Not So Friendly Anymore

Chapter 32: Valentine’s Day Special

( Happy Valentine's Day everyone, just a little something that I wrote real quick to celebrate.)

(Hope you enjoy it and again, Happy Valentine's Day)

---

Valentine's Day dawned crisp and bright over New York City, the chill of winter softened by the warmth of affection in the air. Pink and red hues painted storefronts, and the streets were alive with couples walking hand in hand, laughter spilling out of cafés, and florists making their busiest sales of the year.

Peter Parker, for once, wasn't swinging through the city with vengeance on his mind or weighing the weight of the world on his shoulders. Today, he had a mission far more personal, and terrifying: taking Susan Storm and Silver Sable out on a Valentine's Day date. Juggling supervillains was one thing, but keeping two strong-willed women happy on the most romantic day of the year? Even the symbiote clinging to him seemed a bit nervous.

At Peter's Penthouse, KC, ever the dependable friend, grinned as he gathered Franklin and Valeria Richards. "Alright, you two geniuses, your parents have a day off from saving the world, and from you," he teased, ruffling Franklin's hair.

"You're really don't mind watching us while Dad takes Mom out?" Valeria asked, eyebrow raised.

"Hey, even your mom needs some fun. Besides, I'm your designated babysitter, and I promise we'll have way more fun than they will."

Franklin grinned. "Can we get ice cream for breakfast?"

KC smirked. "Kid, I like the way you think."

---

Meanwhile, across town...

Peter, dressed in a fitted black blazer, dark jeans, and his ever-charming crooked smile, waited outside a quaint French bistro. Susan arrived first, wearing an elegant navy-blue dress that shimmered in the morning light. Her blonde hair was tied back in a loose bun, and she greeted Peter with a soft kiss on the cheek.

"You're nervous," she teased, seeing Peter fidget.

"Me? Nervous? Nah... okay, maybe a little," Peter admitted. "Dating a member of the Fantastic Four and an international mercenary/queen on the same day? No pressure."

"Don't worry, Peter," Susan chuckled. "We'll go easy on you... maybe."

Moments later, Silver Sable appeared, clad in a sleek white coat over a fitted silver dress, her platinum hair framing her sharp, beautiful features. She took one look at Peter and Susan and smirked. "I see I'm not the only one who decided to make an impression."

Peter exhaled dramatically. "Okay, ladies, let's make a pact. No superpowers, no fighting crime today. Just... us."

Susan and Sable exchanged glances. "Deal," they said in unison.

---

The trio spent the morning walking through Central Park, sipping hot cocoa, and playfully teasing Peter about his awkward attempts at romance. Susan laughed as Peter recounted embarrassing stories from his early Spider-Man days, while Sable, surprisingly, revealed a more humorous side, sharing tales of missions gone hilariously wrong.

When Peter suggested ice skating, Susan eagerly agreed. Sable, however, raised an eyebrow. "Ice skating? You do remember I'm more comfortable with guns than ice skates, right?"

"Come on, Sable," Peter grinned. "If I can survive being thrown through buildings on the daily, you can survive a little ice."

It turned out, Sable was a natural, gracefully gliding across the rink, much to Peter's mock dismay. Susan, meanwhile, took great pleasure in 'accidentally' making Peter stumble.

---

Across town

KC and the (secretly) Parker kids were having their own adventure, arcades, pizza, and a questionable amount of candy. "So," KC asked, leaning back in the booth, "what's the verdict? Coolest babysitter ever, or coolest babysitter ever?"

Franklin laughed. "You're definitely cooler than Uncle Johnny."

Valeria smirked. "That's not hard."

KC grinned. "Exactly my point."

---

By evening, Peter, Susan, and Sable found themselves at a rooftop restaurant, overlooking the glittering skyline. As they enjoyed a quiet moment, Peter looked at them both, a genuine smile playing on his lips.

"You know... It's rare I get a day like this. No suits, no villains, just... us."

Susan reached for his hand. "You deserve this, Peter."

Sable nodded. "We all do."

As the stars shimmered above, Peter whispered, "Happy Valentine's Day," grateful for the fleeting peace and the hearts that kept his from shattering completely.

---

KC, dropping Franklin and Valeria back at the Baxter Building, chuckled as Franklin yawned. "Alright, you two, time to call it a night."

Valeria grinned. "Thanks, KC. Mom and Dad owe you big time."

"Yeah," KC smirked. "And I plan on collecting."

As he left, he sent a quick text to Peter: "Hope your dates didn't kill you. The kids didn't kill me. Call it a win?"

Peter replied instantly: "Still alive. Barely. I owe you one KC."

KC chuckled. "Happy Valentine's, Webhead."
