What fuckin' rabbit decided to name himself Frank? And why was he so strong?!

Well, strong in comparison to the other rabbits around him.

Gray idly flicked his finger as a rabbit burst upwards at him. The rabbit didn't even get halfway to him before the bullet ripped through his chest and he was sent plummeting back into the partially destroyed road below.

Gray then flicked his arm to the side, pointing his finger gun directly at where he sensed Carrot was. He couldn't actually see him - the flood of rabbits hadn't ended, and there were now seemingly thousands of bunny gangsters filling the block.

Carrot's strategy wasn't bad - Gray would've been working overtime trying to keep the rabbits off of him, and that would've given Carrot a chance to touch him. 

Unfortunately for Carrot, Gray wasn't alone.

"Pathetic," Piccolo spit out next to him, the Namekian holding up both his hands as he fired twin Ki beams down into the swarm of rabbits. They tore through them like butter, sending burnt corpses flying in every direction. 

On Gray's other side, Tien didn't let out any remark, simply firing a flurry of Ki balls downwards.

It'll be hard to get a shot off. We might really have to kill all of them before we can get to Carrot.

Gray raised one palm above his head, and a volley of Ki blasts formed above him. His other hand flicked as a Ki bullet fired towards Carrot.

It didn't reach him, as there were not only more than a few rabbits blocking Carrot from view, but even more seemingly suicidal rabbits appeared as they leaped forward to take the bullet for their leader.

Annoying.

Gray flicked his other hand down, sending his volley of Ki balls into the crowd of rabbits. A new flurry of notifications popped up as hundreds of rabbits were caught in the explosion.

"We'll be here all day," Tien grunted, the three-eyed man sending another flurry of Ki blasts into the ever-changing army of rabbits. 

"Stop complaining," Piccolo fired back gruffly, "It could be worse. We're just cleaning them up."

"No, I agree, actually," Gray hummed, "The longer we take, the more chance Carrot has to think up a way to get away. Or, worse, find a way to sneak up on us. We're losing the element of surprise with every passing second. You both can track his energy, right?"

Both Piccolo and Tien simply nodded in reply to his words, and Gray continued, "Keep track of him. Make sure he doesn't sneak up on us, and I'll deal with the rest of them."

"...Sure," Tien said simply, looking doubtful at Gray's words. 

Gray closed his eyes for a moment, pulling back his senses as he stopped splitting his attention. He was versed enough in controlling his Ki to be able to keep track of Carrot while also fending off the rabbits, but what he had planned took a bit more focus.

I'm about to look like a total idiot doing this.

Gray raised his hands, and tens of Ki balls appeared above his head. However, he didn't send them hurtling down immediately. Instead, he tensed his arms, his forehead wrinkling in tension as he willed more Ki orbs to appear.

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, slowly, one by one, more floating orbs of destruction appeared above him. They multiplied, the balls rising from tens to nearly a hundred. 

Gray opened his eyes, ready to send the Ki array hurtling downwards, when he was greeted with a notification.

[Ki Array LVL 8] has evolved!

[Ki Array LVL 8] has evolved into [Ki Barrage LVL 8]!

Gray stopped for a moment, blinking as he stared at the notification.

It can do that? My skills can evolve?

Nothing had ever explicitly told Gray that his skills couldn't evolve, but nothing had told him that they could either… so he just assumed they couldn't.

Granted, the game never told me that my body could evolve either, so fuck do I know?

Gray didn't waste any more time. He flicked his palms downward, and they rained down onto the rabbits swarming upwards into the sky at them. 

Then, before the Ki balls even made contact, he raised his arms again. The amount of Ki balls in the air doubled as another barrage formed. He flicked his palms down again, and the rain of carnage continued.

All around him, tens - no, hundreds - hell, maybe even thousands of notifications flooded in. Rabbit after rabbit was torn apart by the lightning-fast Ki blasts, none the wiser of their impending doom as they desperately charged into the sky toward the floating trio.

Gray ignored the notifications and merely flicked his arms up and down as more and more Ki blasts hurtled into the city block.

"That's… one way to handle it," Tien grunted, watching with a slightly impressed face as the world was set alight, the sky shining as the explosions lit it up. Smoke flung up around, blocking everyone in the vicinity's view as it was plunged into darkness.

"He's coming," Piccolo said abruptly, and Gray stopped in his tracks. He spun around, reaching out his senses and locking onto Carrot's signature. 

That's the best he could come up with?

Carrot had apparently decided that the best course of action was to get as close to the trio as possible before he revealed himself - meaning he was now on top of one of the few remaining buildings in the area.

The rabbit was already on the way up, shooting upwards from the roof and crossing the gap rapidly.

He's fast.

If Gray had been alone, he might've been caught off guard and not been able to react in time. Instead, he simply raised his hand, forming a finger gun as he fired a machine gun of bullets down at him.

Carrot swerved mid-air, dodging through the bullets, but then grimaced as one cut through his shoulder.

Despite the blood flowing down his shoulder, Carrot didn't let up. He continued blasting forward, his white form shooting through the smoke at the trio.

"Split up," Gray ordered quickly, and Tien and Piccolo didn't need to be told twice. They both shot off in opposite directions, and Gray tensed his body as he shot backward through the smoke.

A mere second after Gray's body disappeared, Carrot arrived where he had been. The rabbit's palm thrust forward into the smoke but didn't connect with anything. He paused for a second, his beady eyes glancing around rapidly as he searched for any sign of them.

Can he sense energy?

Gray's question was quickly answered, as Carrot's eyes snapped through the smoke and stared directly at him. He shot forward again, and Gray grunted as he shot to the right, not wanting to be anywhere near the rabbit.

He's going for me, huh? That's the worst option. 

Carrot burst past where he had been again, the rabbit not giving up as he launched forward again, chasing Gray through the sky. In response, Gray simply cupped his hands at his side.

This would be a lot easier if he was chasing Tien or Piccolo.

Slowly, a ball of black Ki formed in his palms. He kept his hands close to his side, hoping that Carrot wouldn't notice his building attack, but it was expecting too much. The rabbit could sense the energy, and he seemed to get more frantic as he sped up behind Gray.

"Fight me, you coward!" Carrot goaded, blasting through the air with renewed vigor.

As if, moron. Even if I beat your ass, I lose just through touching you.

Gray didn't answer verbally, instead continuing to stream through the air as he shot away from Carrot. In his palms, the ball of black energy continued to grow, starting to pulsate within his palms. The air around him was electrified, and Gray's hands started to move in circles.

I need to take him out in one shot.

"You little…" Carrot muttered behind him, and Gray didn't see the rabbit stop mid-air, his entire body stiffening, "[As Quick as a Rabbit!]"

The ball started to spin, but Gray lost focus as he grunted abruptly, stopping in his tracks and ducking as something soared over his head. He was forced to dodge again instantly, as Carrot zipped through the air, his hand barely missing grabbing Gray's arm.

Fuckin' bullshit ass boss moves.

Carrot had become far faster than before, zipping through the air with unbelievable agility. It didn't seem possible with his large frame, but the rabbit was strangely aerodynamic as he desperately swiped at Gray.

Unfortunately, even with his new move, he was too slow. 

Damn, am I glad I went into the pendulum room.

Gray continued to dodge - leaning, ducking, flying, and doing everything possible to avoid getting touched by the rabbit's paw.

If I was even a bit slower, I'd be a carrot right now.

The massive power level difference between Gray and Carrot, being nearly 2 billion, was the only thing preventing Gray was being caught.

I have a two billion power level lead, and it's still only barely enough? Fucking Nightmare Mode.

The skin of Gray's palms started to break, blood flowing down his hands and swirling into the ball of power in his hands. He ignored the pain, doing everything he could to continue evading the rabbit mid-air.

Are those two just sitting on their ass's?

Gray's thoughts were answered as a Ki beam shot between Gray and Carrot, giving him a moment to create space. 

"Did you forget about me?" Piccolo asked simply, and then suddenly jerked his head back. Carrot shot past him in a blur, the rabbit barely missing his face as his palm swiped at nothing.

"W-What…" Piccolo trailed off, shooting backward. He was clearly surprised at Carrot's insane speed, and Gray couldn't blame him.

He's trained solely for speed. Makes sense, considering he doesn't need to knock anyone out with a punch. He just needs to touch you.

"Piccolo! Up here!" Tien shouted, floating a couple hundred feet above the Namekian. Piccolo nodded, shooting upwards toward him and away from Carrot. 

However, Carrot seemed happy about this decision if anything, "Thanks for grouping up for me! [Rabbit's Foot!]"

Carrot's legs tensed, his feet seemingly vibrating in the air. They moved back and forth so quickly that the air around them seemed to vibrate, and then, suddenly, Carrot was gone. Where he had been floating was now nothing but an empty space.

"I'll have you two as a snack," Carrot spoke, the rabbit now mere inches from Tien and Piccolo. The duo spun around as Carrot raised his hands, and then…

Smirked.

"Dumbass," Piccolo chuckled, shooting to one side. To his side, Tien shot the other way, separating in opposite directions. As they did, they no longer blocked Carrot's view of what was streaming towards them.

"W-What?" Carrot spit out, tensing his legs as he suddenly saw the trap. Blasting through the air toward him was a pitch-black, spinning ball of power. The air around the ball was sucked into it like a vortex, and Carrot's eyes went wide as he saw it.

"[Rabbit's Fo- 

"[Kokuyo]!" Carrot didn't even have time to process what happened. In a single instant, Gray appeared behind him, his hands cupped again. He thrust his palms forward, sending a black beam of Ki point-blank into Carrot's back.

175,500! (989,798/1,290,298)

Carrot's entire body was flung forward, the blast sending him hurtling towards the ground. And, more specifically, towards the spinning vortex that was Gray's previous attack: The [Ankoku Rasen].

Carrot's eyes went wide with terror as he was slammed forward, being sandwiched between the two attacks.

290,700! (699,098/1,290,298)

Spit flew from his mouth as the [Ankoku Rasen] slammed into his stomach. For a split second, the rabbit was stock-still in the air, trapped between the two oppressive forces. Then, the stronger one won.

425,000! (274,098/1,290,298)

The weaker [Kokuyo] pressing him downward was overpowered, and the spinning vortex of black Ki below tore into his stomach. Blood and fur alike were wrapped up in it, his very flesh being torn away as he was flung upward. 

However, it was a testament to Carrot's strength that he didn't die there. Instead, he threw himself out of the way, letting the [Ankoku Rasen] continue past him into the sky. Eventually, it exploded, a wave of pure black Ki shooting outwards and plunging the day sky into pure night.

At this moment, Carrot realized he had no chance of winning. As blood flowed out of his stomach like a river, his feet started to vibrate again as he readied himself to run.

"[Rabbit's Fo- 

"Forgot about me?" Carrot didn't have the chance to process those words. In fact, he didn't have the chance to process anything, as a Ki bullet ripped through his brain from above.

"Good work," Piccolo grunted, both him and Tien floating back down to where Gray was. floating. Carrot's body flopped over in front of him, plummeting to the ground as blood rolled off him in waves.

"We make a pretty good team, huh?" Tien said begrudgingly, a small smirk appearing on his face.

'Good team' my ass. I fucking did everything!

"There's still a couple of small fries to deal with," Piccolo nodded, gesturing to the road, which was still filled with more than a couple of rabbits, most of which were staring in horror as their boss's body landed on the ground with a splat.

"You guys can handle them," Gray said dismissively, a grin forming on his face.

I have something more important to look at right now.
