NBA:GIANT KILLING

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: I Can Fly

An experience card?

Peak Allen Iverson?

Oliver was slightly stunned.

It was one thing to be returned to the past, but he even got a system with it!

This was like a fantasy novel come true!

But…

What does this experience card mean?

Focusing on that thought, the information was suddenly downloaded in his brain.

'That's a bit disorienting…'

Experience cards contain skills, qualities or even templates of NBA players. For a specific duration, Oliver will be able to 'experience' what's it like to be a peak player.

For example, with the Peak Allen Iverson Template card, Oliver will be able to acquire all of Iverson's qualities for a specific period.

Even better, he will be able to retain a percentage of the AI's abilities after the duration ended.

He can even aquire more cards in the future!

After knowing this, Oliver understood.

So, this experience card was essentially letting him directly feel what it was like to have peak skills!

This was amazing news!

If he could acquire the Magic McGrady template, Lakers' Kobe, or even the Jordan template…

What kind of level would he reach then?

This was entirely game changing!

Oliver smiled slightly and looked at Gorin on the court. His gaze had already changed.

He said calmly, "Are you ready to get crossed up?"

Hearing this, Gorin immediately laughed.

He couldn't hold it in—it was like he was hearing the funniest joke.

"Cross me up? Are you dreaming?"

Oliver didn't respond to Gorin's words, but the people around them started talking:

"What just happened? He froze for a minute there and then seemingly got newfound confidence."

"Gorin, hurry up and finish him."

"He really shouldn't provoke Gorin more, he might do something rash.."

Gorin smiled and said, "You know what, you're gonna regret that."

At this point, Oliver wasn't worried anymore.

Even the crowd can see the change in his temperament.

Yes, Gorin was taller and physically stronger than him, but he had AI's abilities.

And AI could beat this man in his sleep.

Allen "The Answer" Iverson, or AI, was one of the best offensive players to ever play the game. His handles were second to none, and his finishing was a privilege to watch. Even if he failed to win a ring, his influence on the game will forever be remembered by generations to come.

Having that legend's skillet is more than enough for Oliver to play with this guy.

So, instead of worry, all he felt was excitement.

'This is gonna be fun!'

It was clear that the Aina University coach really had no intention of giving Oliver a chance—not even as a backup.

It was obvious from his height.

Furthermore, he also witnessed the one-sided massacre that went on for a while.

Honestly, it was getting painful to watch and he was just about to call for a stoppage. Yet, he saw the change that suddenly occured. He was intrigued by the kid's change in mood.

The Aina University coach looked more interested, and Gorin was eager to regain control.

He said to Oliver, "Bring it on, kid."

The people around them echoed their growing excitement, shouting:

"Finish him! "

"We want more!"

"The video is still ongoing!"

"Yeah, make me famous!"

"He's got no hops—how does he plan to cross Gorin?"

"Facing Gorin is an overkill. Even I could lock this guy down."

"For real, Gorin was a four-star high school player. This is total domination!"

"He actually thinks he can cross Gorin? Dream on!"

"This is pure annihilation—he's gonna get blocked so hard!"

Gorin's teammates were excited, looking around.

"Man, I can't believe this is drawing such a crowd!"

"Are we about to get famous on campus?"

"We might actually have to thank this clueless kid!"

Meanwhile, Gorin and Oliver were ready to face off.

It was obvious that Gorin had a much larger defensive coverage than Oliver.

He spread his arms wide, completely blocking Oliver's path.

In this situation, Gorin could fully shut down any direction Oliver tried to break toward.

He figured Oliver would likely settle for a jumper.

So, Gorin focused his defense on contesting Oliver's shot.

However…

Gorin never expected that, despite his intimidating defensive stance—

Oliver actually went for a drive.

Gorin immediately lowered his defensive stance.

At that moment, Oliver shifted his weight slightly to the right.

Seeing this, Gorin got excited.

'Seriously?'

'His move is so obvious, I'm gonna give the people a great show!'

Gorin stepped to the right to block Oliver's move.

He also considered the possibility of a crossover but wasn't worried at all—his speed completely outmatched Oliver's.

So, Gorin wasn't even concerned.

But…

What he didn't know was that Oliver, now fused with Peak Iverson's template, had a crossover speed he could never imagine!

It was seamless.

It felt so natural.

It was poetic, even.

A perfectly executed fake move—an ultra-wide crossover!

Almost the moment Gorin shifted his weight—

Oliver switched directions!!!

"Woosh!"

Gorin only heard the sound of wind rushing past his ears.

Then, out of nowhere, a figure appeared beside him…!

'What the hell!?'

'How is he this fast!'

In an instant, Gorin couldn't believe how quick Oliver had become.

He desperately tried to recover, but—

His weight was still shifting.

And because of that—

He completely lost balance.

In just a second…

Gorin was crossed up and dropped to the ground!

Yet Oliver didn't even spare him a glance…

With a right-handed scoop, he took off with one foot—

Slam dunk!

"BANG!!"

The entire crowd was stunned…

There was a sudden lull in the court.

Only a faint whisper could be heard...

"Did that really just happen?"

And then…

"WOAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

After a moment, everyone completely lost it!

Even the Aina University coach was momentarily shocked, standing up excitedly.

"This… This guy just flew!"

Everyone was in disbelief over Oliver's crossover speed and his unbelievable vertical.

Despite that amazing sequence, the culprit didn't even celebrate or bat an eye!

Oliver knew—this wasn't even his capability yet.

Gorin, feeling humiliated, angrily slapped his thigh and stood up, fuming:

"Damn it!! Again!!!!"

With a calm smile, Oliver replied;

"With pleasure."
