before Tsunade.
"White Fang's mission failed, and the frontlines are in turmoil," he reported, his voice laced with urgency.
Tsunade put down the medicine in her hand, her eyes hardening, and immediately headed to the Hokage's office.
