No Game No Life: I am a Saint and a Sinner

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Interrogation and destruction of blood

"[This is Team 1 to Team 2. Ana, head to the location where you lived before. We'll meet up behind the waterfall there. Over.]"

"This is Team 2 to Team 1. I understand. Over.]"

Our journey was fairly easy, though the beastmen woke up several times. I simply knocked them out again.

After 2 hours and 24 minutes, we arrived at a waterfall. It's the first human tribe we encountered while recruiting subordinates.

There, we found Ana and her teammate.

"Ana, how was the range of the 2.0 communication device?" I asked Ana calmly.

Ana stood up straight and said, "This is Ana reporting. According to the control base, the range of the 2.0 communication device began decreasing and becoming intermittent at 16.3 kilometers from the control base. End of report."

"I understand. The scope is as expected. For now, let's enter your Ana tribe's former home. We need to interrogate these beastmen," I say as I drag three beastmen tied with chains.

Inside the cave, you can see 10 beastmen tied to the wall by their hands and feet. In front of the beastmen are six humans: three men, two women, and a little girl. They are Shiro and the exploration team.

"Chief, what information should we get from these beastmen?" Rober asked with some uncertainty.

"I'll take care of the interrogation. You can leave first," I say seriously.

Everyone looks at me with concern, and Theresia asks, "Chief, are you sure you want us to leave?" The others nodded in agreement.

"It's okay, these beastmen can't hurt me," she told everyone calmly.

The others nodded and left the cave for the outside.

I put the beastmen to sleep with sleep magic, a magic from the world of Fairy Tail.

And now I removed the effect from one of the beastmen. I see him slowly awaken.

The chains move violently, and the beastman begins to move.

I approach slowly, and in the beastmen and one of them, I cast paralysis magic. The beastman was paralyzed in an instant. I approach and remove his mask and hood. The beastman has black hair and black cat ears, sharp fangs, golden and emerald-green eyes, and a normal face that's not too handsome or ugly either.

"Hey, I have something to ask you, and I hope you'll cooperate with my questions."

"Who do you think you are, you damn hairless monkey? When you free me from these chains, I'm going to kill you and eat you piece by piece."

He spits out violet blood. Cough Cough Cough.

I punched him in the stomach so hard I made him spit out blood.

"First question, is Blood Destruction hereditary, or can any beastman awaken Blood Destruction?" I asked the beastman coldly.

"I told you, I won't talk even if you kill me," the beastman said, blood oozing from both corners of his mouth.

"You leave me no choice." I used Brainwashing Magic, causing the beastman to start talking.

"Tell me your name."

The beastman, with dull, hollow eyes, said, "My name is Kazuma."

"Tell me everything you know about the Beastmen's Blood Destruction, and if it's hereditary, or if any beastman can awaken it."

"Blood Destruction is an ability that few beastmen possess. Blood Destruction appears only once every 30 to 50 years, or it can even last for over 100 years without appearing. Blood Destruction isn't hereditary; any beastman can awaken Blood Destruction."

"But the proportion of beastmen who awaken Blood Destruction is usually 40% male and 60% female. Men are usually stronger than women when they awaken Blood Destruction."

"Blood Destruction awakens with a mental trigger; it can be a strong emotion, trauma, a strong desire for battle, or an important memory."

After hearing all the information I wanted, I rendered him unconscious with sleep magic. I asked other beastmen the same questions with brainwashing magic, and they gave me the same answers.

I'm pretty clear on one thing: Blood Destruction can only be passed on when a bloodline is pure enough.

After pretending to interrogate them for about two more hours, I left the cave and told my companions to go find the beastmen.

After an hour and a half of leading the beastmen to our base, we were right outside the entrance to our base.

"Chief, are you sure it's okay for us to bring the beastmen to our base?" Theresia asked cautiously.

"Don't worry, these beastmen won't do anything unnecessary," I told them in a calm and confident tone.

When we entered through the entrance to our previous base, there were some guards checking the situation.

They were a little scared to see 10 beastmen tied up and unconscious. I explained the situation and why I brought them here.

After entering the upper part of the village, we began to enter a tunnel with stairs leading down.

We walked about 250 meters down. Samuel and Olivia, my two assistants, were waiting for us.

Since they were the two in charge of the control base for the 2.0 communication devices, they were well informed that we would be bringing 10 beastmen for research.

Although none of them have any research talent, they can be quite useful in certain situations.

We took the 10 beastmen to the basement of my house. The basement of my house was a laboratory at least 50 meters long.

We put the beastmen in the lab and left them there in a corner.

Time passes quickly, and in the blink of an eye, two years have passed.

During these two years, I decided to advance technology at a very rapid pace. I also created a lot of advanced technology.

The technologies I created were diverse. I created all the common and civilian technology from my previous world, such as light bulbs, blenders, washing machines, and charcoal stoves (because, well, I haven't found the gas to make a gas stove). I practically created all the technology necessary for normal life in a house.

I also had four chances to choose a skill or anything else.

One of the technologies I obtained was from the world of (rakudai kishi no cavalry): the [IPS Capsules]. At one point, IPS Capsules were developed to heal and regenerate limbs and organs lost in combat. However, this is primarily intended for Blazers, not the general public, who usually resort to common, simple medical treatments. Therefore, the most serious wounds heal without leaving a scar.

It was quite a useful technology for real combat. As long as you have a breath of life, if you're put in the [IPS capsule], you can survive.

Something I also realized is that although people in this world are very intelligent in certain areas, such as forging, crafts, carpentry, assembling household appliances and technology, etc.

But they're not very intellectually intelligent, which is why I chose a skill from Merlin of the Fate world.

[Hero Creation (EX Rank)]: The techniques and arts for artificially giving birth and raising a "king." Merlin, who can be described as the true father of King Arthur, is known as the most prominent kingmaker in the world.

Although this skill is for creating a king, there are also techniques for giving people enhanced intellect.

The skill [Hero Creation (EX Rank)] also has a passive ability. The passive ability increases talent in the area the skill holder focuses on by at least 10 times if they focus on a single aspect, but if they focus on growth in all directions, it only increases talent by a maximum of 3 times.

For example, if I focus on teaching a group of people science and scientific or technological intelligence, those people will advance fairly quickly in those areas.

However, if I decide to teach several things at the same time, the passive effect will only increase talent by 3 times.

In just one year, I taught over 40 people as a professor; all of those people became researchers, and some more capable ones became my assistants.

One day, I realized the need for more powerful weapons when a scouting team didn't return alive, and the last transmission the base received was that they encountered a large group of demons, and their weapons couldn't penetrate the demons' bodies. They tried to escape, but they weren't fast enough compared to the demons.

So I decided that the next time I had a chance to choose a skill, I would use them to obtain the most powerful weapon creation method and something fast enough to escape.

And so I did. One of the weapons to create was this:

[Akame ga kill (Technology for creating the 48 pieces of teigu)]: A technique capable of creating various weapons with special materials from Serer known as super dangerous beasts. They are living weapons with no sentience, but can only be used by a compatible person.

[Shingeki no kyojin (Three-Dimensional Maneuvering Gear)]: The Three-Dimensional Maneuvering Gear, also known as MDD3D or EDM3D, is a mobility device based on propulsion and drag traction, used and invented by humans to move freely on almost any surface and at any angle, and even soar through the sky, albeit consuming much more gas than necessary.

Spatial Maneuvering Unit: It winds steel cables around a drum and has two independent axes, which allow the equipment to move.

Control Unit: Essentially, the control unit comprises the main trigger located on what would be the handle of the katana. Other small buttons are also located there. The configurations of these parts determine different sections of the device's operation.

Gas Tank: A tank filled with fuel that, when ignited, generates a gas that allows them to propel themselves while in the air.

Piston Shot: Used to deal with hooks and when you shoot, they stick into the intended target, making this equipment useful.

With these two skills, I created all the Teigus in [Akame ga Kill] and various [Three-Dimensional Maneuvering Equipment] with the help of the [Great Sage].

Thanks to the [Great Sage] and [Material Creation], the materials they are made of are nearly indestructible.

All Teigus have the same appearance as in the world of [Akame ga Kill], although finding the biological materials necessary for creating Teigus in the [Disboard] world was quite difficult. I had to send several [thought clones] to research beasts and monsters with characteristics similar to the biological materials needed for Teigus.

As for the [Three-Dimensional Maneuvering Equipment], the gas used is compressed in tanks. Well, let's just say I found an oil field just 500 meters from our mountain, and with the help of the [Great Sage], I created gas, and the [Great Sage] even bottled the compressed gas in tanks.

[Author's note: Information on how to make oil from Mr. Google.]

Oil Distillation:

In refineries, oil is heated and separated into its components, including gases like propane and butane, which are used as LP gas.

[End of author's note.]

In the underground laboratory of Shiro's house. The laboratory looks like a science fiction lab. White lights, white walls, blue lights like circuits on the walls, test tubes, a recovery capsule, a dozen glass tubes the size of two people in length and width filled with a light blue liquid.

Shiro, Olivia, and Samuel can be seen standing in front of a glass tube.

A beastman is in one of the glass tubes. He's the only beastman left alive. The other beastmen are in my stomach space. The [Great Sage] analyzed the genetic codes of the nine beastmen in my stomach.

The [Great Sage] discovered that within the genetic codes of each beastman, an incomplete, dormant gene was dormant.

But this gene was somewhat rare. Through in-depth analysis by the [Great Sage], because the gene seemed rare, it was discovered that if a beastwoman and a beastman have a dormant gene that complements each other and have a child, their child would awaken the Blood Destruction with just a little mental stimulation.

I only kept this beastman because I want humans to also have Blood Destruction, based on the genetic modification Mobius used in the MANTIS project.

But to activate Blood Destruction, not only a metal trigger is needed; you also need [spirit circuits] or a certain amount of spirits in the body.
