When a cultivator attempts to ascend to the Heavenly Realm, the Ascension Tribulation Cloud appears and releases nine lightning strikes, each more powerful than the last.

Each Lightning Strike tests the cultivator's body, soul, and willpower, pushing them to their absolute limits. Surviving all nine signifies their worthiness to ascend, while failure results in dire consequences.

However, Draven and his wife only survived eight Lightning Strikes each and Sylvan was already happy, celebrating that they were successfully in their ascension.

'Is this it? Did they survive the Ascension Tribulation just like that?'

Ajax knew why Sylvan was celebrating as he already learnt from Sylvan that the seemingly powerful last lightning strike was the easiest one to deal with compared to the eighth lightning strike.

According to what he heard about the Ascension Tribulation, it was very dangerous and the chances of surviving were less than one percent.

However, from what he had witnessed so far, Ajax didn't feel the Ascension Tribulation was not that dangerous.

"Ajax, you might think the ascension tribulation is easy, right?"

Sensing Ajax's thoughts, the two Dragon Brothers, Brightscale and Darkscale smiled a little.

"Ye….no."

Unconsciously, Ajax was about to say 'Yes'; however, he knew it was not the right thing to say when Uncle Draven and his Wife risked their lives enduring the eight pairs of Lightning Strikes.

"There is no need to lie about it."

Darkscale shook his head as Brightscale started explaining some things that Ajax hadn't considered before.

"Do you know how powerful Lord Jade and his wife are?"

"They were born with the most powerful defensive innate body constitution, the Heavenly Jade Body."

"Most importantly, they have been tempering their bodies for more than 10000 years with more than 40 Sentient Flames while exploring hundreds of Secret Realms."

"From the outside, it seemed the Ascension Tribulation they just went through might be easy; however, are those Lightning Strikes just as powerful as they seem?"

"We are thousands of kilometers away from the place the Lord and his wife are undergoing their tribulation and how exactly did you gauge the strength of those lightning strikes?"

Both brothers started telling so many things, making Ajax a bit embarrassed because all the points they said were 100 percent accurate.

"There is something you should know."

Suddenly, Sylvan, who was celebrating the almost successful completion of Draven's and his wife's ascension tribulation, spoke.

"The Ascension Tribulation this time was a bit weaker than the regular Ascension Tribulations I witnessed in the past."

"What?"

Now, it was Brightscale and Darksale's turn to get surprised to hear Sylvan's words.

Sylvan was the oldest dragon in the entire Dragon Region and he was lucky to witness the Ascension Tribulation of some powerful cultivators in the past.

Although he was not sure of exactly how weak the Ascension Tribulation was compared to the last one he had seen more than 10,000 years ago, Sylvan was sure that today's Ascension Tribulation was definitely weaker than the past one.

Although the brothers didn't want to agree with Sylvan's words, they knew about Sylvan who only speaks when he is sure about what he is speaking.

Moreover, he was like a half-teacher to them who helped them in awakening some of their powerful skills.

So, they decided to believe Sylvan's words.

"If I guess the reason behind the lack of power in the Lightning Strikes compared to the past is…."

"Is it because it's been so long since someone from this universe ascended to the Heavenly Realm?"

As Sylvan was about to say his guess, Brightscale finished Sylvan's words, hoping that his guess was right.

"You are right. I think it was one of the reasons."

Sylvan looked at Brightscale who was good with brains and nodded his head.

"So, in the future, when we trigger the Ascension Tribulation, will it be more powerful than what we have seen now?"

On the other hand, Darkscale seemed to be a bit afraid, only to get a smack on the back of his head by Sylvan.

"When was cultivation ever easy?"

Sylvan shakes his head at Darkscale who looks brave on the surface; however, gets worried easily.

"What about the other reason?"

As for Ajax, he asked Sylvan about the other reasons because he guessed that Sylvan had other guesses regarding the decrease in the intensity of the Lightning Strikes released by the Ascension Tribulation Cloud.

"My other guess is….their ascension to the Heavenly Realm as a couple might have decreased the severity of the Ascension Tribulation."

Sylvan words made everyone fall into silence as they started thinking about Sylvan's second guess.

The second guess really might have something to do with the ascension tribulation.

Although the Heavens like to test the cultivators, it has some spots when it comes to familial affairs.

One of the reasons why the system wanted its host to ascend to the Heavenly Realm as soon as possible is because the Heavens don't want the young geniuses to fall amidst the ascension process.

As Ajax was thinking about Sylvan's second guess, a series of system notifications rang in Ajax's head, making him shocked.

So far, he has always heard things like 'Heavens are cold and cruel', 'Heavens are blind' and so on.

Hence, when Ajax heard things that were opposite to what his brain was tuned to, he could not help but be shocked.

'So, there are ways to decrease the intensity of the Ascension Tribulation.'

Soon, the shocked look on his face turned into an excited one as Ajax wanted to use this loophole to help all his subordinates and contracted spirit beasts to increase their chances of ascending to the Heavenly Realm.

"Uncle Sylvan, I think your second guess might have decreased the intensity of the Ascension Tribulation."

After getting the confirmation from the system, Ajax stated his agreement with Uncle Sylvan.

"So, if we find a companion and ascend together, our chances of ascending to the Heavenly Realm are much higher than ascending as an individual."
