Nexus: All-Heaven System

Chapter 6: Gate Station

"This planet alone is so massive... I can't even begin to imagine the scale of this galaxy's solar system," Lin Xuanyu muttered, his eyes fixed on the night sky.

Several planets shimmered in the distance, but one stood out among them—a colossal green planet with a brilliant ring encircling it.

That was Aurora, the main planet around which smaller satellite planets, including the one he was currently on, revolved.

This world was unimaginably vast.

Sitting on a bench in a park on this small satellite planet, Lin Xuanyu felt an overwhelming sense of insignificance.

Exactly 8 planets orbited Aurora, each boasting a population of at least 7 billion or more.

Aurora itself acted as a stabilizing force for the planetary system, which in turn orbited the sun.

Within this solar system alone, there were eight other planetary systems, each interconnected yet staggeringly immense.

"This scale… It's almost beyond comprehension," Lin Xuanyu thought.

The park was conveniently located near a Teleportation Facility, where he had just retrieved his new wallet device from.

Lia, the AI from his previous residence, had successfully migrated from the old PC in his apartment to the wallet.

For now, Lia would have to reside in the wallet, as fusing her back into his mind required the resources of the CA Business Enterprise. Reaching out to them, however, wasn't an option for him—not yet.

That matter aside, Lin Xuanyu had another plan in mind.

He intended to enter the Dimensional Gates, eliminate the monsters inside it, and bring their monster core back to sell for Cosmic Credits.

With the credits, he could purchase Energy Gathering Pills, refine them with his Evolution Points (EP), and accelerate his cultivation progress.

He earned 5 EP today and with the 1 left from yesterday had a total of 6 EP.

Aside from cultivation, Lin Xuanyu also had his sights set on acquiring some magic techniques.

Now that he had reached the fourth meridian of the Transition Realm, he could finally erupt the energy within his body into the real world. That means—he could begin using talismans and Rune Manifestation techniques.

However, these techniques weren't cheap; purchasing them would undoubtedly require a significant amount of Cosmic Credits.

There were Dimensional Gates scattered across nearly every corner of the Main world, especially on smaller satellite planets like this one.

As for their origin, Lia had explained it to Lin Xuanyu: these gates were pathways created by demons from another world to invade ours.

The demons would bridge the gap between worlds, planting seeds into the gate.

Over time, these seeds would grow into monsters. If left unchecked, these creatures would eventually cross over, wreaking havoc and destruction upon this world.

This world was already very big and there was now another world that's trying to invade it.

It honestly made him speechless.

In any case, the plan right now was simple:

Kill monsters in the gate -> Get money -> Get pills -> Refine them -> Sell one and make more money -> Buy magic techniques and Repeat.

And hopefully through this method he will be able to progress through stages more quickly.

As Lin Xuanyu was lost in thought, the wallet on his hand flashed briefly before Lia's emotionless, mechanical voice echoed from it:

[The Level 1 Dimensional Gate will open in 15 minutes. Head to the Dimensional Gate Station to scan your ticket and enter before time expires.]

Hearing this, Lin Xuanyu stood up from the park bench and began walking toward the teleportation portal located at the center of the park.

He was wearing a white t-shirt with a black trench coat over it, paired with black pants. At his waist was the longsword that had been sitting in his apartment closet.

Upon closer inspection, he realized it was no ordinary sword. The Evolution System had even given it a high rating.

Since that were the case, he most definitely had to use it.

After he approached the teleportation platform, Lin Xuanyu stepped inside without hesitation.

The device wasn't anything special—unlike the overcomplicated setups he had seen in movies or novels back in his old world. Here, teleportation was fast and efficient.

Of course, Lin Xuanyu wasn't the only one at the Teleportation platform.

People were constantly entering and exiting the area, making the platform feel bustling and alive.

The space of the platform was massive, and because of that, just stepping into its area of effect was enough to trigger teleportation. The entire platform was part of a vast network that connected to different teleportation hubs across the planet.

The process of teleportation required minimal input. All he had to do was enter the device, and the personal AI would handle everything, from destination input to verification.

"Young Master Lin, I've already entered the coordinates for the Gate Station," Lia's voice rang out from the wallet. "Be prepared for the jump!"

A moment later, his vision blurred, followed by a brief sensation of weightlessness. When his sight cleared, he found himself standing at the bustling Dimensional Gate Station.

"Looking for a party of four to clear the newly opened gate!"

"Monster materials for sale!"

"Looking for a Late-Stage Transition realm cultivator with Wood Rune manifestation expertise!"

The area was teeming with activity.

Cultivators of this planet moved about with urgency, some scanning tickets to enter the gates, while others browsed the numerous stalls and shops lining the station.

Merchants displayed their wares—equipment, talismans, potions, and even raw materials harvested from within the gates.

Despite the large crowd, the Dimensional Gates within the station appeared relatively small in size—at least from the outside. However, this was merely the entrance to an expansive world within. Even a Level 1 Dimensional Gate contained a space as vast as a massive city.

This crowd wouldn't even come close to filling the vast world inside the gate.

Of course, the vastness of the space inside the gate wasn't without reason.

It served as the breeding ground for monsters, each one carefully selected and nurtured by the demons of another world.

These creatures weren't ordinary—they were purposefully designed to grow stronger and adapt to this realm's environment, ensuring they could wreak maximum havoc upon crossing over.

To accommodate such a process, the gates had to be huge, functioning almost like entire ecosystems dedicated to preparing these monsters for invasion.

As for why the demons were so intent on invading this world, Lia explained that it was due to the ambitions of the overbearing Monarch of the Demon World.

He enjoyed taking over other worlds, and now he was targeting this one. However, since both worlds had equal power, neither side could secure a decisive victory, and so the fight continued on, an endless struggle for dominance.

By the time he was finished with his thoughts, Lin Xuanyu found himself at the ticket inspection booth. The station had several booths, and the one he chose happened to be empty. Only after he arrived did two people line up behind him.

"Welcome to the Gate Station, Cultivator," said the lady at the booth, clearly an AI. "Please scan your ticket here."

She pointed to the scanner next to the booth.

Tickets were mandatory to enter the gates. They could be obtained through the official Gate Station website. The tickets were free and didn't require money; their purpose was to regulate and record who entered and exited the gates.

It was a strict rule, and Lin Xuanyu had to follow it, just like everyone else.

He nodded and held his wallet up to the scanner.

"The scan is successful, Cultivator," the AI lady said. "Please proceed forward."

The gate, resembling a metro station turnstile, opened, allowing him to pass through.

After passing through the turnstile, Lin Xuanyu slowly walked toward the gate, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

There were all kinds of people here, each preparing to venture into the gates, hoping to make a living from the dangers within.

Of course, some came for training, treating these gates as common grounds for honing their skills.

Gates had become a standard training ground for talented individuals and a testing site for researchers.

In fact, Lin Xuanyu had briefly read an article about the CA Business Enterprise, after countless research efforts, recreating a gate similar to those of the demon realm.

It would be downright hilarious if the Cosmic Alliance ended up using the same gate tactics as the demon realm.

Two types of gates, each filled with monsters, each trying to tear apart the other's world using the exact same method.

After a bit of walking, Lin Xuanyu finally reached his destination—a Level 1 gate.

The gate was busy, with people constantly coming in and out.

Most of those leaving had broken armor or were carrying injured companions.

As for Lin Xuanyu, he was without any armor.

The simple truth was, he couldn't afford one at the moment.

If armor were handed out for free, he'd gladly take it, but that wasn't the case.

Even the lowest tier of armor cost 100 cosmic credits.

Besides, with his spiritual perception, he didn't really need one.

With that in mind, Lin Xuanyu walked confidently into the Level 1 gate, his expression one of excitement.
